    Get a kevlar parachute protector and save the chute from melt holes. A C5-3 is more impressive for my Estes Mercury Redstone, you should try it next. I'm using a payload section and the kevlar parachute protector adds mass. Consider building an up powered 24mm powered Jupiter-C, using an ejection baffle and composite Blue Thunder looking like the real thing. SuperScaling

    Estes had some great kits back in the day. When they become available I try to buy them. Thanks for the history lesson and keeping model rocketry alive.

      Yes quite a bit of lawn mowers and grass...it's all burnt up. But grass none the less

      That's the old Estes/North Coast Command launch controller. They oop but show up on ebay sometimes
