Dramatic moment cow falls from lorry into middle of M6

- Dramatic footage captures the moment a cow fell from a lorry into busy traffic on the M6.
The animal dropped onto the inside lane of the road at around 10am on Tuesday 1 August.
It can be seen skidding towards oncoming traffic, forcing drivers to take evasive action.
Police say another cow also broke free two miles away, and the motorway was closed for around 90 minutes between junctions seven and 10.
The cows were left injured according to the Central Motorway Police Group.
Kevin Rogers witnesses the bizarre incident unfold in front of him.
“The cow fell out the bottom of the lorry," he said.
“I was the first car coming head-on to it and I managed to miss it."

We know that those poor animals are not on there way to a lovely place I think we should care a lot more for them while they alive.
I'm not telling anyone not to eat meat I understand the base of an healthy human diet does include meat, all I say is respect the animals life you use to keep yourself alive.

You are bang on correct, these animals should be well looked after and not treated bad or with neglect.
I enjoy eating meat, and would like to think that if a real alternative was available that was safe I would use it, but I then think what would happen to all the animals we make use of, basically they would be made extinct after all not too many people living in the city can keep a cow as a pet.
So these animals should be treated with respect and care, if that means higher prices then that should be acceptable to everyone.
Thats a Milk cow. So on its way to a nice field somewhere to chew some grass and make some milk. It wasnt going to Hamburger University.
@@BrokenEyedVeganBeing vegan is not for everyone, just the same as eating meat is not for everyone, but being vegan to stay healthy takes a lot more work,especially as you don't find all what you need very easily to stay healthy, and some problems take years to develop so 4 years may not be long enough to know if you are actually eating a healthy diet.
@@flitsies do you live in UK? The alternative is vegan, it is not difficult and you can still enjoy your favourite foods. The word “humane” does not exist in 99% of UK farms… do some research and learn the truth about animal farming and plant based health
This could have caused a serious accident. Driver ought to be checked and lorry. This is not a funny incident, but a very serious oversight by driver of flawed lorry. I transported horses for many years, checking lorry floors and conditions after every trip. I took my job very seriously both for myself, my equine passengers and fellow drivers. They dont know how the animal lived or died and probably dont care because they are interested only in eating.
Most people probaly haven't even been on a farm. Let alone killed the meat they intend to eat.
Mankind has developed farming as it was easier than hunting.
If you look at the eariest known civilization that changed from hunting to farming, their were consequences.
The civilation grew and built houses and started basic manufacturing of objects that could not be carried nomadically.
They could not sustain the population and bad weather meant bad crops so the animals were killed and the civilization died out.
Of course, we would not be so stupid.
Its a viscous circle of over population, business thats hard that feeds an arrogant and ignorant society that demands life become unreal at the expense of many people and nature.

@@ronan8834 I may be wrong but I think he is eluding to the fact most people infact do not know how the cows live and die, nor do people really care.. I am a butcher so I know how they are farmed, how the meat is processed and how the quality of the meat can be effected through stress.. but honestly before I did my butchery courses there are alot of things I didn't even consider.. its an interesting line of work to get into as I'm sure being a farmer is also

Both heifers were fine and not sent to slaughter they are dairy heifers

I think the trailer got damaged or had damage to its floor. The cow seems to fall out of middle of the trailer. They get in and out through the big ramp at the back.

@@ronan8834 your right but not fully, Dairy Cows are still slaughtered for meat after they are done milking and no good for that anymore which is usually about 3 years, maybe not all the time but certainly alot of the time they are still used for meat. Infact 10% of meat is from dairy cows
