Great reaction. This song is referring to psychiatrist Carl Jung's shadow work. The Shadow is a part of the unconscious mind that contains repressed thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. He believed that people could gain a better understanding of themselves and become more balanced by working with their shadow. In a nutshell. The term 46&2 refers to the belief by some that humans will evolve to acquire another pair of chromosomes. We currently have 23 pairs, or 46. I'm sure that others will elaborate on this topic.
