Kudos for you both drivers! Actually I‘m impressed how good the 86 performs on the straight line compared to the s2000. I wonder if it is the 86 driver or his oem suspension that slows him down in the curves.

Bunta Fujiwara Sorry, first I mixed up springs with coilovers and springs usually just make the damping worse.
susurs78 i use cusco zero 3S coilovers with 8/8kg springs , just need more and more practice now :)
H. Yann nice! What are your suspension settings like like king pin angle? Maybe you can play around with these, although its a lot work on the rear axle and not possible for oem.
susurs78 -2° front , rear -1,5° can't low more for more angle , it's my daily car , i have to keep balance between track and daily car ;)
i believe the brz is the better car in this situation, with equal power but better tires/handling. but the s2k driver had better lines, which is why it was always sticking to the brz! props to the s2k driver!
It might be intersting with slicks tires as well on the s2k, I had some low cost tires that day
Brz was taking wider lines and still had pace it’s real nice to see videos like this
Throw some Bridgestone RE-71r or some other really good performance tires on there and you’d be much faster on the turns!

Looks like the s2k had the better lines, i thought forsure youd pass him because you were much more aggressive but good race none the less.

How are you getting 240HP from the 86 with an exhaust and an E85 tune? Impressive dude!

Most make around 220, but if it was custom tuned its possible to hit around 230whp with e85 and bolt ons with the fa20.

Forget the HP in the GT86. The only change needed is the replace of the 4.10 diff gear ratio to 4.88 and this little monster could manage more cars like this s2k in the track. The GT86 has better plataform than s2k to modify for track conditions.

Besides the tech difference in vehicles, S2K takes a better than then the GT86. Def can tell the S2K driver has more confidence in himself and car. Keep it up!

Your link show a 204 Whp .. or 240 Crank HP ... and i have a ecutek tune (by monstaka) and EL header (better at high rpm than a UEL)

40hp? That's a 60hp increase. But 40 is definitely doable with most can tunes and e85 with the brz/frs

C'est 240 HP moteur , ça fait en gros 205 CV à la roue. Et les Ad08r c'est des très bons pneus sportif, considérés à tort par certains sites comme semi-slick , mais en aucun cas de véritables slick 😉
240 at the crank , need supercharger for more. I have catless exhaust with ecutek flexfuel tune.

Pretty much stock s2k vs highly modified FRS. That s2k is a beast.

Salut Yann, Malheureusement la carrière de ma S2000 s'est subitement arrêtée ce week end en allant au nurburgring elle a été accidentée sur l'autoroute par un ami... je me suis rabattu sur une Mégane 3 RS, vidéos du nurb à venir ;)

H. Yann la megane est une excellente voiture, très joueuse et très performante mais je dois avouer que la S c'était un autre monde, c'est une voiture de "transition" je pense revenir très vite avec une 350z ou une m3 e46

Dude. I own a BRZ. I love it. I race it. It's modded, tuned and runs on E85. I was rooting for the 86. I don't give a flying fuck which DRIVER won. I do care about bullshit HP figures being tossed around. This is the problem with the internet...people talk shit and other people believe it or simply don't care that someone's putting out mistruths for the entire population of earth to digest and regard as fact.
D R altitude can play a role in horsepower readings too. Just because your car doesn't make the same numbers is completely irrelevant. I have an 86 too. You're not making any points at all just butthurt nerd raging over things that don't matter. Go do something productive w your desire for accuracy.

stock vs stock.gt86, lack of hp/trq and weighs the same as an S. you do the math.. also the lack of spirit. the frs/brz/gt86 is a poor excuse of a "sports" vehicle. nice attempt Toyota.
Both lack torque in low revs, in fact the S2000 is probably worse for that. But on a track you won't be in low revs unless you make a mistake. Over 4k the gt86/brz is pretty punchy.
I'm an Idiot stock for stock. Run a brz 3rd gear at 6k vs a s2000 in the same power band. Who will pull ahead? Oh, Sorry the brz is already nearing redline at that point..

I know this comment was from 2 weeks ago but stock for stock they aren't all that different when talking lap times. Heck, the Brz lapped Tsukuba at 1:10 while the S2k did it at 1:15. The S2k wins out on bigger tracks like Buttonwood for sure though

Brz has better mods I doubt they are both 240 hp. I know how fast both these are stock for stock and s2000 has slight advantage.
antonioderas3 even though the 86 is slower their pretty much equal cause the 86 has better handling, less body roll, and underneath the car is much flatter on the 86 then the s2000
