Man you have no idea how happy I was to see this pop up. I really liked the last of your videos I watched. After an extremely long and especially 💩 day, this came in clutch. Thank you!!
Plus, Maynard was FREAKY back then. You'll see if you check out live performances. After reactions, of course😁. There's a hidden track if you let Opiate play through on the LP--FREAKY! Also reco No Quarter, Led Zep then No Quarter, Tool back to back. The homage these guys did to the original left me speechless. Totally drained.
Yeah this is a bit ago lol… they change bass players In 2 albums and they get way better in my opinion. This is a good representation of them then and if you do sober soon from the next album do the remastered version of the 93 concert live with him in the pink onesy to see an epic preformance where he sings the song as the embodiment of the addict And the addiction itself…👍
Also they released a 2.0 verson of Opiate, recorded just before their latest album. Its a great fusion of the progressive and classic Tool sounds. Its worth a listen!
There are never any "I think" with Tool. Maynard leaves it open to interpretation. Human experience shit. A decade from now, you'll see it entirely different. Great reaction ❤
I actually vaguely knew this one! 😂 U impressed me with the guitar and the polyrhythmness!! Aaaaahhhnndddd yes I will point out that you are an honorary Brit after that “bloody well” 🤣🤣🤣 I was NOT gonna let that one go 😝🖤
I’ve heard of all 4, not familiar with the music though. However, I have probably heard some Korn back in the day as that was another favourite of Brandon’s
Ok so skipping Korn then…. SOAD…. Check out question … not the normal start point but I want you to hear the harmonies of the singer and the guitarist ( also if your a fan of Tech9 there’s a collab between Tech and Serj (the singer) called straight out the gate Dream Theater… pull me under or as I am is a good entry point… these guys have all graduated from Berkley school of music or Julliard and in some cases were professors… Avenged Sevenfold…… probably Sheppard of fire for a starter…
You’ll love Opiate 2 🌀
Please check out "Jerk Off" off this EP. It has their best scream (IMO). Very angy Maynard in that one.
💯🤬. Favorite track. It's Maynard unleashed. Live!
opiate early. 1992 ,then Undertow 1993, then 30 more years of greatness.....tool army est.1993.........tool army est. 1993.....

Yay!!!!!! I mentioned this, I'm sure others did you too. So glad you're doing this.
Twice in fact 🫶. Appreciate it, like I said, makes sense and want to see the progression of their sound. Appreciate the support!
hey, recommend "Bottom, or 4 degrees" next, maybe he'll play one of them next..

Thanks man! Appreciate it 🤜🤛
If you do a reaction for "Opiate 2" you should watch the official music video afterwards. It's very bizarre but extremely creative. 🌀
Got it!

Ooooo this will be fun!! Angry Maynard was the best 😂🔥 this stems from "religion is the opiate of the masses"
Really really liked this one!
I recommend Swamp Song or Intolerance from their first full album!
