Dan in January of 1970, just back from viet Nam I bought a 1969 rs ss big block camero for 3700 dollars ,I think it had 21000 miles on the clock, yours will be fantastic when you finish. .
nearly an hour of talking, heavy breathing, and no work on any cars! THIS is DD Speed Shop! But really, that Bricklin starting and driving was awesome!
You are successful m8. Your comments are full of folks you've impacted with your content. Your videos make a difference in people's lives, including my own. I appreciate ya Dan AND Dannie, and all the work yall put in this. Thank you 💛
I think instead of the trailer being the bad guy, it's really the snow and ice that's the real time bandit! I can't wait to see you guys pack up and head to Tennessee or Georgia for year round RUclips Garage life! Shoot, Mr. and Mrs. Mur are already snowbirding south for nearly half the year anyways. Truthfully, we'd love to have you and I really enjoy the channel and the great work you both do keeping these classics alive and on the road! Keep up the great work with the cars and the channels to you both!
Video was oddly satisfying. Dani is a card ! You need a tire sponsorship. Il, in, oh, with Ford trucks and never had traction problems like I'm seeing here. Even my friends Pantera in winter had better grip than the bricklins tires. Fantastic cold start on that !
I was not a big fan of the Brick-lend in the beginning however it did grow on me, but watching it fight for life to run in the dead of Manitoba winter..All i could think was, that thing wants to be a car again :) good content as always hope this message finds you well.
Dan I don’t understand why you don’t have a trailer 🤣🤣🤣. Keep up the good work buddy and keep saving them. I can’t believe that Brinkley started, awesome car. 👍😎✌️
I only have to watch you struggling with the ice and snow to remember why I don't want to live in the North. Too cold for this SE Texas boy. On another note, that tow truck is a life saver. Good video.
Your still one of my favorite channels Dan bud doesn’t matter how big your channel is I’m a car guy I’ll always support ya because I enjoy your videos I’ve learned a lot and got a few good laughs because I relate to some of the stuff that happens in the vids
Can't wait until to see the camaro when it is running and driving. You really put allot if work into it. I have been working on my 74 vega or 5 years complet tear down
Only problem with Murr being back is it will prolly be next winter before we get new Brick content, its just going to disappear into Murr's garage and we won't see it again ;-)
Kudos Dan! I had to play driveway Tetris this weekend and I was moving my Rambler with a plastic bumper car (no damage) and a seat cushion! Next time I'll call you!😆
Man that Camaro looks so good. When you opened the garage door and showed the Camaro in the garage it looks great. Keep up the great work on the cars and God Bless you to and your families.
Dan you are my favorite channel.... at least the one I watch first. That might be because I respect the fact that you are doing all of this while having a full time job. Your work ethic is pretty amazing. You put any of your haters to shame with the amount of work you get done.
Only thing more time consuming than building a car from scratch is moving the 4 other cars you own! I work out of my home garage too, it’s super convenient being able to walk out of the house and get to work but one day it’s going to be nice to have all of my stuff inside and room to move around.
Good stuff. Ya know, I walk in my garage and see a working shop of sorts, some things outta place, some junk… I go to my friends garage and you can eat off the floor as absolutely nothing is in it. Sometimes wish mine looked like that too. Oh well, I think I have more fun in mine and use it instead of pristine areas. Just thinking 🤔 Keep up the good work Dan! You’re a man of complication but having fun and making dollars in your garages!
Nice catch Dani, also a trailer might not be so convenient to move cars around. Those are some tight spaces to maneuver in and a trailer and truck might not fit.
Trailers are super handy, if you're like Mortske Repair and have a 100 acre estate to store them on. Your tow truck works damn well for your use and only takes up one parking spot, thats definitely a win.
Hey Dan. I know you have trials and tribulations with projects and potential customers. "Tri-5/ Camaro/etc. Concierge of classic".! You've got my vote.
About that Bricklin, maybe install a small extra electric Facet fuelpump in line with the mechanical pump? Should ensure fuel delivery even after standing for a longer time. About the compressor, it may be iced up internally. As for the side glass. You now have a template that you can copy and swap it for Lexan. It's lightweight and very strong. I think you can even bend it after heating it up with a hot (h)airblower. That way you could even copy the curvature.
As somebody who uses a trailer for everything, and has a winch that I run off of jumper cables to the trucks battery, I really want a tow setup like yours ALSO, not instead of a trailer. I'd still use the trailer far more often though. But moving around the yard or in and out of the garage this would be more handy
Maybe install a small wire pull on the bottom of the door on the Bricklin.. Just with a little loop so you can manually grab it with a hook inside the door jam if the door latch quits working...
Not sure if it would be any cheaper but my son bought a 1500 chevy from an old guy who pulled a 5th wheel trailer and he had installed an air bag load leveling kit to keep the truck from squatting too much so he could see over the hood and be able to steer whenever he towed a heavier vehicle on his trailer. He didnt want the heavier springs because he used the truck for other things too and didnt want to loose his ride quality. you might want to explore this as well.
Dan, big news! The Bricklin? Nahh... I Christened thee The Danilin!!! Forevermore, until the end, The Danilin! 🤟 Rock on! I love you both. You guys are the greatest ever! ❤❤ The Danmaro and The Danilin!! Classic!
What I do for backing up trailers. 1) put hand on bottom of steering wheel 2) start turning in the direction you want the the trailer to go 3) trailer right - hand on bottom of wheel moves to the right in effect turning the steering wheel left. Works for my simple brain.
You Canadian people are incredibly hardy, to put up with those winters. I just cannot imagine. Ice is the bane of existance, and y'all get months and months of it. Then you got the D&D automotive Chinese Fire Drill, a entire episode! Now having owned a few shops myself, I'd love to see: D&D in a milder climate, (you'll really feel it with age!) one large 2-4000 foot shop with heated floor, 1/4 ac outside, if not paved, at least crush and run storage lot, rural unrestricted location of course, remember no neighbors are good neighbors, last house on a dead end road. No such thing in Canada, eh? Well we'd love having y'all as neighbors! Now admittedly, we'd miss a schmoo episode like this, but ya got enough to try your patience already. Just imagine, a day working, instead of Chinese Fire Drill. You're right about the sling trucks, cold and wet really sucked, but that's all we had back when I towed. IF lightning would strike, I got a windfall, I'd back you guys, if you were into it. Never seen a harder working more devoted couple than y'all! You rock!
Just a quick one from the uk your suffering has inspired me to get my first gen rx7 back on the rd I’d love a hot rod but the closest I have come is my Chevy Astro van ( which is also off the rd at the moment but that’s future me project) thanks for all the suffering I’m welding in my single garage 😂
Murr arriving back home, yes a Bricklin!Dan's mom seeing a old car with no hood or door, you call Dan and tell him to get that out of my driveway before the neighbors complain!haha
Good morning from Cape Cod 🦈 the name of the game, shuffling s***😎 no I'm still not a fan of the Brickland but it did start and pull out of its frozen slumber. All right you got one Ford off the property, now get rid of that pickup 😂 I had a couple of Ford pickup trucks and they just have their own set of problems. Keep up the good work guys 👍✌️🇺🇲
Enjoy the warmer weather while we have it- you know wpg, one week warm, one week cold repeat repeat…my old 1210 froze solid couldn’t even unlock the doors. That’s just how she goes though.
Sounds like the channel is getting renamed to Danny's Dilemma Garage lol.. I suggest just moving all the inventory to Schmooeyville for the time being and clickin' yur' boots 3 x's while sprinklin' some man glitter (Camaro dust)😂👏🏻😂👏🏻.. today's episode just reminded me HOW GREAT A DAY MINE WAS TODAY!! YOU GUYS ARE GREAT AND LOVE THE CHANNEL 🇨🇦💪🏻🇺🇸💪🏻🇨🇦🇺🇸✌🏻
Commenting while watching so don’t know yet if you’ve looked at the starter in the dent yet but they are kinda known for working the bolts loose and not contacting the flywheel/flexplate hope that’s all it is
I am so glad that he isn't selling the Camaro. Because I was really bummed out cause I've been washing it since he got it and he's done a massive nephew, said job on the body work and just wanted to see and get done. Thank you for telling me that it was a joke I appreciate it
I'm still wondering why you didn't rework the ceiling in the new shop so that you raised the rafters to allow for a lift. Increasing the roof peak, similar to the old style barn roofs were built would allow you to install a lift I believe so that the average car would fit . Because the roofs would fit into the area that has less pitch than the areas on each side that have a steeper pitch to allow it to set on existing wall plates. Also would allow for the snow and ice to slide off each side better than existing roofline does. Then you could have used vinyl covered bats if insulation that's white to reflect the lighting better from different angles. Just thinking out loud is all, because I know how badly working off the floor under vehicles supported by jacks and jack stands is especially when you are bigger than average person
Dan and Derek, both building old, white, Ford pickups , at the same time. 😳 Twinning !!
@@weshenry9592 Cool.
I stopped watching Dereck a while ago
Who TF is Derek?
I watch for Derek not his children.
Are you guys talking about vgg?

When you finally figure out how to use that lift, that truck is gonna be awesome!
One of these days I'll figure it out.
nearly an hour of talking, heavy breathing, and no work on any cars!
THIS is DD Speed Shop!
But really, that Bricklin starting and driving was awesome!
It’s all part of the process …
I spend a lot of time scratching my head.

Ice: the bane of a Canadian winter. Lots of memories trying to remove a frozen tarp without tearing it into pieces
Dani: "It's a camera, watching a camera, watching a truck, tow another truck." lol!
She's pretty simple...
That key toss and catch was clean. 😮
ya that was awesome ..
Derek & Mortske are so jealous right now.
Of course they don't know the true joy of a Canadian prairie winter. :)
I'm sure they're jelous.... haha
The joy of having a cornbinder frozen solid so you gotta take the week off work😅
down here on the Texas Gulf Coast, it got so cold this year I had to break out the fleece cargo shorts.@@DDSpeedShop

That was a great investment to add to your truck. I love it and I don't even get to use it
Keep on towing.
I am very familiar with the changing a starter in a snow bank scenario. Have fun!
It sucks been there to
It's a good thing that you don't have a trailer. Every time backing up, it would be jackknifed. lol
Watching a camera watching another camera, in a truck towing another truck kinda blew my mind NGL thanks for another great video
Thank you very much Dan. After a crappy Tuesday at work this is just what I needed.

Nice Cold Start Dan and Great Trailer work Dani you look like the Easter Bunny 🐰
ZT & BP, ZT & BP! If you know you know! Lol, I'd figure I'd put that out there for the cold start of the Bricklyn! Thanks as always for another vid!

Dan is getting a taste of what owning a Ford is like, just hoping you can push it. ;)
Dan is an underrated comic...his lil shnide comments are comedy gold...

That front bumper extension reminds me of "Kit". Knight Rider.
The wheel lift is awesome, works almost as good as a trailer.
Gotta love the bricklen, made for the cold 🇨🇦
Glad to see you using your, "trailer"! Finally! 🤣🤣🤣
You could do that way easier with Supermans powers.
Wow you covered the bricklan
It's a super car!
you are a good man dan your interaction with Daniel is so important in a relationship ❤️

Love it, super busy day moving cars successfully as well. How about that eh? COOL
Musical Cars watched from my backyard in Santan Arizona 🌴🌴thinking looks cold but you got this Dan 👍
Schmoo missed her calling. She should have been a baseball star.
Not Dan the Repoman but i will say this is cool way to get your cars moved , will need to work on the speed Dan the Repoman !

Dan always trolling the good folks who leave helpful comments.
Keep up the good work anyway I do enjoy your channel
The Towing rig is sweet a couple hundred pounds underneath the front bumper will help not have to worry about Towing the pickups as much
New Game ... Take a drink every time Dan says TRAILER! lol.

The DD Speed Shop shuffle. 👍
Danni's outfit looks like the one from ralphs little brother in christmas story!
A trailer with a winch is handy but then you have 4 tires to replace when they dry rot and you need a place to park it out of the way.
I'm shocked that you don't have air lines plumbed between the 2 shops.
Why is this entertaining?
People like to watch me struggle

FYI IF YOU HAVE NOT CHANGED HYD FLUID IN TOW LIFT TRY USING AIRCRAFT GRADE WORKS BETTER IN COLD.
Just saying
I can tell by the idle the truck is in reverse well and the reverse lights 😂
It's fiiiine
You gotta secure those cars down to the pickup bar Dan.
Don't listen to those morons telling you to get a uhaul or a trailer. The answer is simple. You need a uhaul trailer.
