- My first unboxing EVER and I'm glad it was with the EXTAR EP9 9mm pistol carbine!!

Great little gun. I got my sister one. She was afraid of guns until she shot it. Accurate, supper light recoil her words "this gun is perfect for me." Then I let her shoot my glock G40 10mm. She didn't like that one. Lol
Congratulations man! They do sell fast too!! While completing the information purchase, they sold out before I was done (twice)! So what I've found to be helpful is to set up an account on Extar and to already be logged in before you attempt to purchase one (ensure that you complete your address and the FFL one too). I always checked between 10am and 5pm (Mountain Time). After one & a half weeks though, I was finally able to purchase one 7 days ago (at 12pm). I've purchased a TWOD red/green dot, AFG2 foregrip, and a KVP Linear Compensator for it. Can't wait!

@@zeroxthexhero100 when I got mine it said they would be in April 13, so I tried that day and they were in stock but sold out before I put my info in, so I tried Wednesday and got it. Keep in mind the 2 hour time difference. I would just keep checking, also a buddy of mines got one about two weeks after I got one, Good luck......
I think this is the firearm I'm going for. I noticed these comments were posted 2 years ago. I'll probably be ordering the Gen 2. Every review I've encountered on RUclips has given the Extar EP9 a thumb's up!
Finally got through the buying successfully last night. I've been trying to buy one of these for 2 months. Super excited, I already have a lot of the attachments! Thanks for your videos. Good stuff!

Bought one of these 9 months ago..flawless..put Sig Romeo mini red dot and angled foregrip on it and a couple fun sticks..For a little over 400 bucks this gun is a steal..

I liked mine so much i bought a second for the wife. Its light accurate and just damm fun to shoot. My wife and 12 yr old son were able to get silver dollar size shot groups at 25 yards... amazing... i have to look in my storage as i do not recall getting a bag for either, but it i placed it so the side the day i got the gun i could easily forget about it in all the excitement

Love the Extar. My recommendation for best reliability is to install different trigger and safety. The factory are plastic. Even the trigger is plastic with a steel insert. It's only flaw in my opinion.

I'm also in that group. We try our best to let others know when it's in stock but you have to be quick to jump on it because they sell very quickly!

Picked up one at a gun show in Indy brand new for $350 with the case.
Congratulations on getting your EP9. I wonder just how long we will be able to keep this weapon if the political landscape changes. Right now I am concentrating my efforts on ammunition reloading but that is also becoming a problem as primers are not available anywhere in the U.S.. I am down to about 400 small pistol primers and am having to severely limit my range time in order to maintain a good on hand supply. I agree on the range bag assessment, I should have waited to get a bag which really fits the EP9's configuration allowing for accessories that have been added. One thing I did do was purchase spare OEM parts which are avaliable from EXTAR.....just in case.

Thanks for posting. Are you sure the carry case will not hold the gun with an optic on it? Their website states "The official EP9 carry bag perfectly fits your pistol along with enough room for optics, other accessories, and four magazines".
Positive, especially with a 33rd mag. I'll show you what I mean in the next video. Meanwhile, I ordered a tactical bag from Amazon that will arrive next week that certainly fits the bill.

@@LBELLC I would think if you keep the mag out while storing it it won't be an issue. But I'm very interested to see all the accessories and how everything fits together.
I too ordered a bag from Amazon.com. I ordered the Condor 26" transporter tactical bag (which is $51). It's due to arrive on Thursday. Amazon also sells a bag that looks exactly like the one on the Extar site (it's $25). The one that I ordered has more room and compartments (and you can carry it like a regular backpack).

I'm on the fence right now. It does look plastic-ish though.
It may seem that way but it truly is a great home defense weapon. I'm over 1,500 rounds and have had 0 issues thus far. But please continue to do research on it for yourself.
Well it is fully plastic so that might be why it looks that way lol got mine Friday smooth running weapon

Extar customer service is the worst. Worst experience ever. Do Not Buy!!!
I'm not sure what happened during experience. I've never had to deal with them directly. Nonetheless, the weapon is GREAT!
My tip on the buffer tube got damaged sent an email and they replied the next day and sent out a replacement.
