So excited to see that you are reacting to Hall and Oates. Love them!!!
Me too!

New sub here, loving your style, gurll!
I was not a Hall & Oates fan back in the day, just too pop-py for my taste.
But I rediscovered Daryl during this lockdown...and what a music man grew into! Just wow!
Plz react to this
Daryl & Booker T
*Never Found A Girl*
ruclips.net/video/uVt3I-HupRE/видео.html
Booker T and Eddie Floyd wrote this jam & had a big hit with it back in 1968. Your grandparents no doubt remember dancing to it.
Booker played guitar on the original, here he has moved to the instrument that made him a household name.
I think you'll enjoy this; if you do, I've got more! 😉
Me too dal 1982 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I really appreciate how you do your reactions. They aren't exaggerated
Thank you so much!
It's actual live instruments. Daryl Hall is a great keyboard player and John Oates is of course a great guitar player and he also sings. They always played instruments and they had a self contained band meaning that no one else was playing the instruments for them. This song has synthesizer keyboards (they get all kinds of sounds out of those), drum machines, saxophone and bass guitar. Synthesizers were big during this time in music in the 80s. There's a video of them recording a song from the album this song is on called Go Solo from their H2O album on youtube if you want to check it out and see them actually recording a song. Also check them out singing and playing this song live. The 1983 version is my favorite.
Thanks for the backstory and for the request.
@@CC2Cents_ No problem😉 and if you wanted to listen to John Oates sing lead check out the song Possession Obsession. There is a video for it on RUclips if you haven't seen it already 👍🏿
Thank you. 😊
I got married in '82 when this came out. Hall & Oates were a staple on the radio back then, very popular. "Maneater", "Kiss On My List", and "I Can't Go For That" come to mind as other songs you might want to check out by them. The shorter one with the mustache was a race car driver as well, I don't know if he still does it though. Great reaction as usual, stay safe and take care.
I know "I Can't Go For That", but I don't know the other two. Thank you for the request. Thank you for the support! Stay safe and take care as well, thank you.
Listen to both of them, even if you don't do a video on them, they are worth a listen. :-)
From 6th grade all through HS...Hall and Oats was played every dance. Everyone. (cool and the gang too ;p)
Hall & Oates had some serious smooth soul flowing through their veins..."One On One" is an absolute "VIBE!!!" Good job with this reaction too CeCe, keep up the good work!!! Please don't forget my previous request for the "Live" version of AWB's "A Love Of Your Own" at the House of Blues in Los Angeles, CA...I sent you the link last time...Thx!!!
Hall & Oats had a live band and a very good one.
Greatness
The NBA used this song as a promo in the '80s and there has never been a better sports marketing moment. Watch the video ... and you'll end up watching it like 30 times in a row. Poor Paul Mokeski ...
Check out I Can't Go for That from Hall and Oates. Yesssssssssssss. Sara Smiles, She's Gone, on and on. Fire in that rabbit hole.
this was an awesome group in my day, one of the best and one of my favorites!
Really nice songs!
When you can sit through an entire song without commenting...that's when you know it's good.
Bigger than both of us!!!!
Thanks. My Favorite! 🤗🤗🤗😊😎
No problem, thank you!
Yeah I remember it seemed that it was this time (1980's) when videos became a fad and very important such that there was almost always a video that went with every new song in pop rock!
Sarah Smiles is their smoothest song.
Love his song. It's so flirtatious without being vulgar.
This was another one of their Hits. The Jacket that Daryl Hall is wearing is similar to The Jackets he wore as a Member of The Temptones inspired by his Alma Mater Temple University. If you can check out "Girl I Love You", you would think you were listening to some "Lost" Motown Music, and he also went to School with Kenny Gamble along with his Future Partner Leon Huff helped epitomize the Philly Soul Sound.
Thanks for sharing.
Love music ❤
Yes, it is!
Love it❤
FYI: Hall and Oates owned the Radio Air Waves for most of the 80's. This is when MTV just got started. No onw really knew how to make music videos, and the artists Really-Really-Really hated doing music videos. But Money rules, and that was the beginning of the demise of true talent. Labels took over everything and began creating music without instruments, for people who cant sing.
Daryl Hall is 75 years old and still Kickin it on his RUclips channel Live From Daryls House...
Thank you for sharing.
essa musica é demais
As an 80s kid : late 82 - early 83 this song, Sexual Healing by Marvin Gaye and Breaking Us in Two by Joe Jackson were the "go to" slow songs with the girls.
Sorry so much. I'm such a huge fan of theirs that I take introducing their music to someone seriously. This is just a small bit of their discography but these are the songs and the albums that introduced them to listeners. She's Gone (1973) from Abandoned Luncheonette, their 2nd album (Re-released in 1976). In 1976, Sara Smile - Daryl Hall and John Oates album. In 1977, off of album Bigger Than The Both Of Us - Rich Girl. In 1978, Beauty On The Back Street album - You Must Be Good For Something & It's A Laugh. In 1979, Bebop/Drop & Wait For Me from the X-Static album (Although great on the album, Wait For Me was later re-released in 1983 official video from a live concert filmed at the Montreal Forum. A must reaction.) - In 1980 came the huge breakthrough with their album Voices. It contained several favorites like: How Does It Feel To Be Back, You Lost That Loving Feeling (A Righteous Brothers cover) and Every Time You Go Away (Later covered by Paul Young In 1985) - The 2 big hits that helped bring them to the musical forefront on this album, but released in 1981, were Kiss On My List and You Make My Dreams (Come True.) In 1981 they released another album that shaped the 80's, their careers and MTV: Private Eyes, Including the title track and I Can't Go For That (No Can Do). Off of the same album in 1982 while Your Imagination and Did It In A Minute got airplay, they released another album - H2O. This album included some of their biggest hits: Maneater (1982), One On One, Family Man and Italian Girls (1983). In 1983 they released 2 versions of the Christmas song, Jingle Bell Rock (As well as, 2 video versions with both Daryl and John singing lead). In 1983 they released a greatest hits album, Rock And Soul, Part I. They included 2 new songs: Say It Isn't So (1983) and Adult Education (Released in 1984). It also included the live version of Wait For Me. In 1984 they put out Big Bam Boom album: Out Of Touch (1984), Possession Obsession, Method Of Modern Love, Somethings Are Better Left Unsaid (1985). In 1985 they released Live At The Apollo album where they sang their hits as well as sang Temptation songs with Eddie Kendricks and David Ruffin. Daryl put out a solo album: Three Hearts In The Happy Ending Machine (1986) with songs like: Dreamtime, Foolish Pride and Wasn't Born Yesterday. Daryl also did a duet with Dusty Springfield in 1995 - Wherever Would I Be. John worked with Icehouse on the single Electric Blue. In 1988 they released Ooh Yeah! with Everything Your Heart Desires. They released 2 more albums and toured. In 2003 they had a #1 hit with Do It For Love. The following year the released an album of Soul covers. This album also includes a song specially written for them by composer Dan Hartman in 1982 but they already finished their album and working on another one. He decided to record it himself and it was released in a 1984 movie Streets Of Fire. The song version they did on the album was soulful but also more stripped down than Dan's version who had passed by this time. 2006 they released a Christmas album Home For Christmas. Episodes of them singing songs on this album can be found on RUclips on the Live From Daryl's House series. A portion of the sales went to Toys For Tots. They also can be seen in the 1985 video of USA For Africa - We Are The World. In 2018 John released his memoirs: Change Of Seasons and he released a solo album Arkansas with the title track. Daryl started working on renovating old homes in upstate New York. He showed the step by step progress on his home he uses for his online show. In 2007 Daryl started a live stream show: Live From Daryl's House where he jams with a variety of artists in a casual session doing Hall & Oats songs and the featured guests songs and favorite choices. Daryl also opened his own restaurant - Daryl's House Restaurant & Live Music Club (Daryl's House Club) in upstate New York. They were still touring even until forced to stop due to Covid. Daryl is 74 and lives in upstate New York. John is 72 and lives in Nashville. Sorry too much.
Thank you for sharing their backstories and for compiling a list of songs (some I've never heard of).

Cece I just love it when you smile you should do Sara Smiles and I Can’t Go For That by this group👍🏽🥰
Yes, it would be nice but because I know both of the songs, it wouldn't be an authentic reaction.
Thank you so much for the compliment!
Understood but do you know Two Suns In The Sunset by Pink Floyd or The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin? If not it’s reaction time😉🤗🙏🏽
Reaction time it is👍🏿
Thank you.
Thanks
cece - check out "Celo Green - Live at Daryl's House - I can't Go For That". Daryl Hall is pushing 70 Years old! Great Hall and Oates song!
Oh cool. Thanks!
Not want song means. Actually it was him signing about needing alone time and not being out on the road all the time.
1982 was a sort of "tweener" year with live instruments and electronics. I think Hall and Oats were more on the electronics side.
Sounds like it in this song.
I was just married to my 1st black wife when this song came out. She loved Daryl! 🤔🤔🤔🤗😎
@Ocean Dan Yes. Is there a problem? I like black girls! U got a problem? 🤔
Ocean Pussy, what? 🤔🤔🤔😎

This was nothing but real musicians playing... no beats or any of that fake crap they use in today's music
Man eater!!!
Imho..The big 80's music was ..Generally speaking . Horrifically terrible...digita n computerized ..NO SOUL.. The late 60"s early 70's n mid 70's is where it at... My ear are true..N won't tolerate robot musicians
I hope you aren't calling Hall & Oates "robotic musicians".
