    If your symmetry options aren't showing, go into the view menu to activate them.

    If the symmetry options aren't showing for you like they are at 10:00, click 'View' then click 'Symmetry options'

    36 years coding, but I look at pixel art and my brain goes to mush. This has helped a ton for my personal project I been developing, as I been using place holder circles and squares as pixel art due to having zero confidence. Shall be utilizing your channel a lot with all the good information you have on pixel art. Thanks for the RUclipss!

      If I can, I'd also definitely recommend Brandon James Greer. Him and Saultoons are fantastic for learning, though Brandon is a bit looser when it comes to teaching, you have to know how to analyze stuff to get the full benefit.

    Although I am not major in department of art, have no painting basic, but I really like pixel art so much and would like to try it

    This is without a doubt one of, if not, THE BEST tutorial video I've ever come across. No nonsense filler, or hand holding. Just quick and thorough explanation allowing the viewer to pause and jump back at their own pace. The density is so refreshing. Pls make a tutorial for everything in existence.       @@saultoons Thank you! I also have some questions that I hope you are able to answer if you don't mind :)
      When I got to the part where I had to use the magic wand tool, I had created 2 groups like you did in the video and I flattened both, but when trying to select a color it instead select the whole square with the donut in it. I tried changing tolerance and contiguous but that didn't seem to do anything either. What am I doing wrong here?
      Also, what would you recommend when making pixel art? Keeping as much as possible on one layer or seperating layers with color, lineart etc?
      Cause I tried making lineart on one layer then making a new layer with color but when trying to use the paint bucket tool it just colors in the entire thing, is that because I need to make sure the lineart layer is the top layer? :)

    10 ish years using paint tool sai and i go to aesprite and it feels like I just started drawing. The pacing and little story you used to help teach made this SOOOO EASY. oml thanks so much for the tutorial!

      Yeah there should be some overlapping knowledge for other software too because art software is so similar :D What do you use? :D Or just chopping wood for your Beaver dam?

      I am actually on mobile which makes a lot of things harder,but ther eis this app that is very similar to aseprite called pixel studio

      Yes I've used Pixel Studio it's great! I'd recommend Dotpict too on mobile if you can try it, it has a unique but nice drawing method :)

    Cant see the symmetry button??
    - First you have to make the symmetry controls visible going to View > Symmetry Options menu, and then you will see the symmetry buttons. Your welcome :3

    This was really helpful!! Got my first job a while ago involving making pixel sprites for a game, and although I was confident in my drawing abilities, I had no experience in pixel drawing.
