'Yoohooo! Phyllida! Breakfast! And you'd slither down the stairs...'
I adore her, her daughter and from the sounds of it, her mother too.

What an absolutely lovely woman. I am so grateful that neither of my late parents developed this heart-breaking disease because I saw how my dear grandmother suffered, but like Phyllida's mother, she had wonderful support from her family.

this is so relatable...imagine for those of us who don't have the many resources others do...it makes the situation 10x more difficult yet we do it anyway for those we love and care about...Thank you Phyllida for sharing your story....Dementia does not discriminate...it takes its hold on anyone any place any time...Blessings to you, love your work always

I just thank the universe that my mother did not suffer from Alzheimer's although she did have severe memory loss towards the end of her life due to lack of oxygen reaching the brain. So although fully aware with an active mind she lost many of the things she enjoyed such as weekly tv programs because she just could not keep track of story lines. We should not be commended for sticking with our parents through these times but there are those who do not. Nice one Phyllida Law.
