I drew heavily from Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band while writing this arrangement. I feel that something my music has been lacking as of late is a little bit of life, so I really tried to give this one a lot of emotional charge, especially in the section where the saxophones are trading solos. The usage of sample libraries in my work sometimes limits the amount of real-ness that a cover of mine can have, but I'm trying my best to make my tunes as organic as possible.
I actually recorded this video back in September, and filming outside was quite the interesting experience. I had planned out almost all the shots in the video beforehand, so getting each shot wasn't too difficult to manage. However, playing along to the recording and focusing my camera by myself all while wearing a suit was the hardest part! It turned out well, though. I don't think I'll be doing this again anytime soon.. .especially because IT'S COLD OUTSIDE!
This song is part of Gamelark Records Volume 1, a compilation album featuring many VGM artists! It'll be available at the end of October. I'll make a vloggy sort of video about it and other things towards the end of October if you're interested!

I'm currently playing the ds version of Chrono Trigger and man, when I reached "THAT" part of the game, the feels are getting the most of me. You did justice to Schala's theme!
