Sir, I think I might have told you this already, but I'll do it again anyway. If you increase the pen sensitivity, the tablet will receive the signal from the pen, from a longer distance. Which means, the cursor will appear on your screen, without letting the pen touch the tablet. Like this, you will see where the pen is, and it will be easier to draw on non screen tablets. Try it out :)

However if yo're on a budget, I think you should go for either Huion or XP-Pen. Both offer great products for cheaper price than Wacom. It's better to have something you can practice on so you can build up your skills, then just upgrade to a graphic display monitor (Wacom Cintiq, Huion Kamvas, XP-Pen Artist) once you finally save up enough for one.

I bought this about 2 months ago and it's my first tablet. The nibs wear really good and do not scratch the tablet surface. Yes, the first time opening the stand was difficult, but once you get it, it's easy after that. It does work on Android, but I use it on PC with Krita. This thing gets along so well with Krita. The driver is featured and the shortcuts help workflow. The included glove was too small for my hand, but I just use a little baby powder on my hand to help it slide across the tablet much better. :D
When I first got it, I HATED it... BUT... it only took a couple hours to get really good with it. Now, I prefer to draw on the tablet vs analog.

I'm sure someone already mentioned it, but to see the cursor while hovering (to find mark-point), just change Photoshop settings to show the brush tip NORMAL instead of brush tip ACTUAL under Edit>Preferences>Cursors>Painting Cursors. Then you can see the brush at all times. Though I could see it anyway when I used a Deco, so I'm not sure what other setting may be at play here.
The Deco V2 (that's "DECO V2" not "DECO 01 V2") is often on sale for around $75 and it features the quintessential "big red dial." Now that I've used a few XP-Pen devices, the dial has become a huge part of the appeal. Almost all tablets are great, so it comes down to niche needs to find the right one. The dial allows for smooth resizing of the brush to any increment (where as the "brackets" only jump between preset points, skipping up to 500 points when using a hi-res canvas). You can also zoom with it, which means with the dial and one button.. you can now resize your canvas and brush to any increment at any moment. Workflow speed-up here can't be understated.
But yeah, the XP-Pen deco line is my go-to for introducing budget-oriented beginners to the medium. I used the Deco V2 for professional illustration with my mobile workstation before I switched to the XP-Pen Artist Pro 13.3" graphic tablet. It still took me a couple months to sell off the Deco because I got attached to it and didn't want to see it go lol.

I'm wondering why there's no pressure sensitive stylus for android that's a wireless Sonar Pen. Instead of plugging into the headphone jack, the pen comes with a small wireless receiver that connects via USB, and communicates with the pen, grabbing the pressure and tilt info in real time. To mitigate unwanted touch inputs, the receiver would track when there's pressure on the pen, and if it is, the screen would ignore input from whatever isn't the pen. The only drawback to this is the pen would need a battery since Android screens don't use EMR tech. Hopefully a replaceable AAA battery and NOT a AAAA battery that Surface Pens use, since the lack of power contributes to the wobbly lines and lag on those pens.
There's an idea for Apple Pencil and Wacom competitors that I'm surprised no one has attempted. Android needs a wireless, universal, pressure sensitive pen that works on all their phones and tablets.

Well there are stylus enabled Android tablets. There are Samsung selections, and the tab s6 lite and the the Tab A 2019 with s-pen are cheaper options too.
Huawei tablets also have stylus support.
The RD is probably too expensive, since people after a stylus supported Tablet already have options the target audience will be too small to go with the effort.

I had to return mine yesterday as it doesn't really work with Mac's Catalina -- I thought it was me and my incompetence, but it turn out it's a rather diffused problem (check online anywhere). XP-Pen driver won't talk to a MacBook Air the way it should and the trackpad takes over the tablet's pen once you install it. So you can't use it at all. Tried several times (uninst/reinst/even did the glove dance...), followed instruction manual, and spoke to producer's support. Even used without installing the driver just with Sketchbook but at that point all functions are not recognised--obviously.
It's a pity because I did like the product. Had to buy a Wacom now. Love your videos, Brad: fun and helpful, thanks mate.

I know it's a late answer and you probably already figured it out, but just in case someone else reads this: Yes you can. You can configure this tablet to work in a 0 (normal), 90 (vertical with buttons up), 180 (left handed) or 270 (vertical with buttons down) degree rotation. Between the right and left handed it seems to mirror the hotkeys, so Hotkey 1 will always be the one at the top. But you can configure each hotkey individually anyway.

I have tried it, to my chagrin I didnt realize that membrane was the protective cover, and was dejected at how quickly it got scratched lol XD, happy to say it works well no scratching, and yea that protective cover actually gives a "canvas" look on some brushes, but prefer the bit of the actual surface

Between the Huion H611 and this tablet, which one is more worth it for the price? Do they perform the same? I've been considering buying either of them and I would appreciate if someone could help me.
