Thanks, Marieke! I loved this episode! This was the most intense episode so far. Spoilers . . . . . . . . . . What a heartbreaking execution! The victim grew on me A LOT these past couple of episodes, really sad to see them go... As far as who I suspect the Mole is, now it's Thomas and Immanuelle. They did a lot this episode, and they set the tone for the auction. Immanuelle in particular, considering she really only bid in the first auction, as well as her initial bid lowering the average.
To keep it spoiler free, poor person who went home. I really enjoyed them! If they ever do a mole all stars, bring them back. They deserve another go around, especially after the tearful ending.
Thank you Marieke for your amazing work! SPOILERS * * * * I've been suspecting Immanuelle as the mole lately. She's trying hard (her 007-style run during the fairground challenge is one of my favourite moments of this series so far lol) but I think she could be using it as a mask to hide her mole-actions... plus 2 of the 3 people who made an alliance with her have been eliminated! I could be completely off the mark but she's a definite suspect for me for now.
Spoiler During the auction it became very clear for me. The way they showed it, was that for each joker they focussed on how one person supposedly was bidding a lot. But guess what, for the bid to go up, you're never bidding alone. There has to be someone bidding against you. And guess who did that most often but was never mentioned as bidding insanely? Thomas is the mole.
Marieke thank you very much! :) . . . Frankly speaking I'm confused. For the first three epsiodes I thought that the mole is one of Diederik, Thomas or Imanuelle. After this episode I don't know. Jochem looks really suspicious. He would be very agressive mole. And the fact that Jeroen became a treasurer just before the bidding is very odd. So basiclly everyone is suspicious despite Sanne ;)
SPOILERS (maybe?) . . . . I think Diederik is not the mole, when he bid so high on the joker his face was red and he seemed to feel bad about it. A mole shouldn't feel guilty taking that much money from the pot.
Spoilers . . . . . I know a lot of people suspected the latest victim, so that's sure to make people annoyed. My main suspect is still Jochem. I started suspecting him more last episode, when there were tons of clues (the books, the lies, etc.). Then in this episode, he bid on two jokers and spent the most money, and then he screwed over Sigrid and basically gave a "that's the worst part of my job" speech afterwards. I won't say with 100% certainty that he's the Mole, but he's currently my top choice.
Spoiler . . . . . . . Geez man, if I were in this group I would've flipped out after the auction. You're going to throw half the pot away for a single joker? One right answer out of a 20 question test? Can't wait to see how this ends - "Congratulations, you won The Mole! Here's your pot - a whopping €20!
Hello everyone!!! First of all, many thanks to Marieke for the subtitles!! Now that we are 4 episodes in, and I have had time to watch my suspects in action, I am ready to join the conversation. SPOiLERS******************* From the very beginning, my top 2 suspects have been Sanne and Jochem, with Sigrid as a distant 3rd. After this episode, I think that Jochem is definitely the one who is doing the most sabotage, but I think that Sanne is the mole. There is just something a little off about her, and she seems to have a little too much information about some of the assignments. Also, the most recent episode title seems to point to her. In episode 1, the best place for the mole to be is in one of the groups looking for the envelopes. Sanne does her best to lead Diederich and Immanuelle away from the Thai food cart. Then, when it becomes clear that Immanuelle is going to insist on going to the cart, Sanne makes sure to run ahead and grab the envelope herself. Then, Sanne knows that the other envelope was in the umbrella man's hand, even though she didn't see it. In episode 2, Sanne convinces Sigrid to cheat and hand in the original copy of the typewriter paper. Later that day, she makes the comment "I don't like it when contestants are separated from the group, because we don't know what they are doing, and whether they will tell the truth when they come back." This is EXACTLY what their next assignment is about. In the courthouse, she immediately votes for Jeroen as the liar, even though his story is arguably the most believable. In episode 3, she distracts everyone with pointless questions during the relay race. Then, during the car challenge, she is in the car with the beginning part of the directions (which she somehow knows?) and she manages to get her car separated from the group. She is also the one that convinces everyone to go to the church at the end. She (reluctantly) earned small amounts of money during the fair and rodeo assignments, but then she loses all of that money at the auction. One very interesting thing I noticed was that after the auction, Sanne explains that she thought that she could personally spend $1500 for free, and this was why she bid $2000, because then only $500 would be lost from the pot. Why did she think she had $1500 when the group had been told $1300? They didn't know that the extra $200 had been insured yet. I think maybe that is what the episode's title (more than normal) refers to. I also love the answer Sanne gave when Jeroen asked her if she was the mole "of course I'm going to say no no matter what" lol. So those are my thoughts. I haven't guessed the mole correctly since 2013 though, so who knows:) ****************************Anyway, I am really enjoying this season so far. And it's kind of neat that they are in the United States this season (I'm American; I live on the East coast though, so I haven't been to any of the locations). Can't wait until episode 5!
Actually that's a pretty convincing Sanne case. I still think it's more likely to be Immanuelle, and Jochem has been on my suspect list for the past few episodes now, but it's more evidence against Sanne that I've come up with. Hmmmm...
Spoiler . . . . . . I'm almost certain it's Jochem. He's involved in nearly every failing of an objective so far and quite clearly so. I'm going all in on Jochem now.
I'm going for Immanuelle... she's been very sneaky... her actions arent drawing much attention and she's trying hard as well which would make her a great mole
646guy Her behavior is very suspicious indeed, and she's very hard to read which would be a great quality for a mole. However, when I look at every challenge separately and look at every candidate's input individually, Jochem by far makes them lose the most money and in the most clumsy ways. I guess all we can do is wait. :)
646guy He so obviously messes things up sometimes that you don't suspect him. So if that's a tactic it's working... haha I've been on Jochem for a while now and paying close attention to his actions. I must say I'm pretty sure but I can't wait until next week. I was quite disappointed that Sigrid left because she seemed so into this game. I do like this group as a whole though.
Spoilers * * * * * * Maan i liked Sigrid so much i was really rooting for her. It's so sad that she had to go when she was the least crazy during the bidding and really tried her best. It's a shame that what Jochem did caused her to be completely clueless and suspect the wrong person.
Spoilers: Title is "more then usual"... Jochem just overbid himself at the auction. HHmmm Ima and Jochem are my main suspect but i keep a eye on Jeroen aswell

Thanks Marieke! Erm... spoilers ahoy (everyone's doing it now!) * * * * * * EDITED 'cause this came across as a bit bitchy. Yeah, I hated the auction challenge, and wasn't a fan of the rest of the episode either. On the positive side, this one had some great visuals and music. But here is not the place to vent my frustrations with the rest of the episode. The ending was really emotional, even though I pretty much saw it coming. Despite suspecting her early on, I was pretty sure Sigrid wasn't the Mole after last episode and her behavior this episode. Immanuelle's the Mole, and if she's not then it's Jochem or (new suspect for me) Thomas - since taking a helicopter trip early on, he's looked a lot more suspicious, with multiple challenge failures. But Immanuelle looks the most suspicious to me right now. She's won money in a couple of spots, mostly in front of an audience, but whenever people aren't concentrating on her she sabotages hard. She bet zero to lower the "average" in the auction challenge, she started bidding aggressively but stopped once others took over for her, she didn't recognise her own flag on the beach, she didn't vote for the correct liar in episode 2, she broke road rules when driving last episode, and there's a host of other small things that make me think it's her. Jochem is the "red herring" for me - he's the guy who's trying to make us think it's him. Immanuelle is the real Mole.
See I totally agree with that statement after watching this episode. Last episode I really did think it was Jochem because I felt he was sabotaging behind the scenes. This time around he was SUPER blatant. Either he is a red herring, or playing so aggressively (as the mole) so that the players would think he was a red herring. I really do hope Immanuelle is the mole.
H0lyMoley what about jeroen? He becomes 'the one with the wallet' , dont know the word in english, just before an assignment when the wallet holder gets a huge responsibility on his shoulders. he also earned just 500 himself, the lowest of all. in episode one he suspected two contestants who are already home, so how did he pass? immanuelle seems to fanatic for me, especially because of her reaction after thomas was just caught in front of the finish line. there was no way she could fake that reaction, since it was a spontaneous one. all in all jeroen is by far my main suspect, followed by diederik and sanne
The thing with Jeroen is that in episode 1 he was in the helicopter group (who had no chance to affect the pot) and in episode 2 he was in the kidnapped "on trial" group (who had the least chance to affect the pot out of all the contestants). I can just about buy the Mole being in one of those groups (hence my suspicions of Thomas), but both? As for Sanne... I just can't see a case against her. She seems like one of the best contestants when it comes to adding money to the pot, and she's playing a good social game as a contestant. Diedrik I can agree is a suspect, but not one of my leading ones.
To be honet with you H0lyMoley I think that the Mole should've been in the helicopter in episode one. If they didn't find the location of the examptions, the next assignment wouldn't have any sense...but maybe I'm wrong.
spoiler . . .
this is one of the funniest episodes. imanuelle, sanne and diederik are a blessing.
