Thanks for posting this! It is a grail game for me, not because of accessibility but because of price. Some day...

Michael Melen I’ve heard some talk of it being made available in one form or another this year. Maybe the price will come down? With the somewhat recent boom in train game production maybe the prices will start to decline from “boutique novelty” to “expensive mainstream”

@@BankruptcyClub I believe Scott Peterson will Kickstart this later in 2020, so I am saving my lunch money. Now I need someone to give me lunch money. As an Anglophile, this is an auto-buy if the price comes down to 'pricey'.

Ian, this video series is great, and you seem to keep doing them on the right games. So, from that place of love, understand when I say, please don't use that cover image again for any more videos! :)

I really do want to play 1822. It'll be great when All-Aboard has it for sale.

Have you ever played 1825 with all boards and extensions?

I’ve never played 1825 though some friends have. They said it was wild

Any chance you guys do a play of 1822/MRS during the Kickstarter this month? I would love to watch that!

Paul Priest I was just thinking that we should after Scott mentioned it would be on Kickstarter soon. We’ll have to carve out some time for it because it’s a long game but I think so.

What's y'alls favorite 18xx? I am new to 18xx and started watching your videos; which should I start with. I like the idea of stock shenanigans, but dont want the stock part to be the whole game

Yashar We like 1822 and it’s derivatives, along with 1862, because of the variable setup. Reading the game state is something we enjoy. I would start with 1889 or 18Chesapeake. Those are both 1830-style games that have some good stock action but don’t get bogged down in it. 1846 is nice opener for operational games. 1849 is also pretty good for all its kind of unusual mechanics while not being overly long

Can this game even be considered an 18xx game? You spend at least half the game time bidding.

Steve Gagnon If you’re looking for a lot of stock shenanigans, like what you would see in an 1830-style or 1817, you won’t find them here. The auctions mostly stop around the 5 trains giving way to “normal” stock rounds. The auctions do take up a big chunk of the game but at its heart it’s an operational game.

How hard is it to say Pounds instead of Dollars? I don't think you managed it once!
