It’s debatable. Either in front or after overdrive/distortion is conventional. When I read about it and watched videos I thought I was going to put my Eq in front of my overdrive. But once I started to play with it, it worked best for me after overdrive. So I’m short. Experiment and see what you like best. No right or wrong, just what makes you happy.

what about parametric EQs they can also help shape your tone. try your eq in the loop before the power section or hit the front of your amp to slam or shape your tone before the amp pre :)

All good ideas man! I like the adaptability of a graphic however I like the simplicity of a parametric. Oooh, why not both!
