  • Hiking to the lower Switzer Falls via the Gabrielino Trail in the Angeles National Forest. If you're looking for trails and best hikes in the Los Angeles and Pasadena areas in Southern California, this is a hike that is approximately 3.6 miles round trip and rated easy in some areas and moderate in others. Follow along with John, Nina, and Curt as they take a day hike through this beautiful area, ending at a small waterfall.

    I've done that hike to the waterfall. It's a nice hike with some good shade. Love that waterfall. Great video! Brought back some good memories. Thanks for sharing.

      You don’t have to unless you want to. We were fine without it. There’s plenty of other people around so didn’t see any bears and they’d probably scare off easily especially if the trail is busy

      I don’t recall seeing any signs or anything prohibiting anyone from getting in the water unless something has changed since I went there

    Went there earlier today & was disappointed. Idk if the waterfall sucked or I didn't find it as it was only about 2mi out & back & I didn't get to go into the waterfall as I had hoped.

      Sorry to hear that. Wonder if it’s a bit dried up or something but if you only did 2 miles total maybe you didn’t make it all the way. I believe it was roughly 3 1/2 miles round trip when we went
