I’ve been a ProTools user for 29 years and use many of these shortcuts, sometimes stacked together with Keyboard Maestro. Still picked up a trick or two, though. Thanks for this, Cato!

Thanks so much for your video. I've been wanting to know about that little red button for many many years and I learnt it from you now the first time! You can't imagine how excited I was to learn about it when you were explaining just now. I felt like Einstein when he discovered the theory of relativity. You just made my day. All the other tips were super useful as well. Definitely would love to see such more protools videos.

I've been working with Pro Tools for 20 years and it still surprises me that everyone always has a new short cut I didn't know or I had completely forgotten because of changes on my workflow. I would actually freak me out if someone told he that he or she has read the whole 100 plus pages long PT short cut manual. I usually use the TAB key as "tab to transient". When I switched to the latest versions of PT from PT HD 11 it freaked me out that it had changed to the way it works on this video, and I had to go to preferences and turn that on.

Why isn’t there an AAX version of the Splice Bridge so we can sync sounds from the desktop app to Pro Tools? Very surprised that Pro Tools isn’t supported.

Ur awesome. After all my years of using everything but Protools, I started in & took the jump. Diving in after a week of hell not knowing jack pretty much about how to get around,.. I found you. Now it’s Peaches, Vanilla ice cream with cinnamon sugar pastry on the side. Thnkx my dear. T’was very helpful a little quick fast speaking (understandable ‘cuz u covered a lot of ground in a short time) but makes me understand it a lot better. Next time my lazy a$$ will grab a manual. *P.S. they should call you the video she Manual for PT.* 8-)

Hi. Do you know how to make a smooth transition of eq7 settings from one preset to another? So that you don't have to draw 20 lines of automation, but have PT create them yourself (in selected clip). I know that it could be done somehow, but I forgot. And I don't know if it can be done in the PT Artist and Studio versions. Thank you for the videos. Best regards. :)

I don't understand how the name of the program can have the word PRO if I constantly encounter glitches and freezes. It's just horrible. I tried to become a user of this DAW (before that I worked with cubase, studio one, now with reaper) being influenced by the marketing vibe (industry standard, used by top engineers) but it's just ridiculous. I feel very sorry for these poor people who have been tied to this garbage for years and cannot leave it.

You probably haven't optimized your system per Avid's recommendations. Been an operator for 20 years and this rarely happens for me. Cheers
