i would so much rather parks on a budget go for short and punchy layouts like this instead of just going for cheaper and basic models, so this looks amazing to me
Yeah. The ride is tiny but it'll be so much better than the ride it replaced. Cobra was an awful coaster to ride, and its sketchy safety record didn't help.
I can see that but you gotta remember this is a small amusement park that is constrained both by the amount of land they have but also by budget. This place isn't rich and they have to fork out 35 million Danish kroner for this ride. It's not a lot in roller coaster terms but it's still a lot of money.
@@FABHadventures Yeah! The only other thing they can get in the same price range from high end manufacturers is a wooden coaster from the gravity group, but even that wouldnt be particularly large (likely only around the size of Timber/Bobcat) and cost more in maintenance in the long run than a steel coaster.
im so exited for vindfald, before i havent really been impressed with tivoli friheden, a good looking park but mediocre attractions (exept himmelrum and sommerfuglen (havent tried hjertekig or the free fall tower but wont try the freefall tower)) hope vindfald can redeem this park for me, because it seems people like it more than me
August is the best time to visit Sweden! The later summer nights are beautiful. Both Gröna Lund and Liserberg are at its best in the evenings when the sun sets.
The park is already small and on a tight budget. IDK if an RMC Raptor was in the cards, but I do know the park did consider an Intamin Hot Racer, and did do a trip to Australia to try the one in Sydney. However they ultimately went with Gerstlauer. I think part of it is that Gerstlauer could offer a ride at a lower price than Intamin, but also the fact that Gerstlauer has a very high safety record. And the whole reason for the new roller coasters existance is because their former roller coaster Cobra had a ton of safety issues, including 2 nearly identical derailments that resulted in fatalities. So safety was extremely paramount for the park. Aside from this, one other factor included in the cost is shipping. If they were to order an RMC, they'd also have to ship all the ride pieces all the way from Utah to Denmark, which is an extremely long distance. However Gerstlauer is based in Bavaria in Germany, which is much closer, meaning that the pieces of the ride dont have to be transported as far either. The only roller coaster manufacturer that has a closer geographic distance to Denmark is Vekoma which is based in the Netherlands, but they don't have any thrill rides in the price range that Tivoli Friheden has been looking. All their coasters are more expensive, and take up more land, which doesnt bode well for a small budget space constrained amusement park.
@@drdewott9154america has 300+ million people and enough psychos to love an RMC:... The Audience in denmark isnt as hardened, and with just short of 6 million people, it would devide guests too much. Plus they really dont have the space or budget for that massive of a coaster. Since cobra was a bad mistake, they need something simple and reliable too. Something that doesnt "hurt" people again.

Agree! They are getting a really exciting coster for a probably comparatively limited budget.
Very interesting video. I'm really excited about the new roller coaster :)
Me too! It is great to see that even smaller parks add large thrill coasters
I love Gerstlauer, this ride looks so cool.
It sure does! The setting will be great and the colors are just awesome
definitely a great fit for the park 💯
It sure is! This is really a good replacement for Cobra.
❤❤
I kinda wish the coaster was longer maybe another inversion and then the airtime hill into the brakes would make it more complete

@drdewott9154 For that amount of money they are getting a really good ride!

I hope to visit for my first time later this year... and hope I find the courage for the freefall tower. It looks insane!
Great video have you found any info on when the ride might open I was planning on visiting mid June and might add it to the trip if it could be open
Thanks a lot! Vindfald is set to open to the public on the 18th of may.
@@FABHadventures Thank you I'm going on the 8th of June interested to see how it is
Hope you have an amazing trip! Lots of great parks in Denmark. (And a few in Sweden as well if you make it so far… )
@@FABHadventures Thanks I hope so.
This trip is just Denmark will be going to Sweden in august very easy to get to from the uk.

Looks alright, nothing special. Would be interested to hear why a park would go for this over an RMC raptor though at this scale
If they got something this small and short do you really think they can afford a raptor?

Not everywhere needs an RMC
@@OnTheRailwayOfficialor can afford it :D
