I do very much appreciate you trying to read some of these headstones though! Hopefully the people buried there feel appreciated when they hear their name read aloud. They're not forgotten.

You are very brave, Sue! I don't know if I would have gone down in that vault, but I'm glad you did so that we could see it. I love those old cemeteries and the old photos. I love to see the fashions on both men and women. I have pictures of both my great grandparents of the 1880/90s. They are very somber looking, but it still gives you a glimpse of who they were. Thank you for taking us along!

That tree canopied walkway, love it! Bad diseases, I know they used lead coffins for…anything that was what they deemed was dangerous, they put those bodies in lead coffins to protect others from the germs. Interesting how plagues are handled, even these days.
Sue, what would you have done if someone answered your “Hello”?? Boo 👻!
The brick-work down in the crypt looks newer than the rest of the place.
I’m glad your curiosity outweighs your fears. 😊
I really do like to see their photos. It took a long time to take a photo back in the day, I read that was why you hardly see anyone smiling in old photos. 🤷🏼‍♀️

How wonderful it would be to have the time to thoroughly explore that immense and venerable cemetery. To walk up and down and in and around every single pathway, pausing to read the inscription on every single headstone. Such a peaceful place, made all the more beautiful because of all of that overflowing greenery, though I realize that a lot of it has to go.
Inevitably, there are the graves of children, and we can see what they looked like from the poignant photos their parents left behind for us to see. The children are in a better place now, but wherever that might be, I hope that they're allowed to leave it once in a while to return to the place where they are buried. I like to imagine the kids roaming the grounds, running up and down the pathways, climbing trees, hooting and hollering, and playing hide-and-seek among the headstones and monuments, at least until they hear their mothers calling for them that it's getting late and it's time for them to come home.

Oh wow Sue! What a beautiful place to walk through! Such magic, with the lovely carved tomb stones, aged, green, leaning, but so much character! And then you go and find a VERY FULL underground crypt! I could feel your excitement, and started to hope you WOULDNT go down those steep steps into the dark hole before, but there is no holding you back! I got really worried as you had just been talking about the Cholera epidemic…and I didn’t know how long the spores or whatever lived for, or whether the rain might have washed some into the atmosphere!! 😱 so I dashed off to Google to check, as you had me so worried you might inadvertently pick something nasty up!! Oh Sue! Please don’t alarm me like that again…I’ve had to have a medicinal brandy in my coffee!! 😉😉
Glad to read your safe from that at least, but do you ever wonder what germs might be released when the coffins are opened up or fallen apart?…perhaps wearing a mask might be an idea? Those porcelain pictures are beautiful..,but the little ones make me feel so sad too……their parents hearts irrevocably broken bless them 😢. I wonder if there are people still making porcelain pictures for graves? I’ve seen some with photos, and it always makes me feel welcome to visit those people, as they are often smiling, which gives you a warm feeling as if you have known them. They seem to allow them in cemeteries, but not in our C of E church yards yet which is sad. Glad I just saw GV off on a mission of his own! At least I know your not alone there getting into mischief!
Love and Light Sue! 🤗🌹👩‍🦳💕 hugs from Helen xx

Sue, one of the things that keeps me coming back to your videos, is your sense of compassion and respect for the deceased, which comes through so obviously. Be safe in your travels….😔

    Congratulations Sue and GV
    Another amazing video 👍
Cemetery looks so peaceful with all the trees 🌲
    Now that it is abandoned
Nature will for sure take over

The amount of money to put into the gravestones has to be incredible. It is beautiful the way it is, but it would be nice to see the graves cleaned too.

im very glad to discover you and mr visitations; people who share my morbid tastes; ive been fascinated by cemetaries death vampires ghouls etc since i was 4 and saw the old universal horror pictures with all the graveyards and we have some famous fantastical grave yards here in nyc; but i enjoy your channels; its better than some unacceptable sex urge ( which thank g-d i dont have strange though i am lol ); but pt is we share this strange fascination

Those beautiful plant-moved tablets! I like this place more than the mostly "astro-turf-like" cemeteries around here!

@@SerenitySueGraveyards My boyhood home was on the edge of a forest. It was always interesting to wander there and see the different forms of life, even the beetles and grubs living within an old rotting stump.

This place made me think back to those scenes in the 1960 "The Time Machine," where the time traveller goes far into the future and finds the overgrown ruins of buildings from centuries gone by.
