I just completed mine with the help of your video, great job. I have a couple friends that worked at Chevy. They made a good point to make sure where the head bolts go into are COMPLETELY dry. If not, any water, coolant in the holes will expand and crack the block. They have seen it plenty of times. I would of never even thought of that. Use lots of air and make sure they are DRY.
You need an angle torque wrench, can't do it without it. Maybe rental places, if not they're about $200. make sure you replace all bolts with new ones. Exhaust manifolds, intake manifold, etc etc.
This is one of the best instructional videos I have ever seen. Being a retired GM mechanic I am completely impressed with your video. Great job guys. Great job.
But how does the rocker arms be torque down do you just torque them down or got to position the cam to tdc ? Or its just like out them on and torque them to spec?
