That's what sold me on it too. Wasn't too convinced at first as board games in general can be a bit hit or miss depending on table vibes.
Your guys' call of cthulu games from a couple years ago are some of my favorite yogs content period. I've watched that series like 4 times and am unbelievably so happy we're getting more. Thank you!

I don't know if yet more channels are a good idea, but if it gets me more of your guys' silly campaigns I am all for it.
Does make a certain amount of sense if you consider that the RUclips algorithm tends to get confused if you have different types of content on the same channel without the audience necessarily overlapping. The overlap between people that watch roleplaying content and Warhammer content is probably fairly unidirectional.

Oooooh, so it's a bit more then just a Tom & Friends project. I was already sold, but this also opens up for more variety down the line. Never doubted you lads, but it always makes me happy when you capitalize on the vast, hefty, girthy experience you have on the platform when deciding how/when to do things.
The content shotgun today also gave me a bit of a chuckle. Like damn Jingle Jam hit a bit early, honestly.
Just love the energy they are putting into mystery quest. Also love that the Yogs are doing passion projects. Their joy in doing them shines through.

That would require effort and for the Yogscast to actually listen to what the fans want, so of course not
Not sure why you would bother with a whole new channel, when this channel would've been perfectly fine for the TTRPGs.

Dam it seems there are lots of people wondering why they made a whole new channel dedicated to TTRPG. I think this is due to the fact that Mystery Quest is more of a Tom side project than a whole Yogcasty thing. He talks about it near the end of his most recent announcement ruclips.net/video/NDAK5VfLSDg/видео.html
The alternative was to instead upload said videos onto his own channel which he didn't want to do as he wanted to keep his main channel more video game focused.
The 2023 reinvigoration of Yogscast tabletop content makes me unreasonably happy

Please dont make a thousand channels for every minute subject. It makes it impossible to keep track of everything. How many people will miss the new channel because they dont see a singular 1 minute video. We dont want a repeat of lewis's insanity from a few years back when he went on a channel creating spree. You can't watch content you don't even know exists.
Why so many different channels when you could have more content on the channel that rarely gets updated?
Probably due to youtube algorithm not being a fan of vastly different types of video/content in the same channel.
Additionaly it is easier to see how much money comes in and can be justifiably spend on crew, editing, recordings etc.
Yeah, it seems really weird to split the channel further, especially since it seems that Games Night is maybe struggling a little.
Though they may be worried that the Yogsquest stuff will just bury the Wargaming stuff & overshadow it.

Honest opinion.
I don't think a new channel was necessary. It's one of the reasons Games Night has become so stagnant. You spun off all the different things, like High Rollers, leaving you with little for the channel itself.
It's been explained as splitting the different content over different channels means they directly know what people want and how best to push that. If they had long form TTRPG content interspersed with the 30 minute videos Games Night is clearly tailoring towards it screws with how the videos and channel gets pushed. The shorter form will usually be pushed more by RUclips as it's easier to digest and usually has higher views. This way means everything is a similar format, it rewards those properly who work hard on it as there's still wages to pay, and it gives the community things they've been asking for. High Rollers is a great example to use. People wanted D&D, it was introduced to the Yogs audience and then when those who worked on it knew it had legs moved it over to be it's own thing while still being part of the Yogs network. High Rollers stands as a separate entity now and you don't need knowledge of other Yogscast stuff to enjoy it, this makes it better for a wider audience and gives it as good a chance as ever to keep going indefinitely if things are kept up.
To add to what DrGoblin said, High Rollers is also a completely separate thing, run by Mark, Kim, Katie, Trott, and Tom, which pretty much focuses on just DnD with the occasional other TTRPG, that’s not really the same as Mystery Quest
