    The first time I bought a quality monitor-ish headphones (Sennheiser HD205) about 15 years ago is like I was hearing my favourite music for the first time - every sound was so clean and completely different than any cheap ass HiFi rubbish headphones I have owned before that. And since then I always rely on monitoring types for listening music, especially when I also used to mix and DJ some years ago, simple because this is the way to enjoy fully your favourite music just like the way the author intended to sound in the first place. So my trusty Superlux HD661s finally died few days ago (RIP, fellas) and I started to.look for a new pair. Since I already have a great pair of Presonus desktop monitors (the Eris 3.5) I was pretty surprised they also make headphones, that looks so surprisingly sturdy. Thanks for the review, it looks like they are worth buying.

    Can confirm that this headphone is for small headed people. I got the brother of this one (superlux hd660, same shape & sound but closed back with more tight, getting punch in ur face bass & less soundstage. Loved it)
    I got relatively small head (still bigger than averages in my place) & the headphone sits well on my head fully extended. I do wanna change the earpads with a better one. The price of this headphone fully modded is still a fraction compared to the beyerdynamic (headphones r ridiculously expensive here...especially the branded one. Heck even mine r considered expensive)
    Planning to buy the hd330 as well & then I got them twins

    Can you describe how the HD 330 sounds compared to a Hifiman HE400SE? Thanks for sharing you view on these products.

    I have a small head, so i think the Superluxes would probably fit me well. In terms of the sound quality, I 'm looking to use these for Deejaying, so would you say they have enough punch for monitoring ?

      The sound quality out of them was very good, the only thing I would say is that the Superluxes ear cups can't flip or rotate, but they are a good monitoring headphone, just no good for my size head lol

    Which would you recommend for music production like mixing and mastering

      Mate, I can only comment on the ones I have used, the HD9's for me are the ones I use everyday while mixing/mastering etc. I was thinking about the Audio Technica M40X, I like the detachable cable, but at the time, I was in a music shop saw the Presonus and grabbed them. If I had a bit more money to spend I would go the Beyerdynamic DT770 though. As I mention in the video anything that isn't labelled as "studio monitors" etc is probably not going to give you the "true" sound.

    I'm looking for an update, I have the fidelio x1s, and they say that the hd330 is perfect with a tube amp, I'm thinking of getting a littlebear p10 + Sanskrit 10th MKII SMSL to listen with the hd330, what do you think? ps: (sorry for my english, i'm using translator
    )

      All I can say is they are probably the best headphones I have ever used, my son who used to DJ in clubs in Brisbane was over for christmas and commented on how good they sound, I am assuming that with a tube amp you would get a much warmer and less digital sound
