  • My S2000 setup:
    - Mugen parts: Carbon Intake box, manifold, catback, Carbon front bumper, flat bottom, Carbon hood.
    - ECU TracySport
    - Chassis: Coilovers Tein MonoFlex, Front Break kit AP Racing, Front bar Spoon
    - Wheels: 17" PRODRIVE OEM size with Yokohama Néova AD08R (215/45/17 & 245/40/17)
    - Geometry adjustment: Camber Front 1° / Camber Rear 2° / Caster 6°45" / Toe Front 0° / Toe Rear 0°20

    3:09 was worth a couple of rewinds!
    For anyone doubting the S2000, these videos prove that in most cases it's limited only by the driver's skill.

      most frustrating corner (for me) on the Nurburgring, so unnatural, removes all grip from tires and violently shifts the weight of the car

    As always,very fast driving and you take the maximum potential of the s2000!A great car with great 'hands' is really very hard to be overtaken even in the nurburgring!!Very impressive!!!

      Il faut aller voir le calandrier 2019 du Club Objectif Circuit sur le forum dédié. Je participe à la plupart de leurs journées. En 2019, il va y avoir les 20 ans de la s2000 en Italie. C'est un événement à faire si tu as une S2000.

    Any idea why there is a rattling noise between shifts and off throttle in this video?

      dkphotography On this video, I fixed the microphone near the Mugen catback. I have a vibration in the catback at the intermediate. I'll try to réprer that.

    Where did you get yourr flat bottom? is it custom make? does it affect the temperature of the gearbox , diff or exhaust? and how does it perform?By the way nice driving! Only professional can proof that the s2000 is a track car!

      +Johnny Ip it's a half flat bottom, provided by Mugen with the front bumper. it stops until the engine and doesn't cover the gearbox.

    How is he avoiding snap oversteer in some of these situations? Like 7:24 for example...looks like he was hard on the breaks going into and through most of that corner. My understanding is that the tail would have easily come around on an AP1. I know this guy is driving an AP2 but still, shouldn't be that much different?

      My chassis is an AP1 but with modifications. I had racing tires size AP2 and I have 2 degrees of camber at rear wheels.

    Why so little front camber? Trying to make tires last longer or preference? Stiffer or softer front bar? Very different setup to most s2000 here in SoCal :)

      Julio Gorgé These are settings to use the car on the road. My S2000 must stay versatile. Wheel alignment allows participation in 6 trackdays with the same tires. The upper front bar Spoon allows to add precision on the front wheels.

    On most S2000 videos the driver does not know how to get the most outta a S2000. Not this video. This guy seems to handle an s2000’s apparent lack of torque with no problem.
