For sure the best band around today. Best band ever is a bit much, there are a lot of bands in the past that could compete, like Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath. But for sure best band today.
They’re considered progressive metal, I am a 62 year old retired preschool teacher and Tool is my favorite band! Been spiraling out to them since the ‘90s! Yes the bass is monster level but I am all about the drums ha and Danny Carey brings it on fire!!
I call them industrial metal but I honestly don't think one genre fits. And fsr I have always hated the term 'progressive' for ANY band. So are others 'regressive?' Music is timeless. And to the dude from this channel, yes its about hypocrisy AND the system. 'Kangaroo be stoned, he's guilty as the govt'. Kangaroo courts are often referred to in regards to the ridiculous system this ctry hails as superior over all others. Lolololol...no! And many others are just as corrupt, but we live here, and WE know it from experience and stories shared. Like the CP5 doing what? 17 yrs? WM3 doing 18??? All innocent of the horrific crimes pinned on them....sigh
Welcome to your new favorite band. you need to pull up lyrics on a tablet or phone when listening to tool ,because there is some deep topic to decipher
Based on this reaction, you are very very ready to be a Tool fan. They're so 🔥🔥🔥 Personally I would go with the Pneuma drum cam next so you can absorb Danny Carey in all his glory, then my faves (today, anyway) are Eulogy, Jambi, Right in Two, Aenima. But honestly you can't really go wrong, all their work is amazing.
TOOL is an intellectual, talented once in a lifetime band. Welcome and Spiral out, keep going down this rabbit hole. Weapon out and belly in. Your favorite song will most likely be the one your currently jamming.
Yeah, this is a bass song. Tool do a good job of letting each of the musicians shine. 46 & 2 is another of their more accessible tracks, and it has a _sick_ drum solo. If you want to go in deeper, I'd suggest Right in Two. It's one of their medium-length songs, and it shows the extremes of how light and how heavy they get.
No other band like tool! These guys are something special. Great reaction. Keep listening to more from them. They have no bad songs and so many masterpieces! 🌀🤘
Since you’ve been loving Zeppelin, and now you’ve discovered Tool, It would be fun for you to react to Zeppelin’s song No Quarter, and then to listen to Tool’s cover of it. Both are outstanding.
You have come across the greatest band on this planet. There will never be another one like them. Tool is the genre 😎 They also have the greatest drummer that ever lived. The human Octopus 🥁🐙
Th drums are the anchor for everything Tool does, with the bass being a monster and Adam on guitar rounding out the sound. Danny Carey (drummer) is absolutely elite - one of the all time greats. Justin on bass & Adam on guitar create quite the soundscape against Danny's drumming. This is progressive metal and you can feel the influence of Rush on their music.
Never apologize for pausing. We are here for YOUR reaction to the best rock band of all time! Pause 100 times per video if you want. #SpiralOut #TOOLarmy
Algo brought me here, love the unique take on the react format. Listening through and replaying clips is actually pretty interesting vs stopping and doing 5 min breakdowns throughout. Good shit bro, dive into those details more, that'll get you more engagement
Welcome to the army, you'll fit right in! A small word of advice, Don't watch the music videos for your first listen to any song. You'll understand why when you do watch one!
hell yeah brother, wish you well also if you react to more tool songs you need to remember that some songs are connected like the song parabol and parabola. you can also watch the cool music video for parabola that includes both songs
I agree starting with this one is best. When you get around to Pneuma, do the Danny Carey drum cam version. Tool is very bass forward, you're not wrong. Technically, Tool is Progressive Metal.
Ive been a fan since 1997, untill the internet was common, Tool fans had to figure out the lyrics on our own. Lol, i still sing a few lines wrong. Lyrics are just a part of the many layers of awesome
They are such a rhythmic and flow kind of band and you'll find the drums and bass driving many songs. Adam on the guitar serves almost as melodic accompaniment rather than the foreground
From "you'll love it right away" to "you'll love it when the time comes": Sober, The Grudge, Aenima, 46 & 2, Schism, Pneuma, Vicarious, Lateralus. And this is just the low hanging fruit...the rest of their discography is a masterclass in musicianship, just not as popular.
Pause as you need, we're in no hurry. It's Tool, we know. Excellent react. Please consider some early songs like 4°, Bottom, Undertow, Prison Sex, Eulogy, 46 & 2, H., Jimmy, then the entire discography, to be honest.
Tool is in a class of their own. Opeth is your next rabbit hole. It's like nothing you've ever heard. They have a sound of their own. So many good songs, but the best place to start is probably Porcelain Heart.
Honestly as a huge TOOL fan I don’t think I’d put The Pot in my top 5 TOOL songs. Don’t get me wrong TOOL literally doesn’t have a single bad song, just songs you personally like more than others.
Id say they are Metal , ....the chuggs, and the feel of the drums, is metal, but some of the movement is almost more rock, but overall its metal, progressive metal to be more exact. If you like Tool , check out Opeth, for me Opeth are to Death Metal and Black Metal , what Tool are to Modern Metal and Metal core(Meshuggah influence on Tool). They(Tool and Opeth) are a similar entity in that they both make long songs with many Idea progressions and sections, and both bands go from the quietest most delicate, to heavy or dark or what ever, They rise and fall like waves on an ocean, both incredible bands, they borrow ideas and progress them from a few different guitar genres, and both are metal bands at their core, but with a lot of melody and playing with rhythms
Nice pick up on the bass. This bassist is one of the greats. A lot of people try to duplicate his sound. He's awesome. The drummer is also considered one of the best in the world. Literally. The whole band is a well oiled machine. Spiral out!
I started learning this song. Been distracted so I stopped. I want to record more. But I’m getting over being shy. lol. Tried to play what I learned. Great song though. Edit. Advice for you. Start with their album “Undertow” then go from there. They fukin pwn it up. I was in the military when they came out.
9:20 - TOOL - the only band without a genre, kinda. Do 4 more Tool songs, TOOL is it's OWN genre. You mentioned "perfect vocal volume" - this is one of the most "vocal forward" mix of many Tool songs.
What category is "Tool" in. That is simple they are in their own category. It is the "Tool" category, you might be a wrench 🔧 some days or a hammer 🔨 other days
your reaction video hit me and I decided to stay and listen. New band to me. Nice rock and i love you reaction. At the same time, I came to look through your playlist. Good bands on your lists, Rolling stones, Band-maid, Rammstein.. But a couple of truly legendary bands are missing. First I want to introduce Sabaton - "Bismarck" ruclips.net/video/oVWEb-At8yc/видео.htmlsi=1WThyy9eBmvBOToy Second, I hope you try Nightwish - "Ghost love score" ruclips.net/video/47e_961OQWE/видео.htmlsi=A-q6niN2SN7l- Rq_
And down the spiral we go
Spiral Out!
Damn right, and welcome to the rabbit hole
Tool is best known for being the greatest band ever. Spiral out young man. 🌀☝️🇺🇲🤘
For sure the best band around today. Best band ever is a bit much, there are a lot of bands in the past that could compete, like Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath. But for sure best band today.
@@ingobordewick6480 I mean, is it really around today?
They’re considered progressive metal, I am a 62 year old retired preschool teacher and Tool is my favorite band! Been spiraling out to them since the ‘90s! Yes the bass is monster level but I am all about the drums ha and Danny Carey brings it on fire!!
My favorite band since 93 first listen
Wish you were my next door neighbor. 🤘
I call them industrial metal but I honestly don't think one genre fits. And fsr I have always hated the term 'progressive' for ANY band. So are others 'regressive?' Music is timeless. Legend... from a young buck. Much respect brother. X
@jarrodderr ikr!!?? I can never find people my age that like Tool near me!
Pneuma live, Danny Carey drum cam, is phenomenal and showcases the talents of one of the top drummers so well.
Greatest video on all of RUclips imo!! Admittedly I'm a bit biased as a drummer hahah
Also do not watch the videos as you take this journey…. The video will mess you up and distract you from the music and the lyrics 😂
LOL. This song is amazing. Time to fall down the Tool rabbit hole
Welcome to your new favorite band. you need to pull up lyrics on a tablet or phone when listening to tool ,because there is some deep topic to decipher
Schizm, the grudge, lateralus, sober or any of their songs really. They don't miss.
Totally agree Justin drives this song on the bass all day 👍
And the singer and lyricist Maynard James Keenan has two other great bands, A Perfect Circle, and Pucifer.
Yes, the bass is SICK, and is what drew me to Tool when they first came out!
Based on this reaction, you are very very ready to be a Tool fan. They're so 🔥🔥🔥
Personally I would go with the Pneuma drum cam next so you can absorb Danny Carey in all his glory, then my faves (today, anyway) are Eulogy, Jambi, Right in Two, Aenima. But honestly you can't really go wrong, all their work is amazing.
You missed 46 & 2 😊
TOOL is an intellectual, talented once in a lifetime band. Welcome and Spiral out, keep going down this rabbit hole. Weapon out and belly in. Your favorite song will most likely be the one your currently jamming.
Tool is a great rabbit hole. Start at the beginning and witness their growth
Here for TOOL 🔧 Greatest band ever! Do any song. They don't have a bad one.
Modern psychedelic music…. Tribal beats, shakra opening riffs…. And mind opening lyrics=Tool
This may be best description I have seen about Tool. Other than "It's Tool?"
I am so happy you are reacting to TooL my favorite band. Their music will always take you on a different experience with every song.
You would not be wrong. Justin crushes this song on his bass. More Tool please!🌀🤙🤘
Welcome to the Tool Army!😁🤘❤️🎼
Subbed for Tool! Keep going. Enjoy this journey. 🌀🌀🌀
No other band like tool! These guys are something special. Great reaction. Keep listening to more from them. They have no bad songs and so many masterpieces! 🌀🤘
Tool is simply amazing!
Since you’ve been loving Zeppelin, and now you’ve discovered Tool, It would be fun for you to react to Zeppelin’s song No Quarter, and then to listen to Tool’s cover of it. Both are outstanding.
The live version of Sober is fantastic. Studio version is great too!
This is the best one to do live…. Otherwise stick to the studio tracks!!!
only 3 guys playing all this, and live its practically identical. you're in for a wild ride sir. spiral out.
You have come across the greatest band on this planet. There will never be another one like them. Tool is the genre 😎 They also have the greatest drummer that ever lived. The human Octopus 🥁🐙

Lateralus is the song...spiral out...keep going...
By the end of the year, you should hit 100k. This channel is great!

Best band ever to see live !
Welcome to the army, you'll fit right in! A small word of advice, Don't watch the music videos for your first listen to any song. You'll understand why when you do watch one!
Have to have lyrics up .. and never watch their videos for the 1st listen
hell yeah brother, wish you well
also if you react to more tool songs you need to remember that some songs are connected like the song parabol and parabola. you can also watch the cool music video for parabola that includes both songs
Tool is Tool. They are their own genre.
Every once in a decade 4 or 5 people meet and they just produce magic.
Welcome to one of the greatest bands to grace us. Enjoy the ride.
Hook line n sinker !

I agree starting with this one is best. When you get around to Pneuma, do the Danny Carey drum cam version. Tool is very bass forward, you're not wrong. Technically, Tool is Progressive Metal.
Uh oh, now you’ve done it. Your musical mind has changed forever

Not a weak link in this band. They're ALL badasses.
NICE, Welcome!! Now you get to listen to it 100 more times for the first time.
Eulogy is my favorite Tool song.
🔥🔥🔥🤘🎸
The Pot is a good easy one to start with. Great song. It only gets better. Damn geniuses… every one of them. Spiral out! 🌀
Whoo! Never heard anyone nail MJKs vocals in the mix like that. On a first reaction? Subd
Welcome to the TOOL army, brother.
my best band
It’s wild my two most played artists are Tool and Ren lol
Tool is my therapy
Pause as you need, we're in no hurry. It's Tool, we know. Excellent react. Please consider some early songs like 4°, Bottom, Undertow, Prison Sex, Eulogy, 46 & 2, H., Jimmy, then the entire discography, to be honest.
You cant go to heaven if you dont love Tool. It was spoken. If you really love tool f it all you are in heaven.
If yer rockin wit da tool, I'm rockin witchu.
Imo "Lateralis" by TOOL is one of the greatest songs created. (Lyric video if you really wanna get the message)
Pneuma drum cam video is amazing!
Tool is industrial metal if you wanted to classify it in a genre. But, there are a genre in and of themselves.
Spiral Out, keep going.
Tool is in a class of their own. Opeth is your next rabbit hole. It's like nothing you've ever heard. They have a sound of their own. So many good songs, but the best place to start is probably Porcelain Heart.
Like comments are nice, but an actual reaction would be awesome.
❤Tool❤
checkin in...
Subscibed because you did Tool. Do more and your channel will EXPLODE, I promise.
✌️✝️
8:58 the face you make on your first rip of Tool 🌀
You should honestly do Aenema next! Then decide if you want to go deeper, cuz things will get much much deeper!
The best band of my lifetime, welcome....Tool has no bad songs.
Love the reaction. Do more tool :) I would suggest Lateralus.
Check out "46 & 2" "Lateralus" for starters. ❤
If you like bass forward, you might like Spiritbox. Rule of Nines would be a good one :)
Honestly as a huge TOOL fan I don’t think I’d put The Pot in my top 5 TOOL songs.
Don’t get me wrong TOOL literally doesn’t have a single bad song, just songs you personally like more than others.
Agree but it probably is one of the best songs to start with imo.
✌️✝️
Loved your reaction..Yes, Justin shines in this one. Keep going and we’ll come with you.

the bass does carey this song
Nice pick up on the bass. This bassist is one of the greats. A lot of people try to duplicate his sound. He's awesome. The drummer is also considered one of the best in the world. Literally. The whole band is a well oiled machine. Spiral out!
Progressive Metal

Edit. Advice for you. Start with their album “Undertow” then go from there. They fukin pwn it up. I was in the military when they came out.
Must do a live reaction. Mindblowing.
9:20 - TOOL - the only band without a genre, kinda. Do 4 more Tool songs, TOOL is it's OWN genre.
You mentioned "perfect vocal volume" - this is one of the most "vocal forward" mix of many Tool songs.
Like Pink Floyd.
