Huge thanks for the video. I was having issues with my 83 burb LS 6.0 swap having to warm up on cold mornings. This made a big difference and improved throttle response. Big thanks.
thank you for great video explained perfectly and I plan on doing this job here very soon as well as my dreaded knock sensors as well. apperciate it buddy your videos have saved me so much money doing the work myself with your help.
This video helped a lot until I was torquing the bolts to spec…. Yeah my bolt snapped at 20 lbs…. Googled it and chevy says 8lbs for both the intake manifold and throttle body. I am what you call fucked now.
so i just recently cleaned my throttle body on my 05 gmc sierra 5.3 just because i had no check engine light on for it before so after i cleaned it i installed everything back the right way and did the 3 minute idle re learn well tried now when i turn it on it warms up good but once it warms up it starts to surge the rpm goes up and down then when i put it in reverse or drive it revs up and going into gear or to reverse, when i drive it and give it a little pull to see it it feels good i feel good normal power but as soon as i let go the gas now it stays reved up or accelerated then once i come to a stop the idle kind of goes down like slowly and just starts surging again , i replaced air filter cleaned my maf sensor before my truck wouldn’t do that it would die out coming to a stop though so i would just hold the gas to keep the idle from dropping all the way and stalling the truck but now it doesn’t let me even do that cus when i try it revs up on its own until i drive off and then it feels fine can this be my problem
@@TRQ That’s good to hear but the future is too late I’m gonna be doing this job without any form of information, you guys seem to let me down too many times
What do I do if my throttle body is drive by wire instead of electronic? Also, the plastic engine cover on mine has 2 bolts, one of which is spinning but not loosening. Also, one pipe from my EGR valve runs onto the engine right behind the throttlebody. I have a 1999 silverado 1500 with the 5.3l v8
So I got everything done, but I have a new problem. The hose at 3:50 broke and nowhere near me has one in stock, I have to special order it. Is there a solution that can hold over until I can get a new one? Because this vehicle is my only one and I need to get to work on Monday. It's Saturday right now.
I have a broken elbow pvc piece that goes into the disconnect of the throttle body at 2:54 seconds to that line broken.. does anyone know the part number or a source i can find that?

Might as well change knock sensors while you're in there

Very helpful video. Well narrated. Easy to follow.
Excellent instructional video especially detailing the electrical connection removal 👍🏻
This is not for 99 to 2003, this is for 2003 and above, which is fly by wire
Really well done, thanks for putting these out for us. Referenced the video when changing my intake manifold gasket.
These videos are so informative and helpful.
GREAT JOB on this instructional video!! I’m doing this on my H2 soon!!
What type of tool I will need for the fuel lines
Now is a good time to clean the intake. Get the injectors cleaned and the fuel line.
+@therealhip9321 Thanks for the tip! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Very well done video! Bravo 🙌
Can i use the fel pro 92211 blue gasket on a 5.3 flex fuel?
Why does it look like the old gaskets are still on when he's re-installing. ;)
I am planning on tackling this on my 2001 Silverado. Are there any other things you would recommend changing while doing the intake gaskets? Thanks

Great video 👍🏼
Do you guys have a video for a Chevy S 10 doing the same job, on a 2.2L ???
+Zachary Schaffino We do not have a video for this repair right now, but we'll keep this request in mind for a future video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ

Hello, can I still use these gaskets, if a few of my gasket clips broke off?
Just subscribed awesome video
At 21:26 he says Dees Nuts, anyone else notice or is it just me?
I giggled lol
Why didn’t you put the lower intake gasket on?
Guess I’ll be doing this seems easier than pulling out the dash and fixing my ac
I did all that and my truck won't crank over what did I do wrong???
I can't find a video on a Tahoe. Is this similar to one?
Thank you! ❤
So I’m doing it now but the valve to release pressure off the fuel line ain’t running out.

Bolt snapped at 40 foot pounds
Wash that engine PLEEEEASE!!!!
Why not blow all the debris away before you disconnect the hoses and take the throttle body off and expose it??? C’mon man😂
Did this take care of misfire issues?
