Hello I let my nephew have it for school for now since he is doing virtual schooling . I do recommend it a lot especially if you can find it on sale , if you aren't in hurry maybe wait a bit and keep checking Best Buy they do have sales on this specific one often . Im not sure about dual booting with Linux I haven't tried that so cant comment on that .

Want to play this pc game called phasmaphobia but my old laptop i'm currently on is 5-6+ years old and in need of a upgrade. So far since having this laptop. How are you liking it? worth the buy or not? and how much did you get yours for? btw 64gb memory isn't a lot right? My HP i have now has over 400gb stock
For 379$ it’s awesome price . I paid 400$ for mine and it included headphones . Battery is good and everything else seems to work awesome . You won’t be able to play any pc games on this . It runs chrome os which is very similar to android tablet so you will be able to play most android games on this . 64gb isn’t a lot especially if you planning to add lot of games . I don’t play games so I’m totally fine with storage didn’t run into issues yet .
They have some on amazon I included a link in description right now its from third party sellers but amazon has good return policy in case you run into some issues. Also check Best Buy site sometimes they come back in stock .

Well this runs chrome os so would depend if all your programs will run on it . Other than that it’s amazing laptop for browsing , taking notes , watch videos , researching etc … also not heavy to carry around and has pretty good screen and amazing battery life .

Really depends on what you use computer for . If you using it mostly for browsing , videos , music , apps and you carry it around a lot I def think it’s worth switching . You won’t experience any viruses and crazy pop ups or adware . Depending on which windows laptop you have but this chrome book is very fast and amazing battery life . Just make sure all the programs that u using on windows are compatible and that there isn’t something u can’t live without because this chromebook runs chrome os and won’t support most windows programs . If you have android tablet there is good chance that this chrome book will have all the apps the android tablet has .

Salim Altallaa really depends what you use it for . They run different operating systems so make sure chrome books can do everything you usually use windows laptop for . If it’s for browsing , apps, streaming videos and music , school , carrying it around I would def go with chrome book .

Its possible to install windows 10 but its a long process I wouldn't advice unless you are very tech knowledgeable. If you looking for windows try looking into some sales on windows laptops. U better off buying windows laptop with decent cpu and then upgrading ram and ssd. When u force Chromebook to become windows laptop lots of things can go wrong and become unsupported .
Don’t think there is a way to get steam on it in first place , Unless u get Linux . I think it will run Minecraft and games similar to that nothing graphic intensive . I wouldn’t buy this for gaming purposes for same price of this u can buy a decent gaming laptop especially on Black Friday .

Well first thing you should do is write down a list of things you use on windows like programs or apps and see if chromebook can support them. Chromebook runs on a very simple Chrome Os so you wont be lost its much simpler to use then any windows laptop. Writing papers on it is nice and smooth I really like the keyboard and trackpad . Battery life is a big difference because this one lasts at least 8-10 hours and most windows laptops I used or owned last between 3-6 hours so thats good if you on the go and writing papers .
I would say all newer printers are compatible . If you want easiest connection make sure you buying wireless printer . Also if you already have a printer or buying one just google that printer and check requirements should say if its Chrome OS compatible .

Well if you using it mostly for games I think the fans will kick in more often no matter which version you have . When cpu gets hot it needs to cool down . I haven’t gamed for long periods myself so can’t tell you how annoying fans are in that scenario .
Ok thanks for the heads up. I am having to decide between an i3/8GB RAM/64GB storage/backlit keyboard which is more expensive than an i5/8GB RAM/128GB storage and no back lighting but I would like a fairly quiet one. Which one would you go for? Otherwise I could go for an asus c434 which prices similarly.
Don't know yet if I made the right move but I return the Lenovo chromebook Flex 5 to get this one HP with the best buy promotion, the 8gb Ram plus the fingerprints sensor was the reason but the student discount was a no brain decision.
You def made the right choice . Chromebook is amazing so far only thing I wish the screen was a bit brighter I feel like I have to up the brightness to 70 plus percent to be a good viewing experience. Most of my other electronics like phone , iMac , tablet I keep brightness at like 20-30% .

No I don’t have this laptop anymore since I started doing reviews more and buying them myself resell the laptops after reviews . If it’s 100 Euros cheaper I would go with Lenovo if it’s same specs and touchscreen .

its a 720p , 2mp camera and its probably same quality as u will find in most laptops and Chromebooks . It looks fine in good lighting . Its very subpar compared to most cellphones front cameras. It does take pics and videos and you can use it for video calls and conferences .

C Garrett if it’s same chrome book I just reviewed in that video the keyboard light is on by default . Moment I turn on the chrome book keyboard is lighted up so if yours is not lighted up might be defective

I have this laptop but it doesn’t have google play-but you show that you can download it. Is this an upgrade?
For me google play store was there right away. Try this to turn it on
How to enable the Google Play store on a Chromebook
Click on the Quick Settings Panel at the bottom right of your screen.
Click the Settings icon.
Scroll down till you get to Google Play Store and click “turn on.”
Read the terms of service and click “Accept.”
And off you go.
Google play should be on every Chromebook

Hi do you ever here the fans on there please? Does it kick on when you are doing youtube and that kind of stuff?
Nothing too noticeable honestly . When you charging it and using it at same time fans might be a bit louder because of increase of temperature .

Well if you using it mostly for games I think the fans will kick in more often no matter which version you have . When cpu gets hot it needs to cool down . I haven’t gamed for long periods myself so can’t tell you how annoying fans are in that scenario .
Ok thanks for the heads up. I am having to decide between an i3/8GB RAM/64GB storage/backlit keyboard which is more expensive than an i5/8GB RAM/128GB storage and no back lighting but I would like a fairly quiet one. Which one would you go for? Otherwise I could go for an asus c434 which prices similarly.

Don't know yet if I made the right move but I return the Lenovo chromebook Flex 5 to get this one HP with the best buy promotion, the 8gb Ram plus the fingerprints sensor was the reason but the student discount was a no brain decision.
You def made the right choice . Chromebook is amazing so far only thing I wish the screen was a bit brighter I feel like I have to up the brightness to 70 plus percent to be a good viewing experience. Most of my other electronics like phone , iMac , tablet I keep brightness at like 20-30% .

No I don’t have this laptop anymore since I started doing reviews more and buying them myself resell the laptops after reviews . If it’s 100 Euros cheaper I would go with Lenovo if it’s same specs and touchscreen .
Do you have a problem linking your phone to the chrombook?
No I haven't had issues and was receiving text messages on chromebook also
@@MiloB For some reason it does not give me the option to link my new phone. It only lets me disconnect and connect my old phone.

Chrome books aren’t made for gaming or advertised for gaming at all . If that was your goal you should have bought a windows gaming laptop .

No those games are for windows this runs ChromeOs you might be able to play fortnite for mobile but I don’t know how compatible would be

This one is touchscreen . Maybe u turned it off by accident . Search+Shift+t . This allows a way to toggle touchscreen on or off.

Pacifica Walsh if you haven’t done it initially on first setup go to settings and I believe privacy and find fingerprint option and add finger . It’s similar to any phone that has fingerprint sensor

Ernesto Mendez you can buy a stylus and I believe you should be able to draw on it if u find that app that works with chrome book . I’m not familiar with drawing apps or sites and don’t have styles so can’t test that for you I’m sorry .

Its pretty decent last chrome-book I reviewed had 220 nits so you def appreciate 250 nits a lot more coming from 220 nits lol
is the camera quality good?
its a 720p , 2mp camera and its probably same quality as u will find in most laptops and Chromebooks . It looks fine in good lighting . Its very subpar compared to most cellphones front cameras. It does take pics and videos and you can use it for video calls and conferences .

@@giselle5105 Yes I think it would make great laptop for school. Zoom runs on web but I believe they do have a app that could run on chrome book also . Just make sure your schools requirements don't require windows or Mac OS based computers.

Don’t think there is a way to put apps on main screen . I know u can pin them to bottom of your screen by selecting app and selecting pin .

When i got this device there was nothing related to App Store thats was already installed here

C Garrett if it’s same chrome book I just reviewed in that video the keyboard light is on by default . Moment I turn on the chrome book keyboard is lighted up so if yours is not lighted up might be defective

I usually charge it when it gets down to 15-20% and I charge it to 💯. The little light next to charger port changes light .
Milo B. Thanks for answering my question, I put my laptop to charge when it was 7% and I just went to see it and if the light changed it, it took about 2 hours to fully charge.
