Ugh... I have a heated tube, haven't changed settings in weeks or months... woke up this morning to a very dry and sore throat and an almost full reservoir of water, which is unusual as it is typically almost down to the minimum level. :-( Nothing has changed in our room either (we sleep in a cooler room). It's the oddest thing.
My water tank goes down just slightly every night. But I wake up super dry every morning. I have the heated tube. And I just ran the warm-up for more than 15 minutes to see if the chamber was warm. It was cool as a cucumber. The only mistake I may have made is that my bedroom has a humidifier during the winter time. So that could be affecting it? I’m gonna leave my humidifier off for the rest of the night tonight and part of tomorrow to see if that makes a difference. I have not received any errors or warnings on my machine.
@@CPAPmyway I wake up with extremely dry mouth. But my machine is only using just a very little bit of the water every night for some reason. And isn’t the chamber supposed to get warm?
What temp should the heated tube be on hi , I turned the water up to hi and the tube up to hi and I had rain out all of the way up to my mask with in to hr ? Thank you, Bruce.
I have a heated tube and the water reservoir has been full the last 3 days, no change in room humidity, and waking up dry, no error messages. The 1st Air Sense had to be returned for loud noise and it wasn't a year old. This is a refurbished one! I'm losing faith in Resmed.
@@CPAPmyway Thank you for responding. Actually I increased the humidity setting and nothing changed. After pulling the water chamber out in the morning after 6 hours, I found out that the area that heats the water was cold. Also, the "Warm up" setting was greyed out vs my husband's CPAP which allows you to toggle it on or off. Totally dried out, now sinus issues, not helpful since I also have asthma. I appreciate your response.
@@CPAPmyway We drove 3 hours round trip just to get another machine with the SAME issue. The "warm up" mode on the used/"new" machine was STILL greyed out. My husband figured out why my machine wasn't heating up = the "warm up" mode was greyed out due to a defective heated hose, this was evident when he switched his hose to my machine (he uses the same CPAP) , the WARM UP mode was now not greyed out, and the machine heated up. THIS IS STUPID, and not only did the DME tech not know - they gave me another AirSense 11 in a Phillips Respironics bag. WHY is this not noted anywhere in the manual or available in troubleshooting? My husband is an electrical engineer - some others might not be so fortunate. I loathe the AirSense 11 and am looking for another machine.
I use a Resmed 11. The water in my water chamber does not go down in the morning. I wake up with dryness in my nose. Extremely uncomfortable. I do not use a heated tube. My humidifier is set at 3. We do use a humidifier in the room at night. Besides getting a heated tube, is there anything else I can do?
I am running a ResMed AirSense 10 with a heated hose and an oxygen concentrator (without a humidifier kit) being injected into the base of the heated hose. I frequently wake up with dry mouth, especially during the summer months with water still in reservoir. The AC vent blows right on the AirSense 10 which I'm sure has something to do with this issue. I have elevated the humidity setting for the AirSense 10. Moving the AirSense 10 away from the vent is not an option; neither is closing the vent. Should I add a humidifier kit to the concentrator as well? any other suggestions? Thanks!
My water tank ran out of water in the middle of the night. The humidifier continue to run creating a bad smell, is this normal. Should the humidifier automatically stop if there is no water?
This may be the issue. i haven't woken up feeling dry at all. For the past two days the water in my humidifier chamber hasn't gone down hardly at all, and over these two days, i have noticed a loud popping sound when i inhale and it sounds like its coming from the tube. I have only been on cpap for maybe 4 months.
If the ambient room conditions are not letting the machine produce moisture, how is the room’s humidity interning into your mask? Am I wrong for thinking that? 🤷🏻♂️
ty but its not working at all the water, are the suction. the mask seal say its still nit working what can i do? i took it back to the place but its still not working right
Just started using therapy on Airsense 11. First night it used half the water. Second night it used no water. Should I fill the chamber with less water?
I would keep it full. Changes in weather can affect the way it uses water. So you really never know when it will use a bunch and when it will use very little water.
This doesn’t answer any of my questions. Not using water, nose totally dry and getting nosebleeds, using heated tube, set on auto for climate control and tube temp like always. Bottom of tank is not hot like before. Getting no alerts or notices that there is a problem. How about a suggestion as to what settings to use if the auto isn’t working? Or what else to try other than it’s all probably just fine.
@@CPAPmyway I'll have my machine on same settings each day, but sometimes my mouth gets very dry and other times there's too much moisture in the hose.
Air Sense 10 has a non heating humidifier platform problem. I have 3 brand new Air Sense 10. All, the humidifiers do not heat up. I know how to adjust anything on my three machines and no matter how I adjust it, the bloody platform does not heat up. I took my Air Sense 10 to my sleep lab, it would not heat up for them either. There is something wrong with my 3 machines and since you are showing a Resmed machine in your video, it could be simply the heating platform does not heat up because it can't. It is broken. I was forced to have my humidifier outside my Air Sense 10 but I would love to get my Air Sense 10 heating platform fixed BUT THERE IS NOWHERE I CAN GO TO DO THAT. And your video is useless to me, sorry.
Thank you. I feel better about why my water tank has the same amount of water from the night before.
Glad we could help!
I just have the same issue and I thought it was a problem as well. 😅
Thank you for the great info.

about half full when I wake up.
Thanks for the input.
Mine is always about half full.
Wake up wonderfully refreshed

Everyone is different. if you are having rainout and the tube is all the way up, then you have to reduce humidity.
@@CPAPmyway OK, Thanks, Bruce.
I will try the heated tube but Amazon only seem to have the Resmed 10 versions.
There are plenty of other online retailers of heating tubes.

Are you dried out or needing more humidity. It won't add humidity if it doesn't feel like it needs to. Maybe that is the issue?

The heated tube is the very best option. Link below to it.

Increase the humidity setting on the CPAP if you haven't done so already. Buy the heated tube, why not?

You can add a humidifier to the concentrator, but watch the excess condensation.

That does happen and I think the only thing that may help is to reduce the humidity if you can to use less water.

It is just using room air, so whatever the rooms conditions are just pass through to you.

That will need a repair r replacement. You will need to reach out to your provider.
