You should have been a radio show host. There are 1000s of videos on ranch, but I really enjoy watching your videos because I like listening to your voice, it's very calm and then seeing all your work make it all worth watching your videos.
Seeing this incredible beautiful ranch work video reminds us of this beautiful song by the Redeemed Quartet-Thank You, Lord For Your Blessings On Me. Take time to listen, you will be glad you did, be inspired. Mucho Gracias. You can thank me later.🥰
Thanks John, there isn't a day go by that I don't appreciate this entire place. Even on frustrating days, its good to stop and look around and know how lucky you are. Thanks a bunch! -Mike
Man I’m a city dude ngl. But I need my self a ranch like this. This shits beautiful and really connects you with nature in a way the city could never connect you
Hi Mike and Erin. Thanks so much for allowing us into your personal life. My wife and I both grew up on small ranches when we were kids. We have been married for 40 years last month. 3 years ago, we had the chance to purchase a small horse ranch, which we have turned into a small business of specialty care for retired horses, or horse owners who have abandoned them. As your life, ours is very busy and we run this by ourselves. You know the game. Get up early, feed the animals, fix fences, feed the animals, fix more stuff, water the animals, paint stuff, talk to the animals, then feed them and say good night. We have really enjoyed your series, and especially the haying. Lucky (or not) we purchase hay/alfalfa, as our pastures dont have enough room to both grow hay and support daily feedings in the summer.
I've been watching for a while but still a "newbie"! I have enjoyed this tour because it has given me a better idea of how the ranch is laid out. Great lay out. Really appreciate you sharing your Wyoming Life with the rest of us. When I was a kid back in the day and playing cowboys and Indians, always dreamed of living on a ranch in Wyoming. Never got to do that but I have had a few visits. You and Erin are a real class act. Thanks for sharing.
Great video :-) It's fascinating to see how a ranch works and I certainly have way more respect for ranchers, not to mention gratitude for the food my family eats.
This is only the second video I have seen from you and I have to say I am incredibly impressed not only on how you do the videos but your Ranch just looks like Heaven on earth to me thank you so much for sharing your story with us
Thank you very much for the time you took to produce this video people need to know what it is like for the people that supply the rest of us with our food. I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate you ranchers Thank you!
My wife and I love to ride through Wyoming and I would like to know what road or HWY runs through your ranch so we could ride by and say hey that's there ranch and maybe even take a picture.
I love your channel. My wife and I are going to take over the ranch from her father and your channel really helps us get back into the ranch life and how to plan and prepare for our change in life. Keep up the great work, it helps tremendously.
Hello ! I enjoyed your video. My name is Danny from Houston Texas. I grew up spending summers on my Godfathers ranch in Friendswood, Tx. Now most of Friendswood is big subdivisions with big houses. My Godfather raised cattle, pigs, sheep and a few race horses and managed a lot of crops for wealthy owners who had a lot of land. I learned a lot over the summer it sure was fun. They worked very hard on this ranch just like you all do. Good luck and God bless.
Your voice and video presentation sounded like professionally done. Your calm and collected presentation are much like a media presenter. Well done. Just subscribed
The corral system looks nice. I remember when we had to move dairy cows around, we had to make a homemade corral with the equipment. Love the antiques on the wall in the shop.
This is why I love comments, the things on the wall are all there because they have a meaning. For example there is a toilet seat that a cow got stuck on her head. I should do something about the wall. The corrals rock, they were alot of work but the old corrals were way to wide and were a pain to work with, these are much better. Thanks! -Mike
Hello Mike! I've just recently found your videos. You're doing what I always dreamed of but was unable to do. I trust by now now you've learned the difference between a corral and a stall. Best of luck to you.
Happy to have just found your channel! You live the life that me and my wife to be dream about, and you guys are a true inspiration! Sadly we will never be able to have that much land here in Sweden but watching your videos makes us even more determined to make a great farm/ranch here with what we can get!! Keep up the amazing work and looking forward to follow your journey!!
Sure will keep in touch, will be watching your vids to find inspiration and just to see how y'all are doing! Might even have some questions from time to time, planning to raise cows for meat! Keep the great job up!
It can be daunting, when we first came here it was insane. Soon after working here you start to learn where every rock is and since trees aren't much of a landmark we use hills to help figure out where you are at times. Thanks Jim! - Mike
I just recently found your channel and man has it become one of my favorites. I want to someday raise bucking bulls but I still enjoy watching how you run your operation
This is the second video of yours I've watched and I really enjoyed it too. My paternal grandparents were farmers but I was a carpenter 53 years - the farm is a foreign world to me. It looks like you've really got a good thing going there for raising kids, eating and working out. I'm going to aim to gradually watch all your videos. It's really good stuff!
I love listening to your story, your ranch is amazing! I just found your page, and I look forward to watching life on the ranch out there. I live in a bad neighborhood in a run down city,so it is refreshing to see the expanse of all the land! I loved your analogy about New York City. I just can't imagine taking a long walk without seeing urban decay.
Thanks for the tour. The wife and I are at the other end of this journey you are taking. Our marriage of 45 years lasted through all the daily trials of a rural life. The contribution you and your wife are making goes unappreciated by most. The rest of us appreciate the memories or eye your situation with envy. Respectfully, Bill and Ramona
Good job. Always passing by Wyoming as a truck driver was asking myself its vast of territory with tough winter and windy seasons and how ppl could live here and grow their own veges well watching your videos now i know. Thanks and good luck
Hi. Mike! I thoroughly enjoy the videos you create! I've learned more about what my grandparents life was like on their Homestead in South Dakota. They started with 360 acres in 1921 and expanded the ranch to be 4,440 acres. They raised sheep. My dad would say "A good man can sheer 100 sheep a day (by hand)" My grandma taught school. The house my grandpa built is still standing, barely. They sold their ranch and retired in 1960. We would visit the ranch site from time to time over the years but it was unimaginable what it must have been like.
No worries. Beef ranching has always been interesting to me. Always been a fan of biology, since High school. Seems like you hot a pretty cool system. Land is so much cheaper out where u r. Im from the east coast. Lived in Oregon for two years, Pendleton area is where i caught beef ranching fever. The round up there is insane
Hi again! Yup my first tour and trying to catch up with all your many vids. I've commented a couple times already and I'm sure there's more ahead. This is a great channel and I'm so enjoying your commentary. Thx as always for sharing...
haha, I wish. I actually have to remind myself I'm not superman sometimes, and cant do it all myself. Without the help of family and friends, I dont think I would still be here. Thanks Thomas! -Mike
That’s cool because my uncle and aunt live on a farm/ranch I haven’t figured out what it is and it’s the only way I can spend time with them they also have a Longhorns in calves and they’re really fun to hang out with

You explain the farming tasks so well. I am a telecom engineer and grew up on a farm in NE Iowa in the 50s and 60s and I currently live in Houston where my house got 49 inches of rain in four days last week with no damage or leaks. Thank you.

Hi Mike,

She needs to make one of those a permaculture forest garden.
