So lucky if you installed one thing without staff permission you get detention for 10 days (not 10 days, but every day you have to go to detention at lunchtime, get to eat in there)
You can't really customise a chromebook or install things on one, so the wi-fi password not being entered may have been the only thing the reset affected.
Just a quick editing tip: On some parts of the video, you use white text on a white background, which some of the text I can not read. Maybe try using black coloured text or put the text somewhere where there isn't a white background.

i have the same chromebook and it's running windows 10 LTSB 1507, probably the best ver of windows you can run on that laptop without stripping out defender and windows update
instead of deleting the partitions manually, you could have pressed shift and f10 to get into cmd. you then could have started diskpart, and used the "clean" function to completely erase the drive.

I don't know if this has any USB 3.0 ports, but I'd imagine it could get a little better performance if you ran Windows 2 Go via USB, not only would you have more storage, but the overall speed would be much better I'd imagine! If it's a proper implementation of UEFI, it should work! It's easy to set one up. just grab a spare SSD, a USB adapter, and use rufus with a regular ISO, select Windows to go, and it'll do a fully functional install right onto the USB drive that you can then boot and use like an internal drive.
For terraria, you can change the lighting from Color to Retro for an extra boost of performance, this is a tip I've kept seeing for a while way back but I'm not complaining because it did give me 1-2 extra fps...
Now try with Lubuntu or something else lightweight. And with console ROMs, not Windows/Linux games. Maybe even Arch with a very lightweight desktop environment.

Hey man speaking from experience I've done this on a Peppy and an Auron-Paine (and I have a pixelbook that I intend to do this to in about 3 years) how do you figure that windows is easier to set up than Linux? When we're talking about Chromebooks we're talking about a fully Linux machine already, every port input device all of it works out of the box and is mainlined into the kernel. The "hard" part is just flashing mr.chromebox's coreboot. After that it's just a PC.

Fair enough, but proton has offered better performance for me than windows in some cases, especially with the older games I play on a machine like this Also newer Chromebooks get updates for like 10 years. That pixelbook I was talking about earlier was released in 2017 and is still getting updates until August 2027.
