Insurance will fix your car, give you a rental car, but it'll cost you your time at the accident, maybe several hours, then maybe an hour on the phone with insurance, then more time with the adjuster, then to the collision repair center, get your rental car. A month goes by, car is fixed. Pick up your car, things are not PERFECT. The repair area is off by a millimeter or two, so things leak, air comes through the door jamb, parking brake doesn't release. After 3 major car accidents, the other person's fault, I've learned my lesson. Always drive as far as possible from the cars next to me. If I gotta pull over the side of the road, I do it on an exit ramp, so less traffic. My 2 vehicles were NEVER the same after the repairs. Parts were NOT OEM.

Beginner mistake, even though I was an experienced stick shift driver at the time.

@@italkgory99 Hmm when I was new to it I dumped the throttle a bit too hard and popped the bike straight up. Thankfully the bike weighed under 400 pounds so I was able to keep my hands on it somehow and walk it back down without dropping it 🤣the issue is gassing it too hard after letting out the clutch. Beginner mistake, even though I was an experienced stick shift driver at the time.

The first accident was in Houston, my car is the white vehicle in the foreground. I was trying to get the truck drivers attention before he hit the sign but he was just paying attention to the road. When I realized he wasn’t stopping I sped up to avoid the crash.

that bed raising thing happen to me.fortunately i caught it before i hit anything.the dash valve failed all by itself.theres a raise,neutral and lower position.when the valve failed it caused the bed to raise in neutral,i had to hold it down in the lower position all the way back to the company yard.that was fun

Those freeway signs are EXPENSIVE. Like hundreds of thousands of dollars when you consider all the steel, lighting, the signs themselves, and the massive logistical operation it is to install them over an already operating freeway. Just the signs themselves are surprisingly expensive, I used to work in a sign shop that had a contract with the DOT to make them. They aren't ordinary signs they are highly engineered to be reflective and extremely durable and corrosion resistant.
