The reason why you don't get the mana when you kill the sticker goblin in response to the trigger is because you can only put stickers on cards when they're on the battlefield, so you can't put the sticker into play, so you can't count the letters and make the mana. The MTGO version does not have the same built-in constraint, but that's an added rule because the card is designed to mimic the sticker goblin as closely as possible.
Can you explain the part on name sticker where it talks about having 9 or less copies of the card on the battlefield?

Do you know why the Namesticker only generate mana if cast from hand? the paper version seems to work if you reanimate or cast it from exile.

I tune into this channel, not because I Vintage Cube draft, but because seeing the most prolific MtG player, who has played a million games, giggle and squirm like a little kid whilst the draft progresses, warms my cold dead heart

@@victorm.3279 I think there's better cubes for friend groups, but this is definitely an easy staple.
I mean, you play magic to cast dragons. Big red is the most intuitively fun deck possible, and seeing it validated by the best player possible is really cathartic
1:01:14 I think Tom took the Displacer kitten second pick. Maybe he got the mix pearl first pick which slightly nudged him towards it. Then third pick teferi since he had pearl and kitten. It’s actually a great start.

The card in the current cube is named Emberwilde Captain. Emberwilde Caliph is a weird old card from Mirage that almost no one would remember, but for some reason LSV has been consistently using that name instead of Captain. It is even funnier because he has done it for two consecutive videos and even made a “Wiz Khalifa” pun based on the wrong name.

I was looking at the time left in the video during the round 3, game 3 Bitter Triumph slowroll, thinking, "there's no WAY this game goes another 15 minutes."
From P1P1, you assert that Tom will most likely take Necromancy. This feels a bit too presumptive. There are plenty of first-picks Tom could have taken that would make him likely to choose something else. Lurrus, Minsc & Boo, Oko, Tolarian Academy, big/little Teferi, Forth Eorlingas, Fastbond, Solitude, to name a few.

why is a 1 mana cantrip so good?
Makes your deck more consistent, same colour as the mox, blue is the same colour as all the most busted cards in the cube anyways. Also cheap card Draw can help you find your busted cards quicker.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I really hope we get treated to some thunder junction. Not that I'm unhappy with vintage, but cake nearly every day starts to get old after........ crap, 10 months?! We've had a video a day for almost a year?! forget what I was talking about, way to go Luis!!
Don't know why i can't improve video quality on some of your videos, but it makes them unwatchable.
