I love this film from my childhood, the whole trilogy plus Hilary Swank in The Next Karake Kid. Mr. MIYAKI was a legend, I really miss him, having never known him but he was a big part of my childhood. They don't make films like this anymore. Gone but never forgotten Pat Morita. 💔
Loved this movie so much about as much as the original…..Shocking for all the ppl that think this wasn’t as good. Maybe the story wasn’t quite on the level as KK but I just loved the Miyagi backstory and delving into his past. Ahhhh and let’s not forget about Kumiko probably my first film crush 😻 ❤️ seeing as I was probably 7 or 8 when I first saw this being as I was only 5 years old when Karate Kid II released in theaters. She was amazing in this well for her big screen debut. Also want to give an applause to that young girl Daniel saved during storm wow what a performance! 👏

The nostalgia levels are unlimited! How i wish i could go back to these times, every friday getting excited because i got to choose which VHS i could rent out. Nearly always exorcist or evil dead even though i was like 8..best times, but not appreciated at the time.
My favorite parts of this movie were about the relationships between Yukie and Miyagi, and Kumiko and Daniel. The Tea Ceremony scene is 4 of my favorite minutes from any film. This is a beautifully done video. 🙂👍🙏
Japanese guy in this video training Karate kid reminds me of special neighbor had where was from in last century. They were in containment camps in world war II and never told me of their sadness. My father was world war II hero and helped stop the war. That Japanese family made me feel different about many things. It is best to respect the culture of others nations.
Ralph macchio and most importantly pat Moritas Mr Miyagi and Daniel Larusso honestly is the soul and spirt of these movies without them the films wouldn't be what they were, and the casting for the villans was just amazing couldn't ask for better actors, true TV gold a age of storytelling and acting that will not be matched. I am so happy that cobra kai turned out the way it did cause at first I was worried but when I saw it I was taken back to my childhood its like we never left, the only sad thing is pat Morita is unfortunately passed a true amazing actor such a shame but I am most sure he is proud to know that cobra kai has been able to revive a trilogy I never thought I'd see again period.
