  • A few months ago I bought an LED USB-Powered Fireplace Effect similar to the on that was reviewed in a bigclivedotcom video. After a few months, the fireplace started to make quite an annoying noise, so I took it apart to see if I could resolve this the issue. Here we go!
Update: It has been six weeks since I made this fix and the fireplace is still running quietly 24 hours a day! I'll update here if anything changes.

    GREAT video! Thankyou so much!
Do you know what that transluscent burnt orange colored plastic sheeting is called that sits behind the logs. I am actually going to refurbish one of these, transplate the 'mechanics' into a much larger size box frame ... which l want to then place on a wall in my room.
Would appreciate any help in regards to the special 'burnt orange' plastic used for the backing! Cheers and kind regards from Melbourne. 🇭🇲

I believe it’s called a “gel”, but am not sure. Perhaps ask Big Clive and see if he knows since he’s worked in that industry, or perhaps someone else will have an answer here. His video is linked in the description. Thanks for watchIng!
