You can use a battery operated fuel transfer pump. Also, spread peanut butter on the spigot. They’ll learn real fast!
Love your new podcast with Ben and Al. Three of my favorite homestead homies in one place!!!💖 Those baby kune kune's are so stinkin adorable and they sure do like their new digs!
Man I love your videos. I could never get tired of watching them.
Glad to hear it
And a GREAT PODCAST it is. I love it. ❤️
Man, that lil truck looks good with your logo on the door !
I love the Kune pigs, you got a great breeder pair and the bacon seeds are adorable.
The Homestead Shoptalk show is terrific if nothing else it's a chance for young men to see adult men fellowship together without "lockerroom talk" or foulmouth phrases.
🎉 hooray for sow the land ! Your killing it !
🥰🥰 We enjoy the KuneKune content. 🥰🥰
From my experience with guineas, the issue you're having with the turkeys is most likely a mix of splay leg and slipped tendons. It can be caused by a lot of things but most commonly is because the birds are growing so fast that the musculoskeletal system can't keep up. If it's not addressed immediately, the tendons stiffen in the new positions, the muscles atrophy, and the extremity loses blood supply. Even if it is addressed immediately, there's a low chance of fixing the issue. It is humane to cull although it's very disappointing. We had several quail with this problem, and thankfully only one of our guineas this last round had it.
Loraine’s mama voice came out. Lol even I stopped dead in my tracks when she yelled NO!!! Lol love y’all so much! The pigs are in hog heaven. 🐖🐖
I love these little piggie antics. You might have to strap that blue barrel to the tree so they won't tip it over. Thanks for sharing. Y'all have a Blessed day.
Love the piglets. They are so cute. Love all the videos. Have a blessed day 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️💕💕👩🏻🌾
I have watched the podcast. Loved watching it.
I always watch all three of the youtube channels. Awesome.
Maybe a gutter on that pig shelter with the slant roof to catch some rain water right where the pigs are, just a thought. Those are nice barrels by the way👍👍
I can't believe your reaction when you eat that dinner, it looks 5 star, where's the ENTHUSIASM? 🤩🤩🤩
Used to be an organic broiler operator, to lessen leg issues we give the chicks D3 and vitamin C for the first 2 weeks of their life. I notice more leg issues when we didn't give them those supplements early on.
im so jealous of that old barn. That thing is awesome.
love the podcast with Ben and Al
Your Kune kune are so smart. LoL i like seeing pigs in the woods. Lots of rooting opportunities. 💞
I ENJOY THE DUDES SHOP TALK, GREAT PODCAST
Have you tried poultry electrolytes in the turkey's water? If it's a vitamin deficiency, that might help give them the boost to get over it.
I’m enjoying the RUclips podcast.
Hi..... Jason and Lorraine you both are doing a great and a good job, thank you for showing your video homestead 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 👕🐔🐓🐣🐥🦃🐕🐄🐖🐝🌱🌻🌼🌹🌸🌺🌷🏡🎥👍👍👍
Love the piggys. Always learning something new from you... Excited pigs bark! 🐷🐶
Beautiful meal!
T-Posts thru the handles might work to secure barrel. 👍
You are one of my favorite families to watch. Love your content!
Omg... you guys expecting again... Sooo cool
Wow Lorraine! Never heard you speak so sharply before, as you did to Elvira in the bucket😂
As always great vid!!😊
howdy thx 4 sharing ur hard work
That looked like some pretty good cow ears.
I love your new podcast. You guys are amazing and smart. You tell it like it is. Keep it up friends. Bless you all ♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏👍👍
So sorry about the turkey's legs. Would letting them run loose help? The piggies are so cute!
Great video
Nothing more cuter them a pig ,
Your pigs are so sweet! ❤️🤗🤗
You would not need a pump to transfer water from a barrel on your truck to one on the ground. Just use a siphon.
Love the skateboard. A true California boy! 😊
Get some cattle brushes and attach them to some T-posts. Maybe they will leave the water can alone. If anything it would make some funny videos. Lol
Great job to you and the rest of the family.
"They're NOT meant to be put in the house." Hahaha
You could take a T post and put it through the hole of the black handle and then into the ground and it would help keep the basin upright and harder to knock over but you could easily move it when you move the basin. Just an idea, love your videos! Many blessings to you and your family!
We have two Kune Kune piglets and I catch them when it’s really hot sitting in there water. It’s so cute❤
Don’t trust those pigs Jason , you have the best sense of humor! You do have the most beautiful pigs! Lorraine the meal looks delicious!!!
Put a gutter on the pig house that leads to the blue barrel?
As always ..an interesting and fun video with some free instruction thrown in
I've been watching your podcast and I love it
I’ve been watching. I think it’s great. God bless.
Love the pod
Could you add water catchment to the pig cover? A simple angled "gutter" to a bowl that stayed attached to the shed would supplement water. It's free. Might as well get some use out of it
That little white truck is the real MVP🚛🙌🏾💯
I always put a ratchet strap around my barrel to a tree or t-post preventing them from tipping it over.
Love new trio podcast
Your truck is so handy! let us know how the Kune pigs adapted to their new water jug. Thank You for sharing!
💝💝💝
🕊
Love your attention to detail on all aspects of the way you try new things Jason 😮 I sure hope the pigs learn to drink from the drum how about using a metal drum keep on trucking take care Pete cape town south Africa looking forward to seeing your new channel growing
love those Kune's , my favorite piggies
Looks fabulous guys ❤️. If you want more natural light? Put windows on both sides of the light fixture and one looking towards the stalls. I’m so happy for you ❤️
❤
Trust me, if I had one of those piggies it would be in the house. Love the video as always.
I would build a small pond at the lowest point where all the rain runoff collects and build another small pond at the top of the property and use a ram pump to pump up the water it is great idea but a big project
love the podcast/channel❤ turkeys are hard....alot of people have trouble raising them...
Jason, and Lorraine, I think the white chickens, and turkeys (fast growing) grow to fast for their legs to support them. The fast growth causes other medical issues like thyroid issues, and deficiancies. I'm with you on going with the other birds.
Love those Kune Kunes of yours. They have such great personalities.
Dinner looked delicious!!! How do you make your Barbeqoa(SP?)?
Don't even know if you need a pump depending on the height. Maybe raise the IBC so you can fill directly into the truck or collect rain higher on the property.
Yum! 🌽🍖🥗
Talking turkey. LOL
We use those blue barrels on our house and sheds for water butts here in UK l have about 6 we never run out of water for our garden 😊we pay about $15 for them
That beef looked good
like your logo on your mini truck 🎉
Dig a pond high on the property to catch rain water.
Interesting. We just did our first batch of red rangers this spring. One of them had that leg issue and was getting pecked at by the others. Couldn’t walk, just kinda flopped around. Still eating and drinking though.
We separated him in a dog crate for a week or so and he recovered. No idea what caused it.
"....especially MY Kune-kunes". 🤣👍❤
Nooice! 😎 STOC
Jason, you surprised me when you mentioned they will eat the poison ivy, so I wondered, if you have Bush Honeysuckle and if so do they eat that as well? I'm interested in sustainable help with our honeysuckle invasion. TY! Love your channel and what you're doing!
wdym they're not meant to be in the house ruined my plans for this weekend entirely smh
That looks more funner to drive than a side by side except for tree misjudgments 😮
But I would be ok to drive it to and into our off grid property but not down our paths
Hopefully the leg issue isn’t merecks disease. My chickens had it and it slowly went through most of the flock. Same symptoms and a terrible fowl disease
Put a trough under the sloping shelter? No water cartage at all 😊
@18:46 If it's made by Loraine, you know it's off the chain! 🤤🤤🤤
Put a 100 gallon tank on the truck.
What breed of turkey do you guys have right now that you suggest not to get?
Quick question leaving that blue barrel out in the field with the sun. Hitting it all day, wouldn't the water get hot for the pigs
A thought for you, Justin has laid pipe all over the place. They have a trencher attachment for the skid steer.
what about a diy ram pump ? donno how it would work for pumping from drums / containers ? ? lotsa vids on them pumping from streams .
those piggies are noisy lol hugsss
What type of fencing are you using and where can I get it? Love how your videos are informative. Thank you all!
Zeke...Elvira...😊
You might need to dig a trench and set up water Spicket‘s along your farm for easy water access
Sorry about the turkeys. The humane thing would be to cull the one that isn't moving at all since it can't get to the feed and is getting trampled.
You talk about how hard your ground is in places. Maybe try discing those areas in the fall to try and lossen it up then put hogs on it in the fall.
How about making a small trailer for a water tank that auto fills from rain catchment setup?
I do this in jurassic world evolution 2. Campaign.
Strap your waterer to a tee post
Can you make the pigs a scratching post or panel, that you can move around with them?
Have you thought of using a Heritage breed of turkey rather than a commercial breed you could even hatch your own rather than buy them in. Have you thought of a water bowser that you can tow behind your truck. Have you thought of getting another breeding sow I'm just interested to know.
you drive me crazy using the channel locks backwards
I get why with the piglets, but why not just train to a one or two hot line instead of the netting for the adults. Wire/poly rope is so much easier for me to move that netting.
Those barrels are bad about the lid dry routing from the sun.
