I joined this channel 3or 4 years ago and i am seeing Tippy , Bessie and Ray from their birth .so it feels very sad to see them leave .since these does are so stunning i think you should defimitely breed them.
Yeah...i joined more or less during that time as well. Tippy and Bessie are 2 of my favourites so it is sad to see them go. But she can't keep them all
When you next do a sale you should do a meet the goat video like this . The personal touch that you give is a top selling point.
When we lived in Oklahoma we raised show rabbits. Went all over OK, Texas, Arkansas and Kansas showing rabbits. Loved the shows! Made some amazing friendships, etc. when we left Oklahoma we sold or gave away all our rabbits, our horses, etc. my children are grown and all of that isn’t as much fun without them and it’s a lot of work to do yourself. We had to tatoo the bunnies for show like the goats, follow the “standards of perfection”, etc. I enjoy your videos! Best wishes to the family!

Aww its sad to see some of them go but I understand sometimes you gotta sell them to make room for new blood and grow the heard. If was in the USA I'd probaly buy a few of the girls you have for sale. Im glad one of my favourites of the heard is one of your never sells but lots of them are my favourites. I rember when you first got the crazzies and were talking about buying them.

They are so pretty. Next year’s goal 1 BC buckling and a doe/doeling. You have such great, easy milkers.
I can’t wait for the sale next spring Hopefully I will be able to buy 2 of the older doe’s and if I can’t buy them maybe I will buy some 1yr old or some baby’s. I’m really hoping I can Buy Tippy and Bessie. I would love to welcome them in my herd of 4 doe’s.

Even if you are not going to breed these 4 .i would say you should breed Lillie because she is a great goat she still needs to throw her awesome genetics .i think lillie and Aragon would make a great doe kid together for blue cactus.
Comment - selling un-bred dry senior does in the Spring is more difficult (out of breeding season) than if they are bred to one of your good producing sires (increasing their value). Buyers will want to see more value in purchase options. Been there, done that.
Nigerians come into heat several times a year unlike the full size goats .😊

What is difference with stars for milking?
@@bethbishop3828 If a Doe earns her milk star then she is considered as a high milk producer . For eg .A doe is a 1star milker her daughter would be a 2 star milk if she earns hers.it goes through the generation.Lillie is a 5* Milker so 5 generations above her have all their milkstar meaning awesome milking genetics behinds her.

How do you decide which ones to let go of and which ones to hold on to?
Will drive down to take maternity ward night shift watch for milk and food if you want to breed those girls . Old ladies like me who worked nights most of my human nurse career can't sleep at night. You might be able to teach an old dog new tricks, but unlearning tricks is another matter. If I can't learn to sleep nights after 10 years of retirement, I'm never going to.

This might be my thinking. But, instead of breeding them, and keeping them for kidding, and have that extra work on you. Couldn’t breeding them, and selling them bred be an option? I think I have in my head that if they were bred, that would increase the chances of them selling. I would get Pepper in a heartbeat if I could get goats right now. She is gorgeous. Stay Awesome. ❤

Do you breed these four? Tippy- Only if Heather wants to use one of your bucks instead of her own Nefarious... and she gets to deliver the kids-no extra work for you. I would be interested in helping that sale to happen since I have always loved Tippy and then I get to follow her journey on Sages channel. Tell me how best to donate, with you or with Sage?
Jazzy Ray- No, you have Revel. You can enjoy Ray thru her. Pepper- Same, you have Piper. If you can sell bred this fall, then sure. Only if you already have a buyer who will deliver the kids.
Bessie- Yes! You worked so hard to get those new bloodlines. Why not keep her or one of her babies? You have tons of May in your herd. In 2025 only keep babies from the other lines to build up like Abilene, Dreamer, Revel, Daisy, Bessie, Honey and Piper (and Wildee if you don't keep Windy). If Candy's confirmation is good enough keep her to continue those lines. (Well, now I remember she is related to Dreamer and Daisy so that may be overkill). And down the road, if you want, you can buy a Tippy baby back to reintroduce those lines (you know the sire would be quality).

Yes but I would make sure to monitor very carefully if I decided not to breed them.
