It was my first time driving on the nurburgring,
At the beginning I'm fighting with a modded Focus RS mk2 (great sound) and at 6min30 i'm catching up 2 modded BMW M3 E36 ! It was fun.

You should really get a nice set of summer tires next time you push the car like that. You can tell they overheated pretty quickly.

It's most likely the convertible top latch. They rattled from the factory unless you performed the TSB fix on it.

Yes, Its a nice video and all....but I hated that RS driver for letting him go - its so addicting sound of that RS engine
When that back end slipped out the couple times I was nervous, but you caught it! Solid control and a great run for your first time! I could only do this on forza lol.

and yeah that mk2 focus 5pot sounds great....I wish the mk3 rs still had that engine since I am thinking of getting one next year

What exactly went wrong at 6:01? You barely turned the wheel and the car started to lose control. Curious only because I have a relatively new (to me) AP1.
You have to be careful when you turn while you brake, my balance was almost all on the front wheels, that's why my car got this reaction ;)

Sympa cette session. On sent que les pneus ne sont pas au niveau. Tu devrais passer en 17" 215/245 avec un pneu plus typé piste. Tu verras ta S sera mieux équilibrée et plus efficace.

Not heard of those tyres! If you get a chance to try Yokohama AD08R they are a superb tyre for the S2000 (from my experience on 17" wheels, at least). They deal with rain well too for a road tyre at the hardcore end of the scale. Again thanks for the upload.
AD08R 17" only ? the problem is that i'm driving with 16" wheels :) I'll check if they were made for my tyre size... And I don't know if that worth to put semi slicks on a stock honda s2000 ? maybe the reactions of the chassis will be weird
I think they do the AD08R in 16", there's plenty of info on the S2ki forum; Bridgestone RE002 are a cheaper and allegedly good alternative for 16". I've only ever run on 17".
AD08R aren't semi-slick (the A048 are), they're just a full-on road tyre. I've tried numerous tyres on both my S2k's and the AD08R are the best. I'm sure you'll like them since you spend so much time on the limit of traction where they are really sweet and predictable. They have a stiff enough sidewall to really complement the chassis of the S2k as tyres soft sidewalls are not compatible with the S2k.

Save the AP1! Espacially '99 - '01 ! Owning and driving one myself! Keep it up and shoutout for the drive ;) think I need more practice for your skill - level ^^ maybe you could need new tires on the other hand :D

joli coup de volant par contre au niveau châssis y a truc qui va pas, tes suspats, silent blocs et pneus se déforment un truc de fou, tu la gère mais c'est pas très safe comme comportement pour un s2k. à plus et merci pour ta vidéo c'est propre 😀
Salut, merci pour le commentaire, effectivement t'as bien analysé le comportement de ma S et je confirme pas mal de pièces HS, les amortisseurs arrière, les tirants de chasses et quelques silents bloc usés, le tout accouplé aux pneus bas de gamme que j'avais monté ça donne à peu près ça :)

I love the way the S2000 oversteers under trail braking into a corner.. it just wants to come out and play.
That rattle troughout sounds *really* familiar... roof latch rattle? I remember mine doing that because the brackets at the top of the windshield were worn. A set of new ones made it close snugly again.

I think the BMW's are 325's, e36 M3 emptied cars are lot faster than s2000 (in strights) with stock diff (4.10) , maybe with 4.77 diff the diference would be less

@image lol Umm yeah they will. I just watched another s2000 rip around the same track with a LOT more power and traction.
@@Spirited_Driver means absolutely naff all. Too many varying factors. Early S's are exceptionally sensitive to Tyre pressures and geometry settings. All it takes is a few psi and a few degrees of toe/camber to be out and they're lively.

@@Weihrauch88 fine tuning applies,I agree. ... But I've noticed tires make a larger impact.

Anttics its simple, know how to drive. Use a faster car with awd. He would be way faster in the rs, but his 2000 speaks values.
