Tune in next week, when LSV figures out how to play vintage cube by himself.
Solitaire is actually a very fun format if you're good at it and have vintage cards!!
Who are we kidding, we'd all still turn up and watch.
@@kithkindeck LSVprobably: So I'm going to hate draft this brain freeze from myself cause this is a -1Sum game and I know I love that combo so im not guna let me have it!
@@casparash5370 Peak cube content.
@kithkindeck
You know damn well we all would. And then half of us would proceed to spend the rest of the afternoon playing solitaire cube ourselves.
Love seeing variations like this and the 10-player draft! Hoping we get a 1v1 against BK or Cheon for some quality smack talk.
Agreed, I hope we see minesweeper draft at some point as that’s been my favorite alternate draft format and works well with less people.
HAUMPH Winston grudge match would be excellent
For anyone interested, there is some basic theory that applies to Winston drafts. The net result is pass on the 1st pile more often than you think. Consider the following simplified list of steps
1. Look at, but don't take the first pile,
2. If the second pile is better than the first, take it,
3. Otherwise, take the 3rd pile.
Obviously, it's not a complete system. Sometimes, the first pile is just too good, or the 3rd pile sucks worse than a random card. But acting on those steps will yield good results in the long run.
The Hydra at the end 😂😂. I'm a Winston first timer and would def be down to seeing it 1x a week or so. That was a lot of fun.
Ahhh the old tap every land after your draw step to give your opp a heart attack and then concede 😂😂
The sweat is real 🤣
I used to Winston draft all the time with my brother growing up. This brings back those memories
Deckbuilding is my favorite part of of Magic, which is why I love vintage cube so much. Winston just cranks that up to 11 so keep them coming!
Super fun to watch these Winston drafts, love how quick they are too. Makes me want to play some more Winston draft myself, I haven't done one in a while and they're really a blast.
I much prefer these types of slightly slower, more grindy, games compared to the base cube where most games are decided by turn 3-4, feels like.
I love both!
You gotta do more of these. The draft portion is always the most fun, and this gave us a 3 pack of drafts to enjoy - and the games are interesting seeing some cards that don't see as much usage in the normal cube. I love value grinds so this hits on all cylinders.
I absolutely love Winston. Being able to play a fun and competitive format when you just have yourself, one other person, and some unopened packs is the best.
Please more of this! This is good for us who own physical cubes but can't often get 5-7 friends to come over. I'm going to try this out in real life!
This was super cool, id love to see more of these scattered in
I've loved Winston drafts for years! Always happy to see more of that!
100 player cube royale next?
The LSV extended special with anyone in the discord that can sign up
Really like the format. Hope to see more of it :)
Us taking the first piles we see almost every time while mack passing consistently and ending up with sol rings and ancestrals and palace jailers seems to indicate patience is a virtue in winston ?
could be, or could be that mack is the luckiest player to ever live
There could be some merit to this idea. Mack saw a higher percentage of the pool.
My first instinct is that LSV was mostly just asking "is this playable in my deck", while the competitive question is something like "what's the marginal power level of these cards for my deck vs his compared to a random card". Optimal drafting in this format feels tricky.
This seems kind of rotty
I think going deep is very strong, because on top of seeing more, your opponent can't take all the cards you revealed so you can take the pile they didn't take and catch up in terms of volume of cards
Happy to see more. Especially if you continue to explain the strategies, intricacies, meta, etc. It's also nice to see several decks in quick succession. Regular cube is still top dog, but this is a nice diversion.
Love playing Winston drafts with my friends, and thoroughly enjoyed your take on it. Thank you!
Love the content overall, and it was great to watch a different draft format as well! Keep it coming :)
Absolutely loved this lsv! Keep them coming❤
This was fun to watch! Would be happy to see more.
Winston!!! Man I loved this format, great to see it again!
Really enjoyed this. Happy to see more Winston drafts
I didn't think Winston draft was going to be as engaging as it was. Really enjoyed!
I definitely enjoy this as a fun way to mix things up! It's nice seeing some underpowered formats to aee different cards shine a bit more as well.
I love Winston Draft, and would love to see more! I've got a few friends to play it from my cube, and it's always a nice shake up for the 1v1.
I liked this format, interesting decisions during the draft and some unusual builds given the pile you ended up with. Nice change of pace from the traditional formats.
Love seeing Winston draft! I hope to see more of these please
Yes, definitely more Winston please!! It's nice to see different cube formats for variety. Speaking of which.... I'd love to see a rotisserie (team?) draft
Oh, yes! Finally! Keep 'em coming, LSV. Enthusiastic winston-drafter here.
This was insanely hilarious and awesome to watch. I Winston with my little brother frequently, and it is so cool to see a pro do it. I'd watch more of these for sure!! Genius or grifter - I don't tell my little brother that the Winston strategy guide is on LSV's RUclips channel right now... Lol
I want to see a lot more Winston drafts or other ways to change up the standard cube draft. This was super fun. You vs BK while on call together could make for a fun Winston draft. Some stipulation cube drafts could be fun as well.
This is sick. Would love to see more. I wonder, since the draft was so fast, is it worth drafting more packs worth of cards so that the decks can be a bit more focused?
best games on the LSV channel in a hot minute, winston seems awesome
LOVED this! Would love to see more Winstons. So much fun
I really liked seeing Winston. Was a nice change of pace. Will definitely tune in for some more!
I had an absolute blast!! Please do more Winston drafts!!
This is actually my favorite draft format, would love more!
I like the variations on the regular cube format--Winston, 10 player draft etc. helps keep it fresh.
A weekly Winston draft would be great, this was a lot of fun to watch!
This was great to watch, love the Winston, first time seeing it. Once a week Winston sound good!
I love this. The decks remind me of the decks my brother and I would build in the 00's.
This was actually fantastic! Really interesting and fun. Please more of these!
Thanks for showing off the winston cube! My partner and I are gonna try it soon.
Not often a commenter, but definitely wanted to support the idea of more Winston. This is amazing.
I love the vibe drafts, but a little variation from time to time is great. This is certainly something I'd like to see maybe one a week or so. Winston Wednesdays perhaps?
Cube*
I love you LSV and I love your cube drafts, but I don't personally love this format.
Still watching it obviously.
My greedy self has always wanted to see like a 10 man with regular packs using the whole cube or even doubling the power, I love these variations. Thank you for the post.
Really cool. I don't know if it's possible in a reasonable way, but if you played with BK or something being able to see some banter during side boarding would be pretty fun. :)
Would love to see more of this!
This format is excellent viewing! I hope to see more and with different iterations of the cube.
I actually have been looking at creating my own cube specifically for Winston draft, so im very excited to watch this 😅
Would love to see more Winston! Its a nice change of pace and the action in great! 😊😊
Loved it! Would like to see more. Would like to see Winston tips/tricks video but also how much would it cost to buy into MTGO to get in on this action?
This was great! Nice change of pace
Loved this one! Really enjoyed the one vs one.
Thank you for making the few hours i have before work worth it. Always love the videos
Would love to see more Winston. Really fun and interactive games.
I enjoyed it. It'd hard to follow the draft which is my favorite part, but nothing wrong with yhe occasional change up. I'm sure I'll figure out the draft eventually.
I used to Winston Draft with friends all the time, it's such a unique way to play. Never tried it with Cube but I feel like there's a real space for a curated Winton format.
This is awesome. Getting to see someone playing Winston is so cool. Definitely wanna see you play cheon and bk like this
We enjoyed you enjoying the Winston. More Winston.
More please with comentary on meta/strategy!
I love it ❤️ because this is great to see unused carda shine ❤️
I enjoyed this. I would like to see more of it!!
i want exactly five times more winston draft content than is currently on the channel
that was pretty cool! id love more like this :)
was very cool. would love to see more
"If I draw Grim Monolith here it's great"
>immediately mill grim monolith off the top
Would love to see this if you had a friend like BK or someone comfortable talking with you while playing or maybe going over eachothers decks and descions after the games.
@LSVargas Is it possible for us to get the list you used here to give this a try?
That last game was a nailbiter!
When will we degenerate enough for Rochester draft?
Please try Housmon draft for your next 1v1, I feel it is superior to Winston as the picks are less luck based and way more interactive, since you need to pay attention to your opponent's picks as well.
That cursed scroll race at the very end had me on the edge of my seat
Would be amazing to have both POVs for these if you can find a second who wants to record and make content out of it.
22:38 Rare footage of LSV getting a life
Dark ritual Hydra at the end was fun haha
This was a ton of fun!
Gotta love the tap all lands then concede to keep you on your toes.
cool format! mana is tough seeing so few cards. maybe the pool should double up on duals and fetches
This format is a blast!
Would this cube work well in a normal draft setting or would some strategies be too much better than others due to certain combos and specific synergy cards being taken out?
I've had fun playing 2 player cube with 12-13 packs of 15, bin the last 11. Definitely takes much longer though!
I enjoyed this and wouldn't mind seeing it a bit more often, but not more than maybe once a week.
great video, would lvoe thse mixed in or as an extra? :D video once a week. (or more if you want ofc)
I didn’t know you can Winston on here. It’s how I cube most of the time. We typically do best out of 5
More of these! Was fun for sure :)
Loved the Winston draft today!
Could be fun to see a 2 headed giant draft at some point
This was awesome! Would love to watch some Rochester too if Draftmancer supports it.
This format is so good ! See different decks is nice !
Luis, what in God's name has happened to you? What is that Dark Ritual artwork?!
that was fun, would be good to see it mixed now and then.
I liked the Winston. Maybe an opportunity to have both people / perspectives.
Feels like legacy cube. I don't think the power adds much except variance. I'd say pull the power and just go legacy. Otherwise, it's a really cool format and I'd love to see more!
uh, channeling and targetting Palace Jailer does not constitute a misclick lol. That would be a misplay 😂 You're too kind.
Was fun!
love the mixup - winston is a fun one to watch
