Hey design champs! There is a run-down shed on my property that I am going to renovate into a tiny house over the next thirty days (hopefully). I'm going to put it on airbnb and see if we can get some guests! If you want to follow along with me on the journey i'm going to make a video about it everyday for the next 30 days! Today I made a lot more progress on the tiny house with completing a good portion of the sewage plumbing.

You don't have to go over 30. You're a designer, you can do day 30, 30_FINAL, 30_FINAL_FINAL, 30_FINAL_FINALv2 and so on.
Final_thisone1
and eventually day 30_FINAL_FINAL_FINAL-FOR_REAL_THIS_TIME

Love it.
Brilliant!
I hope you decide to build a mansion cause i want this to be infinite
I think at this point you could make any kind of video and I will click it to watch you over anything my dude! You are that entertaining.
I've really like the series. Look forward to all the endless details needed toward the end of any construction. BTW, Pier and beam structures piping freezes pretty easily. PEX is better than both PVC or ABS for hot or cold extreme environments like Lubbock. And,, this is especially true for ABS... ABS gets brittle over time MUCH faster than PVC. It is less structurally sound material and some codes prevent its use for plumbing.
So crazy! I didn't even know there was an alternative to PVC but so interesting 😂 ALSO: I have been thinking about this the whole series but today just really stood out so I had to mention. Does anyone know if Zim is making his own slapping beats for these videos?!?!? I can't imagine he has time on top of everything else but also wouldn't be that surprised because he is the GREATEST!! They have just all been so good but today's was especially unique (& completely ZIM) so I had to ask!! 👀😅💕 Either way, still awesome!! 🙌
He is!!? Whoa!!
JJ! Thanks for all the support over the last month, you're the best! No, I don't make the beats, although I definitely have dabbled in it before : p I use epidemic sound. But I'm running out of songs on there now... Hope you've been great man!
This is a really cool series! I'm gonna binge watch the previous vids 😁
Can't wait for episode 30+10, so glad it's not ending at 30. I watch everyday to get amped before starting work on my house renovation
This is exciting work! I look forward to when you get around to installing the living room toilet!.. but I know, I know.. bathroom first. THEN living room. Priorities..
Loving this series! 😍 I wait the new video everyday!
Each single day you impress. Keep up it up Zimri.
Still amazing.
It's called a Bell Saw in French (scie cloche).
I love Cocoa and Puff so much
Wow Day 27 this is AMAZIIING POSSUMS
I want to be the first to rent this airbnb 😀 Never been to Texas..now I have a reason.
What is the plan regarding isolation? I’ve studied structural engineering and we did lots of calculations on the importance of isolation and “air layers” (Swedish translation) within walls/ceiling/floors not only to keep a good indoor temp but to most importantly prevent water damage and mold due to condensation when layers of the constructions have varying temps inside and out!
I was just thinking about flooring insulation.
best timelapse music of the whole platform istg
the bar is extremely low though
holesaws are bougie anyway
Definitely this is Coco ‘s shed
PVC stock dropped 50% since this video was published!
If you'd told me you needed some hole saw attachments I could have ordered them for you.
Ladies and Gentlemens...your next host of This Old House - Zimri Mayfield
It could happen!!!
I would like someone to make a slideshow of Zimri's shoes slowly disintegrating as the house is being built
Texas gets really cold…me crying in canadian
Would have been great if you said at the end “see you later alligator, stay awesome….” Cut to the outdo music haha. (Dead battery)
We need to educate our hero on Harbor Freight.
hey guys, whats the song at the beggining of the video ? its f ing great
Commenting for the algorithm
I'd like to know what Zim considers "very, very cold" because the average temps I see for middle of winter for Lubbock don't even hit freezing. >_
Anything below 50 is cold for me: )) average will be a bit higher but if you look at lows and especially at night. For me it feels cold cold. Like 12, 14 feel cold ❄️ but I'm a wimp :)
Haha I wondered the same! I figured based on the lack of a freeze line for burying water lines, we must have a different definition of very, very cold. 😅😅
how did you learn all of this ????
30 more days
QQ: Where did you learn about construction? I am certain most people could achieve what you are doing but the research and education needed would make it far, far slower to achieve what you have achieved in such a short amount of time.
5:50 please watch your head with those nails sticking from the wall :S
only way digging a trench under a house could be more fun is if it was wet. with salamanders.
Well everything I made, ain't that great, but 30 days to airnbnb my shed ♫
3 days left??? 😆😆😆
Update thumbnail *27
Loooove you and all your videos but boy oh boy today's song was painful for my ears 😣
This series is so entertaining
This series has turned into 30 days to convince Coco’s doggo buddy to become Zimri’s doggo buddy.
Do a time lapse after the 30 days of a 5-10 mins of All the progress from start to now.
Day 30.1
Day 30.2
..
Day 30.99999
Is the thing i wanna see for the rest of my life
i haven’t kept up with a daily series on youtube since i was in middle school (like 7 years ago) and for some reason this has gripped me
edit - just realized you’re in Lubbock! so cool i pass through that town at least once a year when I visit family in Granbury. Friendly little town with a tight knit community.
love the music choice - made it feel like you were navigating a bizzaro pipe labyrinth with some spooky secrets :D
Really digging the music
I laughed a lil too hard at 2:51
I find it so endearing that all of us as a community have adopted Coco and Puff. Cutest thing ever
🎾 Hey Zimri tell the backstory of how you became so talented with rehabbing houses.
Seriously love this 30 day shed build. Got me wanting to building something
me at that sweet drum solo at 2:51: 🤟🏼💃🥁
YOU ARE MY MOTIVATION!!! THANK YOU!!! 😉👍
You ever been to the miracle that is Harbor Freight? Things like hole saw kits, clamps, oscillating multi-tool blades, and drill bits are available for purchase at a fraction of that cost of a Lowes or Home Depot.
I am very well aware that each outro song is cut off shorter for each video. I'm onto your sneaky tactics for world domination.
Yo build my room.
But what will happen after you are done. You need more projects. More daily videos!
loved the brazilian funk from today's soundtrack, haha
I want "30 Days to airbnb my shed - Day 31". It will be interesting 😂
The editing is swo owsom!
I understand your point about not wanting to buy a bunch of hole saws, but, like, can I send you a set?? 😂 Probably too late at this point, but that's a ton of extra work for those 2" and 3" holes (and I'd argue that it's not as safe).
A lot of people don't know this but Coco was actually the governor of Texas in the mid-nineties!
good job Bro cheeers fromm Poland! :)
drop the zimri playlist... what does one listen to as they "insert laying pipe joke here"...?
Thanks for changing the 26 to 27
Well ..the outside is finished! 💪
Funk beat. Me likey
This series will be called 30 by 30…..30 days to build an Airbnb shed plus 30 more days.
In Ireland the weather seems to be very similar. Loving the build 😀
This is so impressive with how simple he makes it look.
How did you learn how to do all of this stuff? At least in my country, it takes years of trade school to become a plumber, and same for becoming a carpenter, but you seem to know how to do pretty much everything. And where I live, I don't think it's legal to do plumbing like this yourself. It requires professionals and has to pass a bunch of inspections. I guess maybe the laws in the US aren't as strict.
He seems to have learned by doing, rather than going to school. He has mentioned multiple times learning this stuff helping his brothers flip houses. And yes, the US has laws regarding doing work like this, called permits you have to apply for in your city. It’s to make sure you do things like electrical up to code laws. You don’t have to have a degree to do work like this I don’t think, like being a license electrician but it helps gets approvals faster with the permits and inspections. Zim hasn’t talked about that part but the big house was a major major project so I’m guessing he got some type of permits??? lol who knows. People do work without getting the correct approvals and just hope not to get caught.
If it gets cold, will you be insulating it at all?
The whole house will be insulated. He is nowhere near done lol. All those walls need insulation and then inner walls added (sheetrock).
