I loved the way you handled him. The amusing scene was his getting into the trailer with a mouthful of hay and a stance that “lied” to the other llamas: “I fixed her! “ 😂
A lot of it has to do with how skilled she is at reading what he’s feeling and thinking, moving when he’s had enough in one spot, coming back later…. Letting him know she isn’t going away, either. It was like watching a dance with an experienced partner.
I'm not surprised when a man does something stupid. It could have also been intended as sabotage, but my money's on general stupidity, especially given how long this one hasn't been shorn.
Let's be honest, it's an old guy and his grandson in Texas who, haven't even shorn their Mountain dwelling animals in 4 years; we know they're not intelligent. Even aside from an empathy thing, why let any part of your herd get stressed out, overheated, and die?
I was most impressed that she bluntly told them to be quiet. That llama had never been touched or shorn, it must’ve felt like a real, shock, and both she and he could’ve been hurt. The animal’s safety and comfort, and her safety, were most important. She had to focus intensely and keep herself and the animal safe, and they were insensitive to both. She stayed in firm control of the llama AND the guys. I didn’t see this as a feminism thing, or a reason for viewers to take a swipe at their gender. I saw just two professionals trying to do a hard, dangerous job without undue stress or extended time on the llama, and the men yelling was inappropriate. The llama was more important, and he needed to have a good first experience to build on, for everybody’s sake. When things are crucial there’s no time for social niceties.

I used to live in Houston, Tx. So yeah, I know how hot it can be and I feel for animals with long hair. Hugs to you and yours for your abilities. Stay cool.
You are so good! It's a privilege to listen to you as it is fascinating to learn about these creatures.Thank You to you and your wife.
He must have felt amazing. Feeling the breeze for the first time in years and the heat being more than enough to prevent sudden nudity from feeling uncomfortably cold in its contrast to the sheer amount of padding he was covered in. And no more pinching from the matting!
I really like your narrative and concern. I am not a “touchy-feely” guy, but the respect shown goes both ways. Be the boss, but be calm. Awesome job!
Beautiful work, he looks so comforable and cooler. Poor baby do sad that he went so long with all that mess. He is very fortunate that you were his first person to shear him. Thank you for your kindness towards them.😉😉🥳🥳👍👍😇😇💯💯👏👏🙏🙏😀😀😘😘😚😚🥰🥰🦙🦙🦙🦙🦙🦙🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑
Great job! Love the voice over, 5 stars!
My father, a Gypsy Holocaust survivor who could deal with any animal perfectly, would have respected your understanding of how each being feels, and your respect of each. Thank you from both of us!❤❤
He is gorgeous!
Watching you shear these overgrown animals has a calming effect on me!
You do such a great job, This Lamb sure needed shearing !!!

I don't know why I enjoy watching you shear. Never had sheep or any other large animals. Maybe it's how you stay so calm when working with animals in general. Admirable trait and kudos to you both. Oh yeah, and Mr
Llama.
How talented you are. I think your attachment to the animals must help. Love to watch you and your ‘client’ at work!
I really enjoyed this.❤
Super cool, awesome work, on point as always
Thanks so much for sharing this video with us! So relaxing, so interesting, and what a learning lesson about shearing! 😄💖💖
