    Thoroughly enjoying your lessons. You make everything so clear and obvious, especially abstract concepts that are difficult to visualize at the beginning. I appreciate you doing your thing, it’s really making an impact on some of us. 👏👏🙌🙌💪

    I found a really nice S sound in the vox..I cut & copied it and just pasted and shaped it in place of the nasties and it works like a charm.

      Du coup, j'ai acheté sibilance de Waves et je suis enchanté, parmi ceux que j'ai essayé, c'est vraiment le meilleur...efficace, simple et conserve le naturel de la voix !

    The Waves F6 is a dynamic EQ. Why not just use that plugin to attenuate the frequencies you identify when sweeping?

    • @mixwithjerry
      @mixwithjerry  Год назад

      Half the time when people use Dynamic EQ the frequencies are just bouncing down and being dipped at all times anyway.

    Ever tried Smack Attack on vocals? I know its not meant but I use it and its pretty nice to push clean vocals through a mix

    • @mixwithjerry
      @mixwithjerry  Год назад +1

      Only on kick and snare for me. Parallel compression is usually what I go for to get the vocal to cut through the mix.

      @@mixwithjerry Yes well like said I know its not made for but it has a smooth effect on it. Just it can add some crackle to it but else its pretty cool

    What’s the name of the that waves eq you used to find the frequencies ??

  • @daveleffelvoiceover9427
    @daveleffelvoiceover9427 9 месяцев назад

    Why didn't you use a frequency analyzer on those S's first?????????? De-Essing 101.

    • @mixwithjerry
      @mixwithjerry  9 месяцев назад

      The F6 EQ that I used has a frequency analyzer if you wanted to do that. I chose to solo the EQ band to listen for those frequencies instead of looking for them.

    It’s even worse on tablets and phones. Too many people speak with their teeth, instead of the tongue touching the top/roof of the mouth when making t and s sounds.
