Hi there just saw your video pop up and brought up great memories, we stayed around the corner at grand blue condominium for 10 days during Songkran, we loved it there away from all the noise and bright lights, i wondered about your building as i visited the seven eleven and now i know thank you. Where you in the hotel part of GrandBlue or the private residence condo side?
Thanks for showing and comparing. From my opinion it is not worth paying double for just a different decoration and minor upgrades - both having the identical layout. A game changer could be the more comfortable bed if the basic one isn't good.
Last question: how is the water quality? I have been at Jomtien (Pattaya) and it wasn't very inviting.
Water quality is good! It's not super clear with different shades of blue like Koh Samet, but it's still clean and inviting. I haven't been to Jomtien before so can't really compare the two.

How is this location of Mae Phim beach? On the map it looks quite remote with little infrastructure (shops, restaurants..). Recommended? How is the climate bearable currently (assuming you are "now" there)?
Mae Phim is a small beach town. There aren't many amenities here, but you still have your choice of 20+ restaurants. There's a coffee shop with a rooftop that we enjoy working from.
