Dan the little tour really made me realize how much floor pan and new metal you have welded in,I salute you sir!I would really like to see that Nova get some love.
Sell the two 56's, sell the "convertible" 57 and the the 68 Camaro plus the project car behind the fence and the Bagged Ride you don't drive...there is always another "Project Car" to be found. I mean look at what Neuburn found at that yard...he bought 7 tri-fives. Obviously the daily drivers have to stay as do the winter cars and that leaves you with 6-7 vehicles 8 if you keep the AC.
I did sort of the same thing that Derek did with Vice Grip Garage. I retired last year, and moved to Tennessee. His reasons were sound, he makes a lot of sense. I'm older than both of you (put together, I think). Linda and I live in a small town now, close to a larger town of 60,000 or so. It's very nice, and the winters aren't all that bad. We still got some snow this winter, about 10 inches overall, but it wasn't too much to handle. I tell people I'm an escaped Yankee. We got away from the crowds and crime of the big city, and we're really loving it here. I've been watching since I found your video of an old C10 you were giving the DD Speed Shop treatment. Whatever you do, I'll be watching, you're a genuine guy, and lots of fun to watch. I wish you and Danni all the best, in whatever you do.
DUDE Dan, MAD RESPECT on thinking 🤔 about your Dad and gifting him your unwanted cars. What an awesome son! The Brickland and the classy Nomad are something that your Dad can really enjoy, especially in the Summertime! You Rock Dan 👍. Thanks for the video 📸.
The problem I have is I love both the nomads and the black one just looks ratty but it's not that is 1 solid hot rod you worked your ass off on that car and took it from being left for dead to bringing it back to life and it can live on and make plenty of memories
Model A would be pretty cool to see you finally work on. It wouldn't take much work if you were just trying to build a rat rod. The Camaro deserves to be fully repainted, professionally and its original color. It's such an awesome car that you'll have fun with. You need at least a few nice cars to cruise around in.
Awesome fleet, I like them all! If I remember correctly, the TLB '55, the '68 Camaro and the Opel are out at Mike's place. Honestly, the white elephant in the room is what you guys want to do in the future. Will you stay in Winnipeg or will you guys and Mr. and Mrs. Mur fly further south permanently instead of just for the winter. Obviously, there will be no more duty free, less snow/cold, more room to store the current hot rods and even buy more, build a big cheap pole barn shop, no storage fees or gas fees to drive there, pay less taxes, be closer to events like Power Tour and the Tri Five Nats, etc.,etc. I am in the same boat with my pending move and it is a big commitment or leap of faith to leave the city, leave jobs, and leave Canada. It will take some serious thought! I know Derek at VGG did a great video on why they left Wisconsin for Tenn and it was a well thought out video! They also have their Vice Grip Lodge Channel which follows all of the progress on the building of their new Tennesee World Headquarters of VGG. I know you guys talk about that area or Georgia which are all central to the car culture out there and would put you guys close to Mur 6 mos out of the year as, I think they snowbird in Florida. You guys are young and really have the ability to take the channel to next level with the cars and way of life out that way. Having many more months out of the year to work on the cars, more combined space, being closer to the events and less taxes seem like big winners to me! Whatever you guys decide I will still be here watching, learning and enjoying seeing you save these cars and keeping them on the road! Best wishes to you all and keep up the great work!
Texas is open, no state tax, very little rust issues. But his accent might change. One thing, our summertime is brutal. I'm only sitting on 6 vehicles 4 run & drive, the others run but not ready for prime time.
I think a lot of people don't factor in a few things about "just move to the states". Not only is it a lengthy process, but also an expensive process, it is a lot more difficult than people realize to just pick up and switch countries. We love the southern states, but is it a feasible change for us? Only time will tell.
@@moreschmooYou guys are young and have plenty of time to decide whether it's best to move or to stay. My move won't involve moving from another country so, I haven't needed to factor that (although Kooklifornia is pretty much another country!) Best wishes to you guys!
Someday you could find yourselves with an opportunity on MotorTrend or Discovery, I mean look at your arc, it looks like VGG several years ago, so at some point you may need to look and leap into hyperspace. I'm kind of exited for you guys!
Mortske made a comment about Dan using expandable foam to fill in the rusted/rotted areas. I hope he was kidding, but to me didn't sound like it. Enjoy watching your videos. I wish I had the strength to do repairs on my 78 F-150 I bought new. Due to health issues I can't.
Good Greif lad, that is a collection that would make any car guy proud as punch. Do whatever it is you gotta do, we are here for the nonstop entertainment you provide. Rock On
Hey Dan, that's Lemans Blue. Paint it with the cheapest single stage of that color and then "realic" it. Might do the same thing with my 57 4 door to 2 door conversion. Just a red. Cheers from Junk's Automotive. I'll help ya for the bodywork 😊
Where’s the 2 lane black top 55 ? I love all your builds because you build like most guys can afford like me ! But I started following you because of your 2dr conversion and your love of Tri-5 and anything old plus you build them your style and don’t really care what anyone says ! Well I’m a follower no matter what 😃🤙🤙🤙 Aloha from Texas
It amazes me what you have in your head. You remember what you did on each car and what needs to be done. That would be enough with one or two cars. But on your entire fleet? Where is Dannie's Nova you took Cruisin the Coast?
I'd hate to see your insurance bill, LOL!! That blue fifty-five nomad is a beautiful car. That's the prettiest car that you have, and it's not wrong with that😊
Dan on your camero color you could get your factory blue mixed in lacquer , super easy to shoot and will flash off pretty flat or matt what your looking for just a thought .
You forgot to show your "Two Lane Blacktop" '55 but I think I remember seeing it in field storage a few videos back. Love that car. I like all of your project cars. Dropping my 454 off at the machine shop tomorrow to get bored and the rotating assembly balanced. Good times. Keep up the good work. BTW: Igor is a nickname friends gave me when I was young. My real name is Paul. 😀
I just wanted to give you an idea, Satin color that way you will be able to wash it and get all the dirt off Satin paint vs. a flat paint and you still can sand it down to make it look like old paint. Keep up the great work you're doing with the cars Dan . Dani I love your channel to keep up the great work. 👌😊👍💯🙏🏼🙏🏼
that blue 55 wagon looks pretty sweet dan.forgot all about that one.how about 57 harDD top for grafics.put the speed shop below with a snowflake below eh?just sayin.i can smell the rubber from a garage burnout all the way here in connecticut with that camero.should launch pretty good with that small block set up.whats next?dd speed shop car show in the springtime?say hi to dani
I always like when you and Dannie give us a tour... I feel you may have forgotten a couple though (good problem to have). I know you didn't off the 2 Lane car or the '47... The Opel may have gone away though, I know you were thinking about it for a while. Guess time will tell... Love that 56 wagon!!!!
Have your body supply shop tint some 2k primer to make the blue colour you want. It will be fairly flat but you can scotch brite it to flatten it more. Cheap and fast!
Dan/Danielle, any of your cars could be some bad ass giveaway vehicles!? Especially for the guy wanting a hot rod project thats already a driver. A few giveaway projects might gain you more budget for other projects and updates? Idk, i just like giving ideas.
Messaged you earlier Dan, 25x50 fenced rear yard and 200 sq ft with 18' ceilings and 14' overhead door on Portage Ave in Headingley available soon if you are looking.
Dan, you stole my dream.( let me explain) I was like 12, said I wanted a nova with a 454 , and a 4 sp, cause it was never done( back in 83-84) well fast foward all these yrs later, and POOF....you did exactly what I wanted. I love all the tri-5, but your nova will always have a spot in my heart.( oh and the cobra too) love your videos.
Worked on and had MANY cars back in the 70's-80's at the farm until the old man had enough of the junk lol. Had to get rid of alot of cars and parts worth BIG $ today. Miss having all the room to work on and store them.
john here my dad and I also have common cars. just got a 71 torino gt . so this is super close to home........Do power tour again we'll be closer to you this year! you can sign my so madd shirt
Nice collection. The Nomad were my favorite episodes. I love the idea of the original blue on the Camaro. If you don't want to mess with it now, just drive it like it is until you do.
I love to watch the both of you two work well together. I also like seeing your two conversions. I don't care what anybody thinks they are awesome and considering the average person probably couldn't afford a two door. One of my other favorite things is that you put them together to drive them. Keep up the great work
Ya know I just gotta say you have brought that damn thing so far back I really think it deserves to be one color at least primer of some color may red oxide or flat black or gray you know the primer colors
Sounds like you need to hit the camaro with gm 8555 black base coat. I've had great luck with using it as a cheap flat/satin on project cars. In the ppg shopline, it is cheap and resists fading and doesn't hold moisture like primer does.

Yeah alotbof metal has been welded over the years.
Just think of it this way Dan--you are the urban version of ColdWarMotors!😆
Urban hoarder haha
That 56 wagon is so sweet. Dan... finish!. don't go "SQUIRELL."
Haha it happens

The original blue is the way to go
There are several ways to enjoy old cars: working on them, driving them, or just having them. To quote another guy named Dan: "I don't judge."
The 56 Wagon deserves better.
I love that car.
For sale
@@DDSpeedShophow much for it ??
Very nice collection!! I'm green with envy... ^_^
You forgot the Opal! I’m proud of you young man! Stepping in for Mur!
Yeah I forgot a few haha
@@DDSpeedShopDan I think you forgot a couple or you sold some. The chevy II 47? Flat black chevy are some even I can remember.
Nice Collection and Tour Dan and Dani
I would like to see you do the Model A. Old school style with a DD speed shop twist.
YOU NEED 10 ACREAGES AND A HUGE BARN AND A MONSTER SHOP!!
I 2nd the motion, the motion carries. Newburn & Cotton can help with the design.
4acres and a shitty shop #keepitreal 😂 #ddspeedstyle
I manage
Had a nice pole barn and 4 acres. My business failed and I lost everything. Actually it’s not lost it’s still there I’m not allowed to use it!
Do you think he don't know that?
I agree about getting the Camano running and driving and driving the snot of it.
U forgot about Dani’s gasser nova! I love that thing. I vote to at least take your 71 Nova for a drive video. Big block !!
Yeah I forgot about a few
Put a 356 Coupé body on the Sebring chassis. They accept wheel well headers and glitter steering wheels.
MODEL. A is a must
I second that!!
That storage space of yours must be secure. If i was you i wouldn't be able to sleep having all that stuff outside lol
I try not to over think it.
Bring back the gray 55 for a straight axle and 6-71 blower swap 👌
Of all your rides the ‘71 Nova works for me, had a small block’69 and I loved it, here’s hoping we get to see back on the channel at some point.
The problem I have is I love both the nomads and the black one just looks ratty but it's not that is 1 solid hot rod you worked your ass off on that car and took it from being left for dead to bringing it back to life and it can live on and make plenty of memories
I’m surprised no one messes with the parts you leave in the unlocked cars! That stuff would be gone in a heartbeat here in the states.
DAN! I HOPE YOU WIPED THAT SNOW OFF THE FLOOR! Gonna start warming up soon and you said you put a new one in! Gonna rot on ya
What ever you decide I'm good with it love your Chanel
Always upgrade the fleet. Never cut the numbers.
U ain't wrong
Your a Canadian legend...LS That Tobbogon....😆⚡💥✨👍🏁
And you have the 37 Chevy, 55 Chevy 2 door and the Nova gasser. Way too many cars, it’s just silly, and yes I’m jealous!! 😂
Paint. You could do blue acrylic enamel and add flattening base to get desired finish. I am a painter.
Dan, Have you thought about wrapping the car? If you get tired of it you can peel it off and change it, or paint it.
Why wrap a car that has a bad paint job? It would be cheaper and faster for him to paint it
I love you both! You seem so kind and genuine. Dani is my favorite! She's sweet!
My husband and I love your show!
