    all the crypts standing like little houses in a village of the dead really remarkable . well done for the scramble through the brambles it was really worth it to be able to see the remains . And I'm so glad the unknown woman was finally given her name and is now at peace . Thank you Serenity Sue for sharing xx

    You have such an appreciation of aesthetics when it comes to graveyards. My wife and me also enjoy the architecture of resting places, the railings, the stylized designs of the stones.
    Also astonishing is the human remains so clearly visible - another story of someone’s life still being told.

    Lusitania was a very fast ship. During WWI they stopped using the fourth boiler because of the cost of the fuel and manpower to keep it running. Her primary commercial purpose was as a cruise ship but during the war fewer people were making the voyage so cost cutting measures were taken. So at the time it was sunk it could not travel at top speed.

    Thank you 🙏 Enjoying your series from California. I grew up in rural Cork prior to emigrating to NY at age 14 with my twin sister and mother to join our 2 brothers. Our oldest sister had joined the Holy Faith nuns and lives in Glasnevin…a stones throw from the National cemetery and beautiful botanical gardens. I would not trade those simple but meager times for anything in the world and I do so miss the green green grass of home.☘️

      Hi Sue,
      I’m pleasantly surprised to receive a personal reply. We lived in Templemartin, about seven miles from Bandon. My father, grand/ great grandparents and other family are in Kilcrea Abbey near Ovens. It is located in the beautiful Bride river valley and I hope to have my little urn interred there also. My father John passed on October 4th 1946, exactly 3 months before we were born. We attended Gurranes school…a little 2 room school and went to Cloughduv church in our poney and trap. I was about 7 years old when our house had electricity installed. I remember the oil lamps on the wall.
      My mother’s hands were full trying to raise five children under the age of eight on her own.
      Btw, I’ve experienced communications from the spirit world through dreams and EVP. I view death as a simple doorway…a doorway to new adventures.
      Thank you for taking me along on your adventures and take care of yourself.
      Kind regards, Betty 👍🙏☘️😊

    You did an amazing job documenting everything in detail and you did your homework and research i'm impressed. I had hoped that maybe you might help me. My name is Arik. I am 41 and terminally ill from brain swelling. I don't have much longer to live. And need answers and closure. I am looking for the Kelly family or Kelley not sure. All records were destroyed in an arsenal fire around 1917. Michael was from all my resources the caretaker at the lighthouse and had the shack right next to it as their home. His best friend was the blacksmith Angus O'Callaghan. Michael's wife was Cynthia who died of either stomach cancer or maybe consumption around 1913 or 14, they had a daughter Rose who died at 14 or so after giving birth to a baby girl. Who I believe was handed to an elderly couple on a near by island. Rose was supposed to of been buried on his
    Their island so that the daughter can visit her mum any time. Michael's son Nolan was also young about 12 or 14 when after Rose
    The country took him away and his last words to his dad were as followed Dad I love you very much Please stay strong because very soon. I will run away from the orphanage and come back to you. And we could be a family again and no one can stop us. Make hole broke down and continued to care for the White House. And it's garden, but every night he came inside and saw his empty home and his kids rooms away, they left them And after that every night he wanted the living room and sat on one of the 2 cast iron chairs Angus made for him and his wife's anniversary and has a Turkish royal cigarette in one hand ans a scotch in the other and listed to a primitive record his wife made that she sang to the children that she wrote now known as you are my sunshine. He did this 5 nights in a row then the last night he died of a broken heart. A broken man who lost everyone he loved. Angus found him the next day and buried him next to Cynthia about a few clicks from their home and the lighthouse. I don't remember how many clicks and and they each had a Celtic Cross on Is there unmarked graves. Rumor has it That Angus himself Paid for Nolan To go on a cruise liner to America where he got a job as ground keeper. And later on the caregiver of Ellis island where he met his wife. He also apparently kept his promise to his family to publish his mom's song. And sold it to the land that now made it the song that it is. After that he joined world war two and died at Is the battle Of normandy. He was shot near the shoulder from Enemy fire answer. His unit ran for their lives and he was at the time time. His shoe leaned over when He got shot, but he wouldn't live. But he fell forward into a landmine andto his chest that's when he died. This is all I have and that are all unconfirmed reports as all family records were destroyed in the arson fire in nineteen seventeen. And with Michael and his wife's graves unmarked now. And part of the golf course it's gonna be hard to find anything and with no way of finding out for sure. Anything about rose on the nearby island or Nolan in America. I need answers and I need closures before I die. Please help me god bless.

      Hi, I'm sorry to hear your health is not so good. Kelly and O Callaghan are popular names here in Ireland, we have many lighthouses and little islands, unfortunately I just wouldn't know where to start. If you had the county name it would help

    • @arik1912
      @arik1912 9 месяцев назад

      @SerenitySueGraveyards yes county cork, old head of Kinsale, the lighthouse and shack are now part of the golf course. Mind u all family records of their existence were in that arson fire in 1917 in that white building

    Hi Sue. With regards to the headstone of George Arnop, are all those people on the inscriptions buried in that one grave? I can't see how you could keep adding to it as surely it would disturb the bodies already there? I can only assume the stone commemorates the others who maybe buried elsewhere?

    • @SerenitySueGraveyards

    Great video Sue and GV, thank you very much. I have never seen so many crypts of this type before. This church ⛪️ and graveyard are just super cool! Those remains, I saw no evidence of coffins, how do you think they got that way?

      @michaelbedinger4121 Год назад

    • @SerenitySueGraveyards
      @SerenitySueGraveyards  Год назад +1

      I've found a few since this video, one from last night even, where you can't find remains of a coffin, perhaps it was a cheaper burial just to have a shroud

    • @michaelbedinger4121
      @michaelbedinger4121 Год назад

      @Serenity Sue That makes sense 🤔. Although, you would think, that if a family could afford a half way decent burial vault, the family could afford coffins ⚰️ ,
      Even low quality coffins, for its members to be buried in. Thank you very much again Sue, for your time and patience with my questions.

    I wonder if you would consider researching President Biden’s Irish roots on his mother’s side (Finnegan). I believe his grandmother is from Mayo. I’m certain it would be a very popular episode which would garner more subscribers. I would certainly share it. He and President Zelenskyy were born for this moment in world history. The other guy almost pulled off that coup attempt. Where would Ukraine be now if that had occurred….I shudder at the thought of it!!
