I just bought one of these for college. I start tomorrow and I'm actually watching this video on it right now because I want to hear what other people have to say about it. So far personally I am loving it and I think that it will be great computer to take notes on during my lectures. I'm a photography student so I will probably be editing my photos on here I will edit this comment as the school year progresses. :)

@@Usman34210 Hey sorry for the late response. Yes I so far absolutely love this laptop. The only thing I find quite annoying is that it is not compatible with photoshop, but that is because I'm a photography student have to edit a lot of pictures lol. But if you are going for something that requires a lot of note taking this is a great computer. It's fast and it's easy to use :)

Nice review, the screen on this chromebook is actually really impressive. Keep in mind some look exactly like this but don't have the IPS FHD screen, Walmart has one for cheaper but the lesser screen is in the fine print. The main seller of this device is the screen, hands done. Also, don't all laptops have sleep indicator lights (or most at least)?. I've been using laptops for over 20 years and the little sleep lights are something that everyone should be used to be now.

@@bestopinion9257 Marketing around chromebooks is terrible. You might find a chromebook 14a but with a HD ready instead of FHD. Or another one with a FHD IPS but with 4 Gb of RAM. it's pretty confusing. So the answer to your question is: yes, but you got to check the SKU your seller has

I don't have it anymore . It can handle few tabs open for sure easily . 10 hour battery life is average for some browsing , video watching and gaming . If you doing just gaming or video watching battery life will go down by 30% for sure .

I have just bought the same model number of this Chromebook from Amazon, but the processor is N4000 instead of N4020 that you mentioned.
I can't find the N4020 version of this Chromebook though.
I bought this one on Best Buy it was on sale I believe Christmas time . Then they haven’t had them in stock at all anymore . I believe in description it says n4000 but when I got it it was n4020
For people who don't need windows but like the look and feel of it, chromebooks are a good option if you buy a quality one.

I just got mine.....the B&O HP.....is great....the sound is great too......this is one of the last that Will carry the B&O brand ....Thay went to making TVs and Speakers.....Thay no longer make Radios and Stereos like the BEOs etc....it is sad to see great stereo and radio manufacturers go down to just make speakers and headsets....I wish they would make Shortwave again

I tested it from 10-15% to 100% in 2 hours . So from 0-100 should be around 2.5 hours

@@MiloB Thanks. May be. But I think the issue is on chromebook side. I read about this. Some chromebooks can make this, some (same model) - not. May be this is program bug. If you can change this, please tell in your video. :)

Yes most def would . Good looking 1080p screen and decent sound and pretty good battery life also.
How do you like Chrome OS animations? Like resizing windows, dragging & dropping windows to split screen mode, collapsing the quick settings menu with a swipe down gesture.. stuff like that. I just don't get it, how after 10 years the UI is still this janky. My Asus C434, m3 with 8gb ram is plenty powerful enough.
I love everything else about Chromebooks but this is a huge letdown for me.
I noticed that also which is why I don’t multitask with split screens as much I do that on my IMac mostly . I agree that after 10 years chrome books still aren’t up to their full potential . My biggest pet peeve that annoys the most is running games and apps . Some are optimized but bigger majority just can’t run or are different resolution and show up in small screen or cut off .
@@MiloB Google Stadia games are pretty much all I do. I can't believe how amazing the games run.
When you get a chance, swipe down to collapse the quick settings menu..instead of tapping the arrow. The same way you'd swipe to close the quick settings on an Android. It stutters on the way down it's so annoying. If you tap the little downward arrow tho, the menu closes nice & smooth. Wtf?
@@John3one7 I did that swipe down gesture except for me is swipe up since I changed the reverse scrolling option and I don't have any stuttering myself on this chromebook .
@@MiloB wait? Reverse scrolling changes the way your touchscreen gestures function? If I activate reverse scrolling, it only changes the mouse pad gestures.

No I don’t have this one anymore . Honestly I really liked this chromebook for the price it was one of my favorites . I saw one at Best Buy by Lenovo for 129$ . 14” screen 1080p resolution only difference is cpu . Personally I haven’t had issues with HP brand I had few laptops and couple chrome books .

You gotta check the requirements on your vinyl cutter and see if it works on chrome os

Yes I recommend it . Go over your requirements and make sure that you won’t need windows 10 because this runs Chrome OS

Yea most apps that are available for chromebook can be downloaded . I really enjoy Chromebooks they are very fast and great battery life .

This one doesn’t have backlight there is few models of hp 14a . It does have play store already installed .

screen flickering is from the camera recording its not like that in person . You can install linux . Windows you can but would not recommend its too weak to run windows good also small storage so once u install u won't have anything left .

Oh gosh don’t have it anymore but would assume for at least 4-5 more years . I reviewed lot of chrome books and none of them were under 2027

I would choose the 14a you get bigger and 1080p screen better colors and brightness . When it comes to cpu they are evenly matched but I would go with intel 4020 . If you using it for stocks u gonna spend lot of time looking at screen so go with bigger screen with better display

Maybe some light stuff . For heavy graphic design u will need windows with graphic cards . It’s good performance for what it is meant to and that’s browsing , watching videos and light android gaming

How to enable touchscreen?
This chromebook is not touchscreen .In case you do have different model and u disabled it . To activate the Chromebook touchscreen toggle, press Search + Shift + t

I don’t think Microsoft is available on Google play store anymore you have to run it from the browser

I just ordered a similar Chromebook as the one in your video. Costco has a great deal right now. $200 for a HP 14 inch, 1080p, 64GB of storage, free wireless mouse, and free HP case. Can't beat that for a super cheap Chromebook.

There is android version of Microsoft office or web apps . Only way to do actual open office is with Linux I believe .
I don't know how to get caps on this Chromebook
Press the Alt key plus the Search key and it will activate caps lock. An icon with an up arrow with a line under it will appear in the notification area at the bottom right of the screen when it's on. Hitting those two keys again will turn caps lock off, as will tapping the Shift key. So there you have it.
But with this pc you can download the Sims 4 using origin?
I believe you could play it with GeForce Now I have video explaining how you can play pc games on Chromebook. You can connect your origin account to that and if u own sims 4 you could play it that way. I don't think you can use Origin app on Chromebook.

No ram is soldered into motherboard . I believe all chrome books are like that .

Touchpad / trackpad yes it comes with it . If you talking about touchscreen then no this one doesn’t have it

There is google play store where u can download apps . Same was as you would on phone or tablet

It’s not flickering in person it’s just from recording it appears like that in video .

True but you can still use it after updates end or sell it on used market and add some money and buy something newer that’s what I usually do .

Yes I would . Beautiful screen , sound , keyboard and touchpad is good also . Battery life is great . It doesn’t have touchscreen though if you need that .

Should be on the side if its not there then you dont have it . There is always different variations of laptops so always make sure u check pics and specs before buying.

Its a built in . Right click on desktop and choose wallpapers and u will see different option I belive that one is nature there is like 20-30 different ones and u can refresh daily .

You shouldn't put a Chromebook to sleep at all for long periods of time (like all night) to begin with. It boots so fast that there is no point.

It does run it but depending on a game it can get laggy also it’s not a touchscreen so it’s harder to play .
