Damn! I didn't even know that was in my manual. I also didn't know that my truck could do that. Lesson learned. The message here is to ALWAYS READ MANUAL
Just bought a 2075 replacement Servo for my Stampede 2 wheel drive VXL. My old Servo finally died after 7 years of almost continuous use. Broke back in May of 2017. Sat on the shelf for 2 years because I got busy with other things. Just came back to get it going again and I found out that the replacement seems to have the same issue as the original Servo. That issue is that it seems to favor turning to the left more than the right. That is easily fixable with steering trim. But even then, it'll still want to throw more to the left then the right. I knew I needed to dial back the throw going to the left on the servo. It was actually stressing the servo a bit, as I could hear this continuous buzzing. Turning to the right was fine. I just needed to lessen the throw to the left, but I didn't know how to do that because I couldn't remember how get to the proper menu in the controller setup to do that. Now, my controller setup along with my receiver and entire system including the truck itself is actually quite old as I got it as my first Traxxas truck way back 2010 for Christmas. The controller is actually the older style Traxxas TQ Traxxas Link(tm) controller that actually has very small antenna on it and a much wider base. It looks nothing like the TQi controllers of today. Luckily the TQi controllers use the same menu setup as the old 2.4GHz TQ Traxxas link controllers of days gone by (possibly the old FM style radios of ancient times as well). So that was lucky. Super glad I found this video because I probably would not have found that cheat sheet of the proper menu tree sequence otherwise. XD
Thanks, I was hoping it would be slow enough and simple enough to follow. I was like many people before I found the programming tree, reluctant to do the programming.
Thanks for the video! I got the Bluetooth module link in order to make the process easier by using the smartphone app. After 5 minutes of having the TQi transmitter on and testing its futures through the smartphone application ,the transmitter turned off (damaged) and never got on again. I sent it back to traxxas and now i wait for the verdict. I just want to say dont trust the module link and do it as the good sir in the video. Manually. Otherwise (modulewise) its a risk.
ACSolidus. 1st check and mess about with the "multifunction knob" not the streering trim, the other one..... Then it looks like it's the steering dual-rate or steering percentagr.... Download the pdf manual and at the end there is the diagram I showed in the video and try programming the steering D-R.... If nothing works DONT WORRY!😃 You can always make restore transmitter to factory default. There is the instructions at the bottom page of the tqi guide and it'll come like new... Then set endpoints again and try to be careful and hope everything goes well 😃🙂...... I "messed around" with multifuction knob and every thing turned perfekt. 🎮😊👍This came from. JulDBest RC.
This video helped and made my life much easier but as soon i turn it off and on again, the setting no longer there and have to set it again.. After i did my setting i holded down the menu button as you said to return to the green light. Do you know how to save it for good? Thank you much appriciated! Best wishes!
I have a big problem setting up endpoints. After setting the endpoints, the endpoints are saved. After switching off the regulator and disconnecting the battery and then connecting the battery and starting the regulator, the endpoints are in the factory settings. Some solution?
thanks for your video. i set my endpoint as you did, the saved endpoint was gone when i restarted the car and transmitter, i had to reset it every time, can't figure out what went wrong.
I'm not 100% but I believe they were these or similar www.ebay.com/itm/1-9-Beadlock-Wheel-Rims-for-1-10-RC-Rock-Crawler-Car-Traxxas-TRX4-SCX10-CC01-D90-/133046601799?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
Wow. That’s worse than trying to program a 1980’s VCR. It’s BS that Traxxas doesn’t just make the blue tooth module standard across the board. This is 2022 and it seems like everything is Bluetooth enabled. The more I learn about Traxxas the more I dislike the company.
Thanks for the help, now my dad's Trx4 finally works again
Thankyou buddy that's a big help. Just got the 79' bronco and have same issues . didn't realise it was such a common problem.gotta love RUclips
Works great, got a new higher power servo to upgrade my Bronco and it had a little more travel than the stock servo. Thanks for the post!
The link to that cheat sheet is so incredibly valuable! Thank you for that "hack". :)

Very clear explanation! Thanks for your help buddy!!!

@@fixitbroken1175 Probably one of the fastest replies to a comment I've made. XD.
Hi,glad to see i wasn't the only one to have same issue I'd set mine pretty much as you did,I believe I'd adjust the end point between 75,85%
Thanks, I didn't want to break an axle 😂 I was nervous if the traaxs transmitter could do it since it's so basic 😅
maybe an very old video....but thanks man!helped me a lot!!thanks for sharing this sir
Ohio boy! I’m from Cincinnati myself. Good video thanks!
Thank ya so much! Got a new servo and was binding really bad, thought I had to buy somethin to fix this but nope!!! Great video
Sure thing, I was afraid I'd have to buy something too, but didn't and wanted to share it in an easy to follow format.
It also works for different vehicles. I tried it on my slash 4x4, and it worked great!

Immensely helpful man, thanks.
And now is fine
I knew someone would know why my servo upgrade was making me cringe. Thanks.
great tutorial :)

nice, thankx!
i did everything you said and do but it seems like it wont save.
thanks for this vids... and it's resolve your problem not turning on the ground? thanks
It was turning, was just shaking due to the binding.
Does it turn back to the default steering end after a couple of days?
how can I program the red switch to leave with a drag car
It's binding because no load on driveshaft

Hello, when i press and hold mode button to get to normal mode i loose steering. Any idea?
Same here! Have you figured it out?
Can you put a link on where I can get that and download please
thanks for your video. i set my endpoint as you did, the saved endpoint was gone when i restarted the car and transmitter, i had to reset it every time, can't figure out what went wrong.
What transmitter?
How is rs
How can i reverse this setting? I want to reset to default with full steering and doesn't let me.. Thanks traxxas..
He explains in the video you hit set to reset it at one point. Then just save and exit
@@OswaldBeef Thanks for trying to help brother. I fixed it some time ago. Waiting for a 6ch radiolink remote as well in the mail. ;)
