Tv lamps ugly? Heck, no! Love them, I’ve got five and always looking for more! I rotate them through the gutted vintage tv from my grandparents’ farm, they are beautiful!

I remember the pouffe, pretend leather, round or square with a cord around its middle, Dad on the couch with his feet on it, ankles crossed, watching the tiny tv, with sliding doors you could close across. Then came Habitat! thank goodness.

TV lamps..."horrid design choices"? They are highly collectible and better made than most lamps of today. I am fortunate enough to have an original Chase brass/bakelite ship's wheel lamp with fibreglass shade. I treasure that lamp so much......

I don't mean to sound rude, but what does your grandmother's rocking chair from the 1920s have to do with this topic about the 1950s?

@@garypesci746 The question was posed earlier if we had any furniture from days gone by. Sorry you felt the need to chastise me for sharing about my grandmother’s rocking chair. Anyone starting with “ don’t mean to sound rude” is about to become rude. Nice try

@@denisesmith2745 I saw the question "Does your family have a piece of furniture from the 1950s?" Not "days gone by". Apparently you misunderstood that question and misunderstood my question. I was just curious, not trying to be rude, apparently you misunderstood that as well. Too bad you have such thin skin and read in meaning that wasn't there.
