  • well guy's I am very happy with these portals I did have to move my top links out as you seen and if I didn't have my winch mounted like I do I would have been able to mount the servo horn in the upward position but those little spacers worked perfectly so I am happy with it all If you want to get a set for your Everest 10 here is the link I purchased off Amazon you should be able to shorten the bottom links and use the stock chassis plates

    Those are awesome.....should really come with a grease fitting because it's not exactly like you're gonna blow out any seals by over greasing them

      Lol yea that be nice if they did but it wasn't bad taking them apart and putting grease in them they have been really good and tough

    Thanks for the video! Can't wait to see it run! I just ordered the dig transmission for mine last night. I hope to get to it next week. Depends on when it gets here. Going to AZ for a week on March 1st. I will shoot out a video whenever I can.

      Nice I also ordered the dig tranny and new radio to control everything radio will be here tomorrow got about a week and a half for tranny but yea the portal install went really well except for the link position and drive shaft angle but little adjustment and good to go can't wait to run it out hopefully it's supposed to be nice Saturday as it is raining here now Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it I'm not good with build videos lol but I think I got everything that needed to be shown to install on a Everest 10 chassis

      @@redneckrccrawlers9825 I am still learning to do videos myself. Sometimes I just want to build stuff. I end up forgetting to set up the camera at all. RUclips is helping me focus on one or two projects though. If I want to use the project for a video. That means I have to see it through to completion before starting a bunch of new ones. Sometimes I get so many projects going at once. I will completely forget about some. Hence the channel name.

    Had me a set of those portals, the front was little loose on the driver side control arm. Used some loctite and tightened screws and greased parts. roughly couple days the pinion decided to grenade. definitely would highly recommend shims to help with the wiggle slight play on those gears, or you’ll end up like mine with crunchy gears. overall really cool just watch out for excessive pinion play

      I love these portals best buy I did for the rig. Yes they come pretty much dry if you watched all the vid I did take them apart and greased everything really good and and yes I did have to shim the pinion on one of them I didn't show that on this video but yes they did forget to shim one of the pinions right so I did end up grenadine the the pinion. After shimming right they have been great love the steering angle and getting ready to order a stealth x tranny and overdrive

      @@redneckrccrawlers9825 not to mention they add a lil bit of height almost giving it that “lifted” feel. I got me a second one for the front coming in. Gonna get shims this time!

    On the everest 10 i installed these and are great and heavy. What driveshaft are you using? Because the stock didnt fit well and have trouble as they strip

    • @redneckrccrawlers9825
      @redneckrccrawlers9825  Год назад

      Yes the stock driveshafts do fit you just have to grind down the end just a little but I am using it the stock driveshafts pretty sure I showed that part in the install

    • @redneckrccrawlers9825
      @redneckrccrawlers9825  Год назад

      Now the stock links will need either shortened on bottom or lengthen the top I think that's how it went lol maybe the other way to get your pinion angle better lol

    Do they make these for the 4 wheel streering?

    • @redneckrccrawlers9825
      @redneckrccrawlers9825  2 года назад +1

      You would have to buy two front axles an then you could do 4wheel steer
