Very well done. I like the emphasis on buffs that increase usability at all levels of play, allowing for greater reward for a little skill investment, without simply beefing them up in mindless ways, like Fromsoft have done with several AoWs in 1.13. That being said, the first input of the slow version of Double Slash is actually quite good on medium weapons. It tends to frame-trap and rollcatch with scary reliability. I would simply decrease the startup and recovery of the follow-up, while increasing its turning speed. Also, I would suggest giving Repeating Thrust better tracking on the initial turn, a bit of active tracking or free-aim freedom throughout the duration of the animation, and >133 poise damage on each hit with DL8 hitstun.
I think most stance ashes could use slight buffs to the startup speed and reduced endlag on the attacks. The sole exception would be transient moonlight. That skill specifically needs more recovery frames and increased delay on cancel recovery so it's more easily punished with how quick and powerful it still is even after the nerfs.
@@ALUCARDTWILLIGHT I'd say that's fair. Unsheathe is also in a pretty good spot, it just doesn't have the range and potential damage like transient moonlight does.
@@Lost1ntheSauc3 Wing stance R1 could use a bit of forward momentum, but beyond that its also in a good spot damage-wise. THAT would be peak.

Honestly I feel like vertical hits like Stamp Upper Cut and Lion's Claw shouldn't get this much tracking. The idea being that horizontal sweeps are the ones that you should be using to counter opponents' strafing instead, while the vertical hits counter jumping and deal more damage. Obviously it's not one extreme or the other but not all attacks should excel at the same aspects imo. For Lion's Claw in particular I think its use should be for medium range to begin with and for it to retain such bad tracking for very close range like the clip you showed, while getting other benefits to compensate for that and keep its identity imho.
I just happened on his channel today and when he brought up the Stamp ashes I was hammering the Like and Sub button! I had played Dark Souls 3 with Lothric Knight UGS mostly, so I was used to that. Fast forward to ER I was using the flashy AOW's most people use. Then in the DLC that Frost Lion Warrior near the end of the game I was trying to find a way to consistently beat him, and good ole' Stamp: Upward Cut did it for me. I sure wouldn't mind the upgrades StrugglerVA did! (my biggest gripe is the tracking is kinda hard......and Sweep needs an even larger upgrade I think)
Should have made ground slam damage scale with equip load and height used from. Being overloaded and using it off a ledge to 1 shot with would be a great meme build
Amazing video! What are you planning next?! There is a lot of useless magic in this game, do you have any idea for those? If you have, could you do any video on those? Also, maybe you could show this one to Jeenine and see if he can also add those changes in the video he is making to send to Fromsoft/Bandai.
@@CheeseInvader magic is super tricky, a lot of spells share the same animation so buffing the turning or animation speed could change more than i would intend. For instance, i would love to make rock sling a little faster but it shares the same animations as a lot of sorceries such as comet which i would definitely not want to make faster. I would have to tinker with the software im using but if i were just a bit more knowledgeable on it, im sure it would be possible
@@StrugglerVA Interesting, it does sounds tricky. Well, let's just hope that at least this video reaches fromsoft before the support for ER ends. I would love to see those ashes getting some love.
I have a question. if I use the ash of war that has hyper armor(such as storm blade) with an weapon that has hyper armor such as great sword(two-handed), then the ash of war is less canceled by attacks of the enemy than when using the same ash with a weapon that has no hyper armor such as katana?
Bro is a legend for this. I've been wondering about the issue with bows and crossbows right now. I wonder what your stance is on magic, sacred, etc.(status Affinities exempt) for bows and crossbows. I've been wishing for magic archer builds since release. I would like to use bows other than ansbac's and the black bow.
The poise on that lifesteal fist doesn't sound as terrifying as it could be. I'll accept that idea. Another idea is to make it a poiseless lunge with little startup. Like a fast punish for people blocking. Use the netcode to "poise" into poised fighters. Again, I prefer your idea. If the fists got a lunge like that then honestly the Blessed Strike deserves one too.

On the topic of Asses of War, I'd wish From would buff Godfrey's Regal Roar. It's so slow and pretty much punishable and easily jumped through. But the charges later on after the ash is applied are good and fast, it's even buffed more with the newly added Shattered Stone talisman which buffs stomp/kick related abilities, the charge's start up is a heavy stomp.
I like the concept but the buffs are definitely overturned compared what we actually have in the game. I would definitely download the pack for offline pve!
Great video! What program did you use to modify the game? I really want to know how to do that to make lil testing mods and such. If you could point me in the direction to learn how to do that I would be so thankful.
I feel like most of the grab attacks (inescapable frenzy, lifesteal fist, etc.) should be getting similar treatments to something like Golden Crux in that they should be getting rushdown in some manner. GC is better for invasions when players are gonna be trying to dodge both you AND the mobs in a given dungeon, but you simply don't have that element of chaos in duels where there's nothing to distract you. Grabs force you to directly respect their space in other games, but you don't have to do that with Elden Ring. I wanna play a proper grappler in this game, damn it!
@@My2Cents.iF7934 golden crux does WAY too much damage for how insanely fast and long range it is. Plus, it gets 500 poise instead of 120, which is also cracked as hell. Its just all over the place in my opinion.

I would say that I'm not sure on all of these, many are quite good in open world pve. A lot of this could be explored by specifying which changes are pvp exclusive. - charge forth dealing good damage, confirming environmental kills, and perma-stunlocking knight enemies. - Spinning strikes DOSE need help, but the hyper armor just makes it seem too similar to wild strikes, perhaps limiting it to increasing starting poise on start up or start up speed while the swings get the poise damage needed to stagger people trying to close. - Lions claw is fine, not pvp focused but it has perfect hyper armor and INSANE poise damage and just.... Damage.... It's not aggressive pvp tool but if you get the drop on someone it can nearly one shot people. - Trolls roar, tbh poise damage for pve is my biggest complaint about it in pvp, otherwise you're changes are fine.
would disagree for the lion's tracking allowing u to change direction mid air, other than that, i'd appreciate having them ig :( another thing that could use your help is the R2+R2 after using war cry.. these are almost impossible to use on pvp, but they do shred on PVE, i used it for all the main game, but in the dlc it became unusable since punish windows on bosses are super short ... haaa.. it felt so good to run toward an ennemy with my berserk GS doing sparkles on the ground, and the shoulder hitting the ennemy multiple time, and stunning them t_t ... unfortunately, i tried something funny with a bleed build and tried that marais guy armor that deals bleed damage when you roll onto ennemy thinking the shoulder hit would also get some bleed build up on the charge but it didn't :'( to give u guys an idea of the damage this ash allowed me to do, like other build video, at level 150 with a mixed build not even around 55 str, one R2 could one shot the omen guy in leyndell sewer XD overpowered asf

Can you even put anything on the greatsword or great stars besides lions claw? I think its literally impossible. I'm sorry, you can put wild strikes on great stars too. Charge forth Strugglerman
Would love a stamp buff. Nice vid
@@GrimVenture we could only hope
Your adjusted Lion's looks jank. Maybe a stagger hitbox on the body during the flip could be better?
I am a spinning strikes main. I cry every night.

I would love to see those ashes getting some love.
i appreciate fire emblem ost and sound effects
Yeah those all sound really good. Really happy with square off getting the love it deserves.
So where do we download these to play with?
7:48 And you can even parry the 2nd hit out of hitstun after the first.
I have a question. if I use the ash of war that has hyper armor(such as storm blade) with an weapon that has hyper armor such as great sword(two-handed), then the ash of war is less canceled by attacks of the enemy than when using the same ash with a weapon that has no hyper armor such as katana?
I'm sending it to FS, so that they can gloriously ignore those issues whatsoever.
15:10 You are aware that it's usable even on a Pike right?
The poise on that lifesteal fist doesn't sound as terrifying as it could be. I'll accept that idea. Another idea is to make it a poiseless lunge with little startup. Like a fast punish for people blocking. Use the netcode to "poise" into poised fighters.
Again, I prefer your idea. If the fists got a lunge like that then honestly the Blessed Strike deserves one too.
Would it be possible to get hornet ring animations in Elden ring? Either with a talisman or on an attack?
@@Thereisnogreatersword most likely yes, however that is far beyond my knowledge of modding at the current moment. The dagger talisman having unchanged crit animations was something that always really pissed me off in elden ring
Havent watched yet but i forsee stamp buff
Id also recommend having s japanese subtitles added. Maybe send this to one of the bigger content creators and have their viewers spam bandai with this video

@@darcyscout i only used dsanimstudio, i linked the software in the description
it's a very good video. it's possible to revert psgs changes and how? jumping attack got 17% damage nerf 😢
I can say they same thing about MANY spells
Its just all over the place in my opinion.
that ash should not do same damage as riposte with misericode....
They should be like the iron cleaver's R2 on a smaller range. Otherwise their short ass range and slow speed makes it impossible to threaten anything.

Kick is fine given that every build gets it automatically. Agree with the rest.
1:50 OK. Wild Strikes and Lion's Claw are actually broken af in PvE, the rest are mid even there (sorry square off fans).
would disagree for the lion's tracking allowing u to change direction mid air, other than that, i'd appreciate having them ig :(
another thing that could use your help is the R2+R2 after using war cry.. these are almost impossible to use on pvp, but they do shred on PVE, i used it for all the main game, but in the dlc it became unusable since punish windows on bosses are super short ... haaa.. it felt so good to run toward an ennemy with my berserk GS doing sparkles on the ground, and the shoulder hitting the ennemy multiple time, and stunning them t_t ...
unfortunately, i tried something funny with a bleed build and tried that marais guy armor that deals bleed damage when you roll onto ennemy thinking the shoulder hit would also get some bleed build up on the charge but it didn't :'(
to give u guys an idea of the damage this ash allowed me to do, like other build video, at level 150 with a mixed build not even around 55 str, one R2 could one shot the omen guy in leyndell sewer XD overpowered asf
@@mathieu499 yeah r2 + r2 on both war cry and barbaric road are super buns, even with the true combo. The tracking is incredible jank on war cry and the barbaric roar r2 is actually punishable on hit

Are these for pvp? Or pve or both? Asking because since when in PvE are Lions claw, wild strikes, spinning strikes, square off and I'm sorry... double slash (the bloodflame nagakiba monster) are forgotten? Can you even put anything on the greatsword or great stars besides lions claw? I think its literally impossible. I'm sorry, you can put wild strikes on great stars too. Or rusted anchor, Great katana any hammer claw and just slowly walk forward and win. Square off is a stance breaking machine and slaps on a dual straight sword build. Try spinning strikes on grave scythe, naginata or any other polearm and tell me it's not good.
And double slash.... Double slash is disgusting how strong it can be on katana, great katana or even Claymore.
I can agree with others you mentioned, but those 5 AoW are already amazing and anyone who knows anything about ER knows that.
You should see about getting this translated to japanese
