Born, raised, and still live in Mississippi, where everybody talks like this...God love 'em. And this skit is so accurate it's scary! I sorta hate to say it - lol - because it reinforces southern stereotypes, but facts are facts, and there's an "aunt" like this in EVERY southern family! Yes, they are in ALL families, but when presented in James' classic, genuine Southern accent it just comes to life. I haven't enjoyed a comedy sketch this much in years! Thank you James Gregory!

Born and raised and still live in Georgia. I played this for my grandmother (Still alive) and I asked “Can I embarrass you”? and she just grinned and said yes and thought it was funny.

All of us nieces & nephews loved her...and she was the LIFE of all the family holidays & reunions!!!

Sorta of reminded me of myself around 4AM a few days ago, got up to go to the girls room and decided to grab a glass of milk to dunk some chocolate Oreos in, what a mistake! First I’m not really an Oreos fan, I don’t like cookies that might stick in my teeth, crazy I know, but if they are dunked, they aren’t so bad, and then I couldn’t eat just two or three, cause I had all of that milk, so I had to keep dunking, it took forever to get them
gone at the same time, and then the heartburn started, but being a martyr, well I guess I am one, cause I lay there hurting till 6 AM, even though I
had heartburn meds within reach. But I didn’t die. And the Oreos are gone.

I think I watch this guy because he reminds me so much of my own family… and they have all been gone for a long time. He brings me back to a happier time.

I enjoy a more sophisticated type of comic that doesn't have to insult a ton of people to get a laugh.. But that's just me. I don't find that particularly funny. But I can tell that your IQ is about the same level as this comic and that's cool. I'm not prejudice against dumb people.. 😆😂😆😂

I got the chance to meet him once and I can honestly say he is a great man and so kind with a great soul and view on life!
That on command, repeated burping was quite impressive.
I live in Oklahoma and have had several relatives just like this. This remind me so much of my wife’s Grandma. I fixed some hot chili one time, that nobody could eat, and she sat there and ate it all. Sweat was pouring off her forehead, she kept eating and would say,”It’s not hot”. We sure miss that old gal.

it's one thing to be a comedian, but if most of your shows are relatively clean comedy with little to no cursing and you can still make the crowd laugh hysterically, your a genius...James is the best

I honestly think...this comedic genius must be related to me. No one in my immediate family weighed under 250 pounds, except me. I grew up in Macon, Ga., and his choice of words and mannerisms is so spot on....it's uncanny. Every comment he makes, is so "Georgia Born", and yet so funny to generic groups who have no connection to the south, he becomes a bridge; drawing people together to laugh at and be entertained by a southern truth, as old as the south itself. Thank you, James, for reminding us all of our heritage....and the things that matter most. God speed!

I'm from Mobile also. The first I saw James' comedy my friend Donald sent this particular set to me. I couldn't laugh at it. Was in such Trauma from the fact that a close family member often said many of those almost exact statements....after a few weeks I watched it again, then again in a month. I gradually laughed a bit 3rd 4th viewings

Yes I have an aunt that says the same thing she displays all of what he is describing and when I read your comment I about died laughing cuz I haven't gotten to that part yet. My dad lives with her and says that she's already talking about what's for dinner right after n during whole time she's complaining about how stuffed she is.

I remember that on Thanksgiving. People either sleeping with their head leaning over or just sprawled out on the floor.
So true! As kids we would go running around playing especially around the underground war bunker my Grandpa made....just in case.
There's a chemical in turkey called tryptophan. that makes it a common sight to find everyone passed out. in the living room after Thanksgiving dinner. however it usually has less effect on children.
I opened for James “G” one night in Augusta Ga. I love the conversations I’ve had with this great comedian. Every time I would see James he would be in a awesome sports car.

Had a uncle that was so heavy my dad got a steel chair and welded 3” washers to the legs so he wouldn’t poke holes in the linoleum when he showed up for thanksgiving dinner.
Living in the South and having lived in the South as a kid, I can appreciate a lot the good things ... and one of them is good comedy. This is funny and spot on.

This brought to back such great memories of seeing James Gregory live multiple times when I was stationed, and lived in SC. We laughed so hard our faces hurt. And walked around saying “it could be a law? I don’t know” for days!

Just got done seeing him for my 17th Birthday, he was hilarious. My Dad got up with him some how and told him it was my Birthday without me knowing, so he surprised me by getting me to go up on stage and wishing me a Happy Birthday. He also gave me a signed t-shirt, it was awesome. Very nice and funny man, I highly recommend going to see him.

The first time I saw James Gregory was at an A T&T Dinner and Corporate event several years ago at the StarDome in Birmingham, Alabama and he was hilarious 😂. I thoroughly enjoyed him. He had me in tears from start to finish.
