Old school is soo good Deputy. I got my 06 sportster 2:37 2 years ago and just love it. It’s got 103,000km and I’ll rebuild it and go again when the time comes. It’s still like new.
Man I’m 65 and I have been riding my 02 Electra glide since 26 thousand miles when I bought it ten years ago, she’s getting tired at around 150 thousand miles. Wish I could afford one of those baby’s!!!!!!
Hey Jerry thanks for all of the information that you put out there. Been watching you for a while now and I’m actually going out this weekend to practice the u turns and the breaking drills. Been riding for many years and I know there is always room for improvement. Enjoy!
I bought a2019 FLHTK. I struggled with finances for a year or so but I am so glad I pulled the trigger. It’s now payed off now and I also will probably keep it for ever.
Right there with you, Jerry! I have the same bike and love it so much. In fact, I am sold on only ever buying another ElectraGlide. A truly great riding experience!
I’m not a fan of modern Harleys but if I was to own one it would be this model (or the Road King you showed). It looks so iconic - it’s a real thing of beauty. Congratulations, and even as a “Sunday” ride it’s worth it.
Motorman, I don't ride myself although I have friends and relatives who do. I follow and enjoy your content and share it with others. It saddens me to hear your wife had to give up riding. For what it's worth I hope she can find a way to improve her condition.
I love the looks of these Icon models, but I don't care for how the seat places you up so high. The Heritage model is the only one that doesn't raise you up so high.
Couldn't agree with you more. The FL icons are all really pretty bikes. The FX I Couldn't figure out what they were commemorating. Would like to see the Hydra Glide. Looks nice in the videos I've seen
Great looking bike Jerry. When I saw the Revival back in 2021 I had a Road King and a CVO Road Glide Ultra in the stable. Fast forward to 2023 and I sold both bikes and purchased a new '23 BMW R1250RT. Later on saw a '23 HD Highway King Icon and I had to have it. Just turned 70 and ride as often as possible. Use it or loose it.
I love you Sir ❤ I Bought a StreetGlide Special 2014 103cui 1HD from the USA and i love my Bike. An original US Model on the german roads to Drive is a Dream ❤ Much love and many greetings from Germany Sir
Nice bike, I laughed when you mentioned about someone wanting to steal it if you go on a trip, so true. Maybe get a motorcycle cover that says Kawasaki on it, no one has tried to steal my Kawasaki Voyager yet, lol
Nice bike jerry , My bike is black and I'm going to put stretch bags on it. But I can't get the same color so what I'm fixing to do is put red ones on there.I put them on once and that bitc looks really good. To be honest am going to leave them red , black and red looks good together
You should just paint the bags. If it were me, and I wanted red bags, I'd do a 2 tone black and red and add some red pin striping on the tank and fenders. Here's a video on painting parts using quality automotive rattle can paint. ruclips.net/video/ly4oJsTGwGQ/видео.html
Hi Jerry, the icons are really nice, love your bike… a question for you, do you know if there is a way to lower the solo seat just a bit? I cannot find any information on it, I have the 2023 in hi-if magenta .. love the bike .. congrats on yours…. I have 129/750…. It gets a lot of compliments….. be well…
I don't know how you'd lower the seat but you can get a H.D. solo seat and re-upholster it to match the Revival. Hre's what that looks like. ruclips.net/video/RuUUp-kTSRo/видео.html
I ran into a similar problem with my 09 Ultra. Normally ride with the table top, wife prefers that to the lick N stick varieties hanging on the wall in the garage. I wanted the look of the original style solo seat but it made the bike sit higher. A friend suggested a company in Arizona called Bitchin Baggers. Send them your rear shocks, they cut mine down One and a quarter inches, made the difference for me, I am 5'7. Love the new solo seat look of nostalgia. Bitchin Baggers reworks the entire shock, new valves, new everything, they work great. Bike exhibits no ride-ability issues. Three years now and no problems, I know how far she will lean before she sparks..
Also, you should know, your bike already has the shorter 12" shocks in the back. That shock only has 2 inches of travel. Lowering it any further will severely limit your lean angle and cause the shocks to bottom out very quickly.
I've left the Revival exactly as it came. On my other bikes I usually just add Tab mufflers. The only one I've ever had anything more done is my 2022 FLHTP. On that bike I had the dealer add a stage 2 kit.
Well the good thing is the wife didn't put u in the dog house and u ended up with a beautiful iconic bike. The have 5 of these in the dealership near me and they are having tough times selling them cus of the new black out craze, so if i see the price come down on them i might grab one for myself. Thanks for a great video Jerry as always and ride safe as u can see what happened to Colonel West and another youtuber guy i can't remember his name they both got in accidents and they were not wearing protective clothing. Good to see that u wear protective gear as do I. once again ride safe.

Hey Jerry question I’ve ridden dirt bikes my entire childhood, and had RM 250, CR 480, etc. I miss riding and want to get a road bike to enjoy that feeling again, but I don’t know what to get. I’m not worried about skill as I can’t imagine I’d loose the skill. My street bike experience is limited to a few rides on a 70s SL350, besides being top heavy I didn’t have any issues riding. Unfortunately I’m a big guy so a little bike is well physically not possible, what would be a good starter bike that can handle height and weight?
I am curious as to why your wife can no longer ride after hip surgery . As someone who's had hip and knee replacement on my left leg, I am interested in the possibility of post surgery complications and what went wrong. I had hip replacement in 2022 and was on my 93 FXRS-CONV two weeks after surgery. The surgeon commented, "that's what we want to see" I guess I was under the impression that this procedure was bullet proof.
Sensei: I have a line on one of these. I’m thinking if you bought one for your wife (a talented rider) that you probably scoff at the idea of seat height being an issue if the rider possesses the skills. I'm working on acquiring them, but Im not sure I’m quite there. Although I’m 5’6” the learning curve on my Road Glide was not steep at all. But I’m not sure I want to be uncomfortable on the bike. Should I go for it and trust myself to acquire the skills needed to ride this bike with such a high seat, or should I let the opportunity go? It is a beautiful bike!
